This is a setup that Spotswood made for me... It wasn't quite the same as the original design, but i think it turned out pretty well

'The right to privacy matters'
guys not to thread crap but some of these

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FOYLCO/ref=oh_details_o07_s02_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with some of these

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008DHPC/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and some of these

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FMUA8A/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and you can pretty much have that setup

but to be fair  his would be good if the price is low enough.

mine cost me 6 x 5 = 30   the rods  plus 2 x 15  the grills  and 7 for the  nuts  total of  67 bucks.

and I like his better.  if I did mine over I would  have  use  thicker rods and bigger nuts sounds like  a porno

Glow Stick Dance!
I'll order a Model B if you are making another batch.  I'm a repeat customer.  I bought a Bitfury frame from you last year and love it.  Wish I'd bought 4 more because my other Bitfury rigs look nasty without the case.

How do the units not fall through? What holds each unit in place?

Nice frame BTW.

Thanks.

The miners rest on a "lip" formed by the different widths of the flat bar:

Any idea when they will be ready for shipping?

I plan on building a small batch of the Gridseed cases this weekend.

Send me a PM, indicating which version and quantity you are interested in (A, B, or C)?  See OP: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5250985

Note: All models can be stacked.

In scrypt only mode a single good 600Watt atx psu or a couple of standard industrial psu will be enough so why have all that free space on the rig?
...

Again, not that much free space.

I need a solution for 50 with or without fans

Three of these would be pretty darn compact (2x 200mm fans):
...

It's an interesting idea but only if you mine scrypt...you have stacked 5 module so in sha256 each stack is 300watt.
There's no way to dissipate 600watt (2 stack) with a common 20" case fan (that fan seems the antec big boy)... they will burn like an exposed uranium rod  Grin
I thought it was obvious...yes, this design is for scrypt mining only.   Cheesy

Well since you showed a corsair 1200W I tought you would use the modules also in dual-mode  Smiley

In any case I'm trying too to scretch a model rig for myself (40 modules) and  I like your displacement because it's probably the best way to manage neatly the mess that 80 cables are able to create  Shocked but my fear it's really to run for mistake the modules in dual-mode...

Probably all of you already know that but if you bypass the controller and want to connect all modules to a pc using the custom cpuminer all the cores will ne on and is not still yet possible disable the BTC cores...I hope for a firmware patch soon because I really would like to control the full rig remotely  Roll Eyes

My hubs are supplied by lightning asic (might be different for different resellers) and are 120mm x 80mm x 20mm

TP link style controllers are 58mm x 58mm x 18mm

Uhhh! Me too Smiley

Sexy!

Do you think its a bit too generous with the space at the side though? I am going to run these using one standard ATX PSU so i need space for that, two USB hubs and two tiny TPlink controllers only (taking 5V power from the PSU too).

Or - I need something to house 60pcs miners plus 3 ATX PSU, 6 usb hubs and 6 TPlink controllers?

What are the dimensions of the USB hubs and controllers?

PMs sent.   Wink

You got my order? ... Haven't received a PM ^^ ...

accessories for the 20 miner case, are 4 industrial power supply, 2 usb hubs 10 port & at least 2 controller ...

will there be enough screws and mounting possibilities to mount them all in the case ... ?

Er, I only sent PMs to those I hadn't been in contact with before.

The one-tier case has 575x515mm (22.5x20-inches) of "floor" space, while the two-tier only has 310x515mm (12x20).  The 310mm/12-inch width of the two-tier case could be increased some to help mount all of the "accessories."   Wink

The slots in the support beams accept M3 nuts, but I have no idea with regards to the length(s) of bolts that are required to mount the myriad of other hardware.  Just let me know, and I will include them with the case.

I made a wooden rig for myself which looks like your last drawing.
Better dissipation of heat is with the configuration on the upper floor (fan down).

So I can confirm this kind of design works.

Nice job! Looks like a nice weekend or evening project Wink
Care to share the specs / drawings, if any?
Parts, measurements, and so on.

Even if in scrypt mode they run quite cool I don't think is a good idea to encase a bunch of modules into a 19x27 rack ... transfer out the heat could be quite a problem
Interested but the dimensions aren't quite what we are looking for.  Would much prefer something that fits within a standard data center cabinet (19"x27" max)

ASIC Wannabe
This doesnt make much sense to me - the manufacturer will probably have a single-board, 40-chip design soon enough that is a lot more stand-alone then a ton of little cylindrical heatsinks
I'm not a fan of these miners either, but I've been asked to create a case to help organize the cable mess that these inevitably create.   Grin

Construction materials, price, availability, dimensions, assembly required, shipping weight, cable management options? So many questions. Smiley

All anodized aluminum construction.  Positions of all of the lower beams is adjustable (to facilitate mounting all of the other HW required for these miners).  Mounting tabs for 2 PSUs.
Price is $120, plus shipping from NH, US.
Available in 2-3 weeks.
The cases are approximately 23x20x7-inches and 12x20x7-inches (W x D x H).
Ships as a kit (un-assembled).
Shipping weight will be < 4 pounds.
The case is designed around cable management.  The power and USB cables connect to the miners in the wider areas, between rows, and then fed down into the lower tier.
