There is no need for longwinded complicated methods to import MultiBit HD seeds to Electrum anymore... as of Electrum v2.9.0... you can import directly into Electrum (and Electron Cash) and select the correct derivation path (m/0') when you are prompted by Electrum (or Electron Cash)

Have you managed to import your MultiBit wallet on Electrum?

If yes, follow this guide[1] written by Electrum.

So I have what I now know is no longer supported bitcoin wallet. I need to move from this wallet to another wallet.

I have all of the private keywords etc I found a guide but it looks excessively complicated https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/53419/how-do-i-import-a-multibit-hd-wallet-with-seeds-into-electrum

All I want to do is transfer to another wallet and make sure that i can claim my bitcoin cash from the new wallet

any help would be great
