they are all very good questions, but sadly they will never be answered directly by satoshi nakamoto! unfortunately satoshi chose the path of silence after he gave us his creature and showed everyone that it really works! I don't think satoshi lost the keys to his wallets but more than anything else he left them there to show everyone that he's not a greedy person, and this can be interpreted as a sign of trust to everyone! would you have trusted bitcoin if satoshi had sold his million btc?
Bitcoin is very broad and having controlled in the market. I believe so much in the digital world, it's reduces stress and most of us are keen on trading the market, staying at home all day printing money. Satoshi Nakamoto have been brave and experience founder of Bitcoin, he's definitely the best I've come acrossed.  Satoshi Nakamoto was probably one of the top influencers in the crypto market, it's very unbelievable to witnessed that he discreet himself from the world, no one knows what's his true identity.

we will never know satoshi's identity, unless he himself shows himself to the whole world, it would be enough for him to sign a message on the blockchain with his address that we all know, but once he declares himself, what could ever change for us ? he made a choice and he didn't make it for money! to me this is worth more than anything else

Satoshi Nakamoto is no more active on this forum anymore, it's now left for members on here to answer your question if they feel like, but as for me, I found most of these questions stupid.

The majority of the questions have been answered already that's why I find them ridiculous, you can answer your questions yourself OP if you can think very well.

Even if Nakamoto is active on the forum today I am not sure he will answer your question, unless he found one or two that's not ridiculous.

If the FBI decides to uncover who Satoshi Nakamoto is today, it will be easy if he is active on this forum right now, I have my reasons for saying this, imagine if this forum is the only place that Nakamoto is active on, think about it.

He vanished for the sake of what he created.

The real mysterious creator Satoshi himself couldn't answer your any question because we have not heard from him since his disappearance which you also know so no fun in even thinking he will come out to give you clarity on the matter.

But from the community like gmaxwell you have already received all your answers which he might also give if we was actively taking part in these discussions so you have your answers. The biggest part is we all are Satoshi who beleive in Bitcoin at last  and more importantly as said admire his creation and use it rather then finding his true identity because we cannot disclose it so no fun in that.

I directed large language model to answer your questions.  It said all the stuff that everyone should have already known.

1. I created blockchain and Bitcoin to address the issue of trust and centralization in the financial system. Giving it out for free was essential for it to gain adoption and foster a community around the technology.

2. The coins created by the genesis block can never be spent.  Any assumptions about my transactions are inevitably incorrect.

3. Privacy and anonymity are important aspects of the Bitcoin network. Revealing my identity might compromise the project's democratic nature.

4. I am unable to discuss the specifics of my private keys or their potential loss.

5. Predicting the future value of Bitcoin is challenging, but I believe in its potential.

6. I am unable to disclose personal information, including my current status.

7. The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is not important. What matters is the technology and the impact it can have on the world.

8. I have no regrets in creating Bitcoin. The potential for positive change in the financial industry outweighs any potential negative consequences.

9. The decision to sell or use my coins for charitable purposes is personal and not something I will discuss.

10. The evolution of Bitcoin is a natural process, and changes to its development are to be expected. It is up to the community to maintain its original principles.

11. See answer 3 and 7.

12. My actions with my own coins should not significantly impact the overall stability of the Bitcoin network.

13. The defense against a 51% attack relies on the decentralized nature of the network, not on any individual's coin holdings.

14. The choice of 21 million as the maximum supply of Bitcoin was an arbitrary decision, but it serves to create scarcity and incentivize long-term value.

15. The halving interval of 4 years was designed to allow for gradual and predictable decreases in the rate of new coin generation, promoting a stable economic environment.

16. My focus was on the technology, not on evading authorities. The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is not important compared to the potential impact of the technology.

17. The longevity of Bitcoin depends on the continued support of its community and its ability to adapt to new challenges. I did not design it with a specific expiration date in mind.

18. The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is not important. The technology and its impact on the world should be the focus.

