below is the official agenda, as can be found on the conf. website, along with my notes in green:
Opening Address: The State of Blockchain & Cryptocurrency in India
Speaker: Sandeep Goenka - Spokesperson, DABFI - Digital Assets & Blockchain Foundation IndiaMr. Sandeep was extremely pessimistic on the regulatory aspect of Bitcoins, and warned everyone that the government may decide to ban bitcoin any day. "A blanket ban is not off the table" he said repeatedly. I thought this was a very poor speech to make as an opening speaker for a crypto currency conference, where legal professionals are also presenting. Secondly and thirdly as the head of India's largest bitcoin company & the head of DABFI, he could have shown a little enthusiasm for the industry in India he is at the forefront of.Massive Crypto Adoption Through Gaming with Gamecredits & MobileGO
Speaker: Sergey Sholom - CEO & Alex Migitko - Evangelist, GamecreditsAbout Session: One third of Earth population are gamers and Gamecredits’ aim is to deliver crypto currency adoption on this scale in the most casual and user friendly way possible. Gamecredits & MobileGO together expand this vision even further by bringing blockchain benefits to PC and Mobile gaming together with creating future of Esports.
Very interesting and disruptive model to existing game markets (iTunes store, Google Play Store, etc) which charge gamers alot and take a lot of commission from developers making the games, hence squeezing both parties for profit, and the gamer's experience and game itself suffers in the bargain. Their model provides a platform with an incentive for developers to list, charging very low fees which are then passed on to users. The currency is not new either, has been around since 2015. Can really take off provided they are able to gain wide acceptance in gaming community.Blockchain Technology: Driving Efficiency, Reducing Costs & Creating a New Economy
