I read somewhere on Reddit that Multibit HD "calls home" the first time it is launched.
What does it mean? Are there any privacy issues implicated in this thing?

Its checking for new updates. It could become a privacy issue for you if you want to hide that you are using MBHD and someone is monitoring your traffic.

Ok, so nothing to worry about.
Thank you shorena.