19. I cannot disclose my current involvement or activities related to the Bitcoin network.

20. I cannot disclose personal information about my family, including their involvement or knowledge of Bitcoin.

Please don't worry about asking questions; it is important for people to learn and understand the technology behind Bitcoin and its potential impact on the world. However, the focus should remain on the technology and its development, rather than the identity of its creator.

9. How about if you sell your coin for charity rather than allow it waste.
Firstly, this up here is not a question.

And secondly, if God was human people like  you would have cause so much regret.
Let me use instance of our day to day activities,  who created money? Why did the person create money? This is exactly what your questions point at, Satoshi in my own view maybe is just the person that is used to improve human living.
Just as the person/ people that created money, made it to facilitate human living so as Satoshi.

What is left for you is to think of what impact you can make in this life, rather than asking questions to entertain us here.
Where ever Satoshi is right now, he or she must be proud of himself for creating an impact that is helping people now to earn a better living.

If I were Satoshi, I would simply answer, "Why do I have to answer all those questions when most are personal."

I don't really like answering personal questions unless it's from my close friends or family Grin

It's not easy to stay behind the curtains because many eyes are watching Satoshi. Maybe that's the reason for not showing himself back in this forum. But he could still be in this forum and just laugh seeing how many people are still curious about him Grin

When I knew about bitcoin I asked about the creator and a name was given me as Satoshi Nakamoto. When I researched about the name I was told it was a pseudonym and at the same time the Satoshi is anonymous. I did not bother myself more about his identity.

Coming to this forum and I saw Satoshi profile, that showed that Satoshi actually communicated here, I now have the feeling that Satoshi is in this forum.
Since there is no KYC and there is privacy allowed here. There is every chance that Satoshi is here.

Here is therefore my 20 questions to you Satoshi:

1. Why did you create a technology as big as blockchain and bitcoin and gave it out for free?

2. Why have you not withdrawn your coins including the genesis block and other btc in 20+ addresses?

3. Are you afraid that if you withdraw them, government can trace you through that means?

4. Did you lose the private keys or you were unable to backup all your folders then and as such lost your keys?

5. Are you seeing that bitcoin can make $1m in the future and decided to hold tight till then?

6. Wait! Are you still alive? Or you died of earthquake in the North?

7. Are you a man or a woman or a group of people?

8. Do you have any regrets in creating bitcoin. I asked because a scripture said that God regrettable creating man.

9. How about if you sell your coin for charity rather than allow it waste.

10. Is the way bitcoin going now, the way you planned it to be? Have the bitcoiners altered your initial plans and arrangements for bitcoin?

11. Do you something feel like to appear in the court one day and 100%  prove Craig Wright wrong?

12. You don't want to withdraw your bitcoin because if you do, there will be great panic that may collapse bitcoin.

13. OK! Your coins is serving as bitcoin reserve to prevent 51% attack?(No, this is not it...51% attack is about computing power and not about coins)

14. Why did you choose 21 million as the maximum amount of bitcoin to be in circulation? Why not 20 million that is a round figure and why not 50 million. Bitcoin would still be a scarce commodity if you made it 100 million.

15. Why is halving 4 years circle and not 2 years. Is it related to the world cup 4 years interval?

16. If FBI decides to uncover your identity, do you think it will be difficult for them?

17. Bitcoin is more than 10yrs you created it. How many more years do you have in mind that bitcoin will last when you created it. I do not believe that you had in mind of creating an everlasting currency when you are not a government.

18. When do you intend to re-appear as Satoshi Nakamoto?

19. Do you still contribute to the bitcoin network by maintaining the codes or you totally hands off bitcoin and started playing ruby in the streets of Alabama?

20. Do you have kids  did you teach them about bitcoin, are they into bitcoin now?

I am sorry if I have bothered you with so many questions because only you have better answer to most of this questions.

P.S Community, did Satoshi grant any interview before his disappearance. If yes, someone should please point me to it.
@Satoshi
@all

This is the official answer to your 20 questions.  Are you a journalist ?  or a government's agent ?  Please do not play Bitcoin Chess with me or my twin brother.

