Glad you got it working.

Can you see if it is leading or trailing spaces ?

We have an issue raised against this as currently we aren't trimming spaces:

Sigh. You don't think I've tried that? Like a BILLION times. It will accept the address - which is correct - but it still won't unfreeze. The address was valid - I triple-checked it and then used the exact same address on Coinbase and no trouble. Multibit is hanging on that "Send Payment" page. http://welcometowallyworld.com/storage/Screen Shot 2016-01-06 at 18.34.09.png

It has tried to send ONCE only...and then it said there were not enough Satoshis for the transaction. So I tried a much smaller amount...and nothing. I can't get it to unfreeze.

Update: Hey Jim. I worked it out. For some reason it didn't like that address I fed into it - even though Coinbase accepted it. So...I sent it to my wallet on Coinbase. And...Success! After 2 days of struggle.

Thanks for your help.

The recipient bar in your screen shot is red because you have not specified a valid Bitcoin address to send to.

If you specify a valid Bitcoin address the red will disappear and the 'Next' button will enable.

Started a new a/c with MultibitHD yesterday. It loaded the bitcoins and showed a balance at the top of the screen. But I can't access them - can't send them on. The "recipient" bar is RED and the "next" button is greyed out.

On the "Payments" screen there are two entries. The first one (by time) shows "Yesterday 10.59. Under "Status" there's a file icon. Under "Type" it says "Part Paid".

The other entry says "Yesterday 12.10..."Status" - green tick..."Type" - received.

When I look at the details it says "This bitcoin was sent to you"..."Confirmed by 168 blocks". BUT on the last screen it says "Status: Part Paid".

After two days of frustration I opened a Coinbase a/c and everything was done in minutes, no problem.

I have no other isseus with the connection or the WIFI. Just can't send the bitcoins in the MultibitHD account.

It's doing my head in. Oh yeah - I've performed the "Repair wallet" 3 times to no effect. This is what the send screen looks like - http://www.welcometowallyworld.com/storage/PaymentScreen.png Doesn't always say "The exchange rate is out of date". I just refreshed it and now it reads "Exchange rate OK" but the recipient bar is still RED. The screen just seems to be frozen. Surely it can't take 28 hours to be able to send?
