I don't claim to be an expert on how Google search engine operates, but I think that when you break the link the way you did, the topic becomes less "reachable" from the search engine, which as explained in my previous post lowers the chances of potential victims finding their way to this very topic.
In fact, sometimes I think that there is no way for someone who has enough knowledge to operate a PC or a Phone to actually fall for such an obvious scam, but you will be surprised by the number of victims, remember Siwssminer?
On a side note, I started a topic exposing these scammers, would appreciate your input, pretty hard to convince a non-miner that those specs are scammy.