1. Why did you create a technology as big as blockchain and bitcoin and gave it out for free?

Answer: I don't have to answer but as you are curious so I can reply in different ways, well, my GrandFather forgot to create the Bitcoin Blockchain, so I did; It is not free, but there is an incentive.

2. Why have you not withdrawn your coins including the genesis block and other btc in 20+ addresses?

Answer: I cannot disclose it right now, why I have not touched those BTC to an individual, but to satisfy your curiosity, I can say something, I cannot tell you it at this point.

3. Are you afraid that if you withdraw them, government can trace you through that means?

Answer: No, Not at all.  Government knows me very well.

4. Did you lose the private keys or you were unable to backup all your folders then and as such lost your keys?

Answer: This is a serious question. No comment.

5. Are you seeing that bitcoin can make $1m in the future and decided to hold tight till then?

Answer: Bitcoin might go to $1 million in the next 5 years, I cannot disclose any further.

6. Wait! Are you still alive? Or you died from an earthquake in the North?

Answer: You are speaking like a senseless person in question no. 6. Can a dead man answer to your question ?  D I live in the North ?  I live in the Bitcoin Island in the West.   If there comes a Earth Quake and the Island gets drowned in the Atlantic Ocean, I have no problem, I can swim and go back home.

7. Are you a man or a woman or a group of people?

Answer: Read my P2P Foundation Profile. http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/profile/SatoshiNakamoto

8. Do you have any regrets in creating bitcoin. I asked because a scripture said that God regrettable creating
man.

Answer: I have answered your question in many places, search and you will find it.  Who told you God created man ?  If God has created man and the man became wicked and evil then God has the right to destroy all humans and recreate new God Like man.

9. How about if you sell your coin for charity rather than allow it waste.

Answer: All those 1.1 Million Bitcoins belong to my charity.

10. Is the way bitcoin going now, the way you planned it to be? Have the bitcoiners altered your initial plans and arrangements for bitcoin?

Answer: Well, it was going in the right way, but something has gone wrong. Those who run and manage the Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry are by nature the product of capitalism and they are doing the same as those fiat financial elites.

11. Do you something feel like to appear in the court one day and 100%  prove Craig Wright wrong?

Answer: Which Court ?  Do I need to prove that Craig Wright is wrong ?  Any one can claim to be 'Satoshi Nakamoto' Extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence and authentic proof, but they must prove their claim with cryptographic evidence and other proofs in relation to Bitcoin Blockchain and Genesis Block.

12. You don't want to withdraw your bitcoin because if you do, there will be great panic that may collapse bitcoin.

Answer: That is not your comments, few other people think like that, but the truth is there are more than 16 million BTC owned by a few Bitcoin Sharks, if they put their Bitcoin then the Bitcoin price might fall to $1 dollar.

13. OK! Your coins is serving as bitcoin reserve to prevent 51% attack?(No, this is not it...51% attack is about computing power and not about coins)

Answer: Question no. 13 is not a question, 51% attack is meaningless, 86% hash rate is controlled by few mining sharks.

14. Why did you choose 21 million as the maximum amount of bitcoin to be in circulation? Why not 20 million that is a round figure and why not 50 million. Bitcoin would still be a scarce commodity if you made it 100 million.

Answer: Computationally it was possible to format 21,000,000 BTC in one single ledger, I had other plans. WEll 21 Million is divisible to 100,000,000 this could make it easy for macro economists to understand the architect and the nature of Bitcoin limitation. 21 million units has an algorithmic equilibrium logic that 50 Million or 100 Million do not have. It is calculated according to a complex mathematical equation.

15. Why is halving 4 years circle and not 2 years. Is it related to the world cup 4 years interval?

Answer: Well, that was an idea and it was implemented to end a fixed date in the future.

16. If FBI decides to uncover your identity, do you think it will be difficult for them?

Answer: My identity is probably known by them.  Am I an American ?  Am I a tax evader ?  I think they have tried and successfully found my identity as I did not hide my identity in the first place. When I realized, I must hide my identity and publish the papers in a pseudonym, it was too late.  I am actually visible but unseen by the journalists only.  Government officials and central banking elites know my identity and they are doing their best to keep me silent.

