.95 should be fine.  I did .80 onwards with mine since the first 80 should be free for a pantload of DHCP assignments.

You can just plug all the miners into a switch and then have the switch uplink to the modem just like you mentioned.  Obviously the fewer links the lower the latency but it shouldn't matter that much.

So much help in one awesome resources. Thank you!

IP Address      192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask   255.255.255.0
Default Gway  192.168.1.1

Miners are now assigned 192.168.1.95 and similar. Should this pose any problems?

Also, have been plugging the new miners into open ports on the modem. Have one port left with 3-4 machines needing a home. If I buy a basic hub/switch do I simply use it as an extension of ports?

Last port 5 I would plug the hub/switch into the remaining port giving gives ports 5x(V,W,Y,X,Z).
Now, simply plug the next machine into port 5-V, login and configure, change IP, logout and plug the next idle machine into port 5-W, login and configure, change IP, logout and repeat?

Thanks all.

It might be a good idea to assign them a static IP and put it a little bit higher than the normal range so you don't get any conflicts that could lead to miner downtime.

Once you have configured your first miner, change its ip address to be different to the other two miners and then just rinse n' repeat the setup with those. (these settings are in Network > Interfaces > Lan)

Hey Gang! Have searched the setup pages... help!

Have 3x S1s looking to get online at home. Have FiOS modem with 4 ports, no problem.

Plugged first miner in, found it by navigating to set IP by browser, configured and it is mining. Boom!

Now, I have 2x more mines with the same IP stamped on them. How do I move the first miner off that stamped IP in order that I add and configure the second and third machines?

I have computer IP, Subnet, Gateway. XP machine. Step by steps would be a huge help.

thanks!

also, with the machine i added i'm over 1 Th/s... want more power!!
