The help for the older version of MultiBit (MultiBit Classic) doesn't apply for MultiBit HD.
All the files are stored completely differently.

We found that people copying files around on Classic was quite error prone so in HD wallet files are put in set directories and there is no flexibility. This is to avoid the sort of problem that you are experiencing.

You have a couple of options:

+ (Easiest) Create a new wallet on the computer that you want to use. Send your bitcoin from the old to the new.
+ Do a restore on the new computer from one of the encrypted backups stored in your cloud sync directory on your old computer.