17. Bitcoin is more than 10yrs you created it.  How many more years do you have in mind that bitcoin will last when you created it.  I do not believe that you had in mind of creating an everlasting currency when you are not a government.

Answer: Governments around the world do not create currencies.  It is when central banks create fiat currencies. Central banks are private and syndicated enterprises;  they are owned by plutocratic elites.  Who form the governments to protect their wealth and power over the masses.  I knew what I was doing, it took me over 16 years to finally invent the Blockchain and Bitcoin.

18. When do you intend to re-appear as Satoshi Nakamoto?

Answer: I do not know. Do I have to r-eappear ?  Where do I need to re-appear ?  Is it in the BitcoinTalk Forum ?

19. Do you still contribute to the bitcoin network by maintaining the codes or you totally hands off bitcoin and started playing ruby in the streets of Alabama?

Answer: I have created and recruited many developers and AI.  They do the work that needs to be done.  I just want the Bitcoin sharks and the government's agents to leave me alone.  I do not play ruby in the street, and Alabama ?  I play Chess, Bitcoin Chess against my opponents. Bitcoin is a good game for game changing.

20. Do you have kids  did you teach them about bitcoin, are they into bitcoin now?

Answer: --- - -- --- -- - -----.  ---- ----- ---- -------.  ---- ---- ---- ----- ---.   ----- ---- ?

1. Why did you create a technology as big as blockchain and bitcoin and gave it out for free?
Technically speaking he did get paid, as he re-invented money.  Tongue

I'd be astonished to read news from him, let alone an entire interview. This guy is worthy of respect not only due to his extreme devotion, envisioning and success to a fundamental problem in economics, but for him being a badass Internet mystery. I mean think about it. Someone, in some unknown corner of the Internet, devoted time and energy to connect the dots and create easy to spread but hard to stifle, as he called, networking solutions for very existent problems, shared the source code for everyone to check, ensure to have loyal people in charge, and then disappear.

It is good though to read his opinions about the path bitcoin is on currently, maybe officially posted we could use some of his new ideas, it is sad though to post anonymously and no one recognizes you, since he has been around these woods for so long.

Could I add another question?

If Satoshi is still alive & I was able to speak to him, I wouldn’t ask him any questions. My questions would be too dumb & would be of no interest to him. I’d just embarrass myself so if I had a few minutes with him all I’d do is thank him for creating bitcoin & tell him how much of a genius he is.

There’s not much more to it, I’d just tell him how he’s the most successful innovator of the last 100 + years & how I am forever in his debt for changing my & so many others lives for the better.

I love your questions, but if I may ask do you intend seeing Satoshi to come here answer all question?
No!, This is not possible maybe he might answered with a separate identity without his main account and of course is very possible since this forum doesn't request for kyc, so he might come to monitor how the forum is functioning aside without people knowing his real identity.

20. Do you have kids  did you teach them about bitcoin, are they into bitcoin now?

Well to be frank with you, I don't think if Satoshi himself or herself will have that open heart to teach his or her children about bitcoin because, if he does that there is every possibility of those kids revealing his identity to say their father or mother is the Satoshi which they might come up with prove to show the government. So I believe that he might kept it secrets from his children in other to remain anonymous, imo.

15. Why is halving 4 years circle and not 2 years. Is it related to the world cup 4 years interval?
I don't know where you got the world cup idea, and I don't know why you don't connect it with the US election interval?, with I think, the Satoshi vision is even closer for that, not on sports.
I didn't think about the US elections. What entered my mind as something which happens every 4 years was the world cup. Relating it to US elections, does halving happen somewhere before US elections or after?

Even though Satoshi is presumably using a different account and is somehow present with us in the forum. Do you believe he would be willing to find the time to respond to each of the 20 questions you have posted here?

