Hi,

I just started using multibit as a lightweight client instead of bitcoin core.

I have imported some private keys from a wallet form blockchain which had 0.05 BTC in it and now multibit says I have 0.13 BTC. Previously I only had some dust in the multibit wallet somewhere around 0.004 or so.

Any idea what this may be? I'm going through my addresses as of right now to see what could be off, but if someone had something similar before I'd be happy to hear some input.

(No new transactions were received, that is not the reason why my balance went up. It simply shows more than what it showed in blockchain.info)

I would suggest you check the balances with a blockchain explorer[1] that is not blockchain.info and compare the total balances with multibit and bc.i. My best guess currently would be that bc.i did not show the correct balance or that multibit has problems syncing. A step towards finding the solution is to figure out which balance is the correct one.

Ok, I managed to solve it by running a "Reset Blockchain and Transactions".
Weird that transactions simply didn't add up. I checked the addresses and there simply wasn't as much anywhere in the balances as it was shown. Anyway, solved now.

Thanks for the suggestions and help!

It shows fully synced and I have restarted multibit multiple times. I'll see if I can reload it.

Maybe multibit has not fully synced to the blockchain yet so not all txs are accounted for.
