i have a higher and more constant hash rate, and less then .05% stale shares

having 2 miners shouldn't improve performance at all. theoretically, the performance should be lower because the card has to switch between the 2 miners.

I would say it should be higher because cards don't "switch" - they wait for tasks to be thrown at it in numerous little chunks, and mining is a whole bunch of little tasks.  A second instance could mop up some of the time the card spends waiting on a CPU to send it more units of work.

I'm also using 2 instances with low aggression. Deepbit average shows that speed is the same as a single instance with high aggression. Also I get no desktop lag as a bonus.

Local hash rate reported by phoenix miner? Better measure number of submitted shares per given (long) time.

I had a settings for phoenix (with low AGGRESSION) where it reported larger hashrate, but the number of submitted shares was actually lower.

If you really are able to mine faster when using more miners per GPU, it means that single miner cannot feed the GPU fast enough. Strange, but may happen.

I have several  GPU and have 2 instances of phoenix miner per GPU, my hash rate is far more stable and higher then it was running one instance per GPU, has anyone else experienced this or know why it is the case?