Yes, I believe he would have the time to respond to me. Of course he has finished bitcoin creation and he is not so much busy that he won't have time to respond to these questions. Unless he has another project he is developing.

They seem like excellent questions to ask Nakamoto but I'm sure he will never come back, he has already played his role and he knows that now many have understood what bitcoin is and why he wanted to develop it. So if you really understand it you don't need to ask.

Do you believe he would be willing to find the time to respond to each of the 20 questions you have posted here? He would also be willing to provide you with a thorough response to your questions along with an explanation of his story towards the creation of bitcoin, even if he does have all the answers for you? Do you expect to answer all these questions? That will be a big No. Before raising your eyes to look for the answers to your query, keep this in mind.

I believe that over time, as you become more comfortable with the forum, you will start to find the answers you're seeking for on why Satoshi made the decisions he did regarding the establishment of bitcoin.

That being said, Satoshi had good reasons for continuing to maintain his anonymity even after inventing bitcoin. The decision to continue using anonymity was the finest one he could have made for his life and the future of bitcoin.

I gathered every Satoshi Nakamoto thread.
The complete Satoshi from Satoshi Nakamoto Institute.

Real identity was leaked in early days (topic 3 of the forum) but it was deleted by Satoshi Nakamoto. This is information many people did not know.
1, 2, and 4 exist in the staff forum. 3 was permanently deleted at some point (it must have contained Satoshi's real name and address).
Thank you blackboss for these links.

While some people think that these questions are irrelevant but I am learning many things from this forum. Many information is avaliable in this forum. I don't want to approach bitcoin from the peripheral. I need to have some clue of what happened in the past. It will sharpen my future I believe.

The biggest question I’d like to ask satoshi if how he feels about the core developers pushing their own L2 solution instead of building a system of merged mined chains to handle all sorts of different uses and make sure that Bitcoin miners continue receiving rewards beyond the ending of the block reward distribution. I wonder how long it will take for everyone to realize this was the proper way to scale BTC that satoshi was working towards.

For me I don't care to answer all these questions, there are some questions already answered and others it's hard to guess what Satoshi's answer is.
But in my opinion, all this is not important. What is really important is that bitcoin really exists and has become a reality that no one can ignore even governments. Bitcoin continues and its community grows strongly, and this is all that really matters to us, because all other things are secondary and it is not important that you know it or not.

Even if we find all the answers to these 20 questions, what do we do next? Bitcoin already exists, and it is becoming useful, so our work is focused on helping each other grow bitcoin and seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Satoshi decided to remain anonymous, and bitcoin is for the present, we should care about the present.

My one question for you ops.

Who is going to answer all these questions when Satoshi is no longer around and has been inactive for a long, so at that I can say all 20 questions are baseless and unmerited since the person you direct them to is not here in the forum any more, and also have you ever stop to wonder who satoshi is and what condition he is in right now.

I think it is important to settle that part within your head before trying to get answers to those questions.

I'm not sure that why you are asking those questions? Don't you know that Satoshi is not active since 2010, and like others mentioned that if he might browse this forum and even participate but not with his original account. Since Satoshi is not active in this forum your questions are of no value.

Satoshi is anonymous and he won't reveal his identity for his own safely, he has created something for the good of humans and still people like you ask those childish questions. Some of your questions are so meaningless that no one is going to answer those questions.

I will answer only your first question: He created Blockchain and Bitcoin for those who wanted a way to trade their goods and money without any interference from a centralized entity or government.  He gave this technology free because his intentions were positive and due to his kindness we have this blockchain technology in our hands.

I must say that we are lucky to have someone like Satoshi who invented something very special and named it Bitcoin that made our lives easier. We should appreciate his efforts rather than asking questions that doesn't make proper sense. You can get answer to most of your questions by reading more about Bitcoin and Blockchain. I would recommend you to visit the links shared by @Baofeng, they will be helpful to you.

You have a clue, just go browse his white paper, you can probably see a hint on some of your questions.

Or go to his post, read and most likely you will find some answers too.

