is it correct m/44'/0'/1'?
Yes. I’m not sure if both

Code:
m/44'/0'/1'

and

Code:
m/44'/0'/1'/0'

are the same thing, but you could try the full one if the first one doesn’t work.

Sure, here is https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/17PdACKhZVuQtVSV4Zs8c4GDRgLJeGY56b

Quote
Did you create the wallet and got those 0.5 BTC yourself?

Yes.

Quote
Are those 2 separated wallets (different wallet ids and passwords) or the one with 0.5 BTC is like an additional/extra wallet that you created on the same blockchain.com account as the first?

It is additional wallet at the same account.

Quote
But in the step 6 (derivation path), select “legacy” in the top and change the second 0 (from right to left) to an 1.

is it correct m/44'/0'/1'?

I checked address on which I received btc last time and I see that it shows balance 0.5 btc. So the money is still there. The question is how to restore it. Any suggestions?
Would you mind posting the BTC address here? Does it start with a 1 or 3? Did you create the wallet and got those 0.5 BTC yourself?

Are those 2 separated wallets (different wallet ids and passwords) or the one with 0.5 BTC is like an additional/extra wallet that you created on the same blockchain.com account as the first?

Try doing the same as the user above did, described in this link: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/65284

But in the step 6 (derivation path), select “legacy” in the top and change the second 0 in the textbox (from right to left) to an 1.

Hi! I have absolutely the same problem, except that I chose legacy at Electrum but balance still $0 Sad

P.S.
I have two wallets on blockchain.com - and information about my first (inactive) wallet are present. I see transactions history and balance $1.
All problem with second wallet that I use and receiving money on it. There is no transactions and $0 balance on it. Looks like backup phrase works only for first (inactive) wallet. Because when I restored it in Electrum it's also shows me 1 Feb. 2020 last transaction and $1 and no any info about my second wallet.

I checked address on which I received btc last time and I see that it shows balance 0.5 btc. So the money is still there. The question is how to restore it. Any suggestions?

i just did that now and i downloaded Elctrum and restore my blockchain wallet to electrum.
i used my  12 word recovery phrase. it still shows me 0.00BTC

Perhaps you selected wrong script type.
Since blockchain wallet doesn't support segwit, your addresses are legacy. So, you must select legacy as script type. Otherwise, you will import wrong addresses.

The screenshot was taken from Electrum wallet.

WOW WOW WOW THANKS A MILLION AT LAST. yes did it all over again and selected the Legacy as script type.
it worked. Thanks to all those who took their time to see into my problem. I really can't thank you guys enough.

Thanks Thanks. i got all my funds

This may be the case.

It may also be the p2sh-segwit (the second option), as blockchain.com supports this address type. Try both.

But most important is to look for the balance in a block explorer, imo. Unless you can find a balance in a block explorer, there is no reason to waste your time creating new wallets.

i used my  12 word recovery phrase. it still shows me 0.00BTC

This means that you either:
  • Imported private key(s) (is that still a thing in blockchain.com?, you used to be able to do this in the past)
  • Have a wrong seed/wrong wallet
  • Messed up the how-to when creating the electrum wallet
  • Have downloaded a fake electrum version, or are unable to connect to electrum nodes

Those are the only things i can think off that would cause this behaviour, other than having a completely infected pc.

Based on my gut feeling, if i was a betting man, i'd put my money on having opened the wrong wallet, resulting in the wrong seed, resulting in 0 balances everywhere you look... It's not impossible the problem is something else tough

Yes thanks i just did and i see the  the transaction he sent. so which good suggestion will you advice me do?
wait for support to reply or any other valuable suggestion to get it fixed will be much appreciated.

The balance is showing correctly, right? If so:

- Download and install Electrum
- And follow these instructions using the backup phrase you've got.

Yes like i said earlier it shows no Transaction history.

Don't panic, your coins are probably safe.

Just go to blockchain.com/btc/address/***** and put your public address in ******

It will show all your transaction history. There is no risk in doing this procedure.

If you see a balance there, don't worry. Your coins are safe

you can try and restore your wallet (in Electrum) using the 12 back-up you have.
This is a good option. Once you recover your coins in electrum, move your coins to another wallet (create a new wallet in electrum with other Seed phrase and move away from blcockchain.com (it is not a safe wallet for high amounts).

Blockchain.com is very convenient, and I believe there is no problem using it for small amounts like 50 usd or less. But above this value, you should really be using a desktop/mobile wallet or a hardware wallet (such as ledger or trezor)

My bad actually, I misunderstood.

You can either do like nc50lc suggested or lookup for the address your friend sent the funds to here (just paste it there): https://www.blockchain.com/explorer?view=btc_blocks

If the funds are showing there, then you can proceed with ETFBitcoin's suggestion or mine.

Are you 100% sure you've opened the correct wallet (do you have multiple wallets on blockchain.com)? Are you 100% sure you're not on a phishing site (like suggested before)?
No history probably means you weren't hacked (also said before this post), altough you still might have handed your login info to a phishing site. I'd say it's either a blockchain.com bug, a wrong wallet, a phishing site or some kind of malware...

I know it's a bit to late now, but you shouldn't hold large amounts of crypto on a web wallet... Spend a couple of bucks and buy a ledger or trezor, keep the seed safe and you know your funds will be safe aswell.

As for the wallet yes i am on the right wallet.  There is  not a singl BTC on my wallet

Yes like i said earlier it shows no Transaction history. I even had my friend send me about 3$ worth of coins to see if it will get updated but its been more than 4 hours now and it still shows 0.00BTC with no transaction History.

-snip- also it show no transactions history meanwhile i have been trading for about 3 years now.
This is kinda positive sign; if there's no transaction history, then the 0 balance must be because your wallet isn't updated in their server.
That's a very common problem with blockchain.com, unless you have logged-in to a phishing/fake site.

Have you also checked the drop-down menu beside the "BTC balance"? You can select your Bitcoin wallets there individually.
If you only have one wallet, then it must be the first issue that I've mentioned.

Contact their support or wait it out (it will be faster if you contact them).
If you need to ease your fear, check the balance of your known address from "Settings->Wallets and Addresses->(wallet name)Manage",
click each of them and you'll be redirected to their blockexplorer.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I have checked but it still shows 0.00BTC
also there is no transaction history at all.  i am almost shitting on my pants right now cuz i got a lot of money in there.
i have messaged support but i guest it will take some time for them to respone

If nothing is being displayed (like nothing at all), then it might be a visual bug and you can try and restore your wallet (in Electrum) using the 12 words phrase you have.

Checking your Bitcoin with mobile or web version of blockchain.com also works if you don't bother restoring your wallet on another wallet (such as Electrum).

Have you checked your transactions history? If you can see that funds were sent somewhere then sadly, your coins are lost. It's not unusual for people to get hacked, even with an enabled 2FA. Someone might have accessed your phone/email.
