I am currently trying to help a friend with restoring a wallet. In testing a wallet with a small number of addresses all goes well, my friend has 70 or so addresses and I cannot sync or replay block chain with this wallet. it freezes at 15 to 20%. I have left it for 8 hours and doesn't move past 20%.
Can I ask how many addresses you have in your wallet?
Does the sync process start at all?
Does multi bit freeze or stop responding?
Have yo fixed your problem and if so how?

Finally my wallet synchronized. I have clicked reset blockchain and transactions which is in tools menu.