We will never know the real identify of Satoshi though, there are a lot who pretend Satoshi, but we all know that he has disappeared and never gonna surfaced.

It's been more than a decade since he last login, so I doubt that he will suddenly appear here:

And he decided to remain hidden from public, and left no traces to his/her/they true identify. So we have to respect that.

How many questions would you like to ask and who will give you a more accurate answer? He (Satoshi) has created the investment concept of a much better generation to avoid the chaos of the Fiat currency system and Bitcoin is friendlier to trust as a long-term investment. If the concept of decentralization has brought you this far then your 20 questions will lead to one conclusion, namely "Decentralization".

P.S Community, did Satoshi grant any interview before his disappearance. If yes, someone should please point me to it.
I think he is not a typical person who likes to show off, simplicity, long -term and anonymous security is the strength possessed by Satoshi. His intelligence exceeds the chatGPT in my opinion Grin, because he successfully kept his identity a secret so far.

Care to share the investment concept he created?  As far as I know, he intends to create a decentralized currency that does not need intermediaries and other financial institutions' approval to do transactions.  And as a result Bitcoin under the blockchain technology is created.  Can you refer to me the part on the white paper that states this investment concept?

I would love to see Satoshi Nakamoto answer these questions but sadly we won't be seeing his answers.

1. Why did you create a technology as big as blockchain and bitcoin and gave it out for free

Satoshi did not create the technology out of a selfish interest; he created the technology and Bitcoin for everyone in the world to use, and despite his absence, the purpose for which he created the coin is still a success.

6. Wait! Are you still alive? Or you died of earthquake in the North?

If he's dead, who do you then expect to come and answer this question? But perhaps even if Satoshi is here with us, he would not respond.

7. Are you a man or a woman or a group of people?

LOL, these questions is dumb. What will you do with such information? 😂

8. Do you have any regrets in creating bitcoin. I asked because a scripture said that God regrettable creating man.

Satoshi is not God, and as long as Satoshi's vision for creating Bitcoin is fulfilled, he will not have any regrets.

15. Why is halving 4 years circle and not 2 years. Is it related to the world cup 4 years interval?

That's because halving is supposed to occur when 210,000 blocks have been mined, and these are completed approximately every 4 years.

18. When do you intend to re-appear as Satoshi Nakamoto?

He will not, because he doesn't have any need to do so and his technology is still efficient.

20. Do you have kids  did you teach them about bitcoin, are they into bitcoin now?

OP, Satoshi did not pass any interview that I am aware of, and really, you don't expect Satoshi to come and answer all these questions. But because Satoshi is a human, he could have children that we are unaware of.

@OP why not scan and read Satoshi's post history and seek the answer yourself?  Although you may not get a direct answer, it will be an educational browsing for sure and you may probably get a hint to his ideals and possibly may conclude some answer to your questions.  No one here has the right to answer that since it is directed to Satoshi who is MIA since December 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM

Just as Z-tight have said he might be here with a different name, just by observing and looking at how things are actually going around what he has created, if Satoshi is still alive, leaving this forum will never be an option. Some questions are better left unanswered because they might actually not have a satisfying answer. Even if Satoshi itself is here, answers to some questions will definitely not be given.

All you will just get is some random opinion and suggestion from members and they might never be as satisfying as you wanted.

I like your curiosity, but you won't be able to get answers to all of your questions here because the person you want to answer them is no longer on the forum. Why do you care about so many of these questions, some of which are unnecessary?

P.S Community, did Satoshi grant any interview before his disappearance. If yes, someone should please point me to it.

Satoshi is no longer with the community, in any event he is here with a different username than the 'satoshi' one, he is surely not going to come here and expose himself saying "hey i am Satoshi and here are the answers to your questions", your thread is just an opportunity for trolls and impostors to feed on. You can figure out some of the answers to your questions yourself, and the others are not important.
P.S Community, did Satoshi grant any interview before his disappearance. If yes, someone should please point me to it.
No interviews, no pictures, no nothing. Just the pseudonym Satoshi Tongue.
