I see he is very active in tweeting about cryptocurrency issues, it seems that he is a fan of this market and I believe he also owns a large amount of Bitcoin. I wouldn't think this was FUD because he was so funny, I saw him a few months ago changed his name to DOGE founder, but he immediately deleted it later. Btw with a celebrity like Elon Musk, it's great that he is often interested in this market. Certainly the market will thrive in the future
He only tries how to make you panic for buying DOGE and you know how much DOGE coin supply and how to make price raise up although 1% is very difficult with coin have unlimited supply allocation, when you heard some one recommendation about bitcoin and altcoin price without have background with cryptocurrency world I never hear and care what he tweets and announcement in their social media account.

He was joking around about being the founder of DOGE.

Dogecoin is not a very serious project. It's not a project that's progressing. That's what I know. Dogecoin is a joke project. It's important to have an old project. I don't think you're gonna stand up too long. Dogecoin will be removed from the market sooner or later.

You can allow what their prediction and tweet about bitcoin and which one coin have to buy, but you did it at the early elon musk make his tweets and you can get profit, but if you late about one hour or three hour later after his tweets better not get chance for investing and trading with his tweet coin, but you need time with looking most respond person on social media account.

He also mentioned about DOGE & ETH, I believe he is very into crypto and trying to manipulate the pricing  Grin
I tried to buy doge when he mentioned about doge, because last time when he mentioned about doge, it had increased by around 30%. but yesterday when I already bought, then elonmusk deleted the tweeted about doge, and of course I immediately sell it. I did not get a loss after buying at 28 and resold at 28. really the real manipulation lol
The guy's influential, let's give him that. I think those kind of tweets from elon musk can pump or dump a coin more than john mcaffee. With the things he's done and he's been doing, he can convert a lot of crypto doubters into optimists. Having said that, of course he can make a difference in the market movement for crypto. Though with the most recent tweet, who knows if he's just trolling.
I know he is quite influential, every tweet always causes an increase reaction, but I also know he does it maybe for his own sake or someone is paying, as happened with McAfees, he charges a rate for each tweet. but of course I like that and always use the moment to make a profit.

I don't know if he is attempting to sway the price intentionally but if someone of his likeness, image and stature were to speak, the masses would certainly hear it. So his influence could be considered a viable variable lightly impacting the markets volatility, just by speaking a few words in light of the cryptocurrency. If anything it just means Musk is pretty much aware and an avid follower within the cyrptocurrency scene as I'm guessing many more of tech guys of similar fame and notoriety are.

He can't manipulate the price with having less than one bitcoin. Also, I do think this tweet is just over-hyped. Still, Musk doesn't show that much interest on cryptocurrency, at least he is not vocal about it. It didn't also affect the price that much either, and it seems like this is only a joke, as of now. He might give some hints, but it's still not as far as supporting cryptocurrency, though there's still some possibility.

He is not a president or a person who can influence prices with just one blank sentence. even before this he openly tweeted about doge. A businessman often reveals things in reverse at first, but I didn't think he would be that serious. On the other hand, it can also be the code for subsequent tweets on the same topic, or even none at all.

whatever is said or written on Twitter by mentioning the name of bitcoin on social media famous people is tantamount to promoting bitcoin to all of its followers, whether what is said is bad or good, it will introduce bitcoin in public and make their followers ask questions about bitcoin, so it helps bitcoin to be known by millions of other people, this is only part of my narrow thinking, we know elon musk has a lot of followers, no matter talking about prices will definitely follow afterwards

Trying to manipulate the crypto market with a tweet created. Elonmusk will certainly be a role model for his followers, this will be a massive manipulation. Elonmusk will become an elite whales who are able to control the crypto market very easily.

This will just happen if and only if, Elon Musk will really accumulate huge market volume of a certain cryptocurrency or to have his own currency in particular, because controlling with just tweets might be effective, it will just be in a short term. Unlike having cryptocurrency volumes in your have, whereas, you could really control the market to either dump or pump the market price of a particular cryptocurrency that you like.

I know some people would call this that crypto isn't decentralized anymore because of manipulation, but actually it depends upon us whether to believe these hypes or not.

he tried to take advantage by making tweets that I think is enough to make followers believe and he made a nudge and nonsense when one has a lot of followers they feel that everything will be in trust and can affect many things in the world of crypto and trade even all that could.

Sometimes I feel he's just an attention seeker. He does this with everything, whether it was that tweet on taking Tesla private or that old tweet about eth.
I don't see any reason but creating a confusion in the market for that *not* safe tweet. He might be influencel but the community will not flow according to what he say.

I agree.  what is the sense of tweeting something if a person does not benefit from it.  I believe Musk is rallying people through his hype to support Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency he is supporting to lift up its price so that he can dump on them whenever huge profit is seen.

He is trying to create an effect in this crypto market. Of course, Elon is a technology lover and he certainly will not ignore bitcoin and blockchain technology. sooner or later he enters this market and manipulates it forcefully. But surely he will soon push its price up and now is a good time for us to buy and hold bitcoins. There are quite a few factors to point to the rise of bitcoin in 2020, which is instability in world politics and the Halving event of bitcoin. We have no reason not to hold it from now on.

I tend to refer to this tweet of his before anything else. https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1119093220544147457?lang=en

I think he uses it as a weird little outlet more than any type of meaningful platform much of the time. If I were him I would've quit some time ago as having an instant conduit from his mind to a global audience must've cost tens of millions in legal ball ache by now.

Thanks for the link.  Grin

It looks like that.
We could now safely say that all his tweets will be nonsense too.

Big names now talking about bitcoin and crypto currencies.
Do they have a purpose in doing so? Are they trying to bring it down or is it just that they own something too.
Just a little bumpy road upwards and they all started to become enthusiasts.  Grin

Not totally price manipulation. But I remember before around glory days of bull run 2017-2018 when some celebrity or tech famous twitter accounts like John McAfee who are using his twitter account to shill some shitcoins before and that's totally example of price manipulation for sure, like extremely huge percentage change when he is doing some tweets before about some shitcoins.
But Elon Musk today is different, just what others said, it doesn't even have any effects on the price of Bitcoins nor price manipulation.
We cannot say that elon musk is part of the manipulation that is happening right now because we have no proofs and evidences. After his tweet, there are a lot of articles and opinions all over the social media networks about what elon musk said. Manipulation is in everywhere but we are not sure if Elon Musk is also have bitcoin/s. People are now excited because of what he tweeted.
