Some people need these lessons because people tend to believe crooks more than think logically. Whenever someone promises you a big profit, you have to think: Why would someone who offers extra money do that? Where in the world does one get extra money just to give it away?
If such questions oneself do not create doubts, then a person will receive many lessons from scammers. One lesson is enough for someone, and he gains experience, while someone, because of his greed, constantly falls into the networks of scammers.

2019 was more of an awareness era when many people came to understand the get x100, x200 and so on are all scam attempts, it is a shame you still fell for such cheap lies despite the level of awareness.

That was the time that many people thought that bitcoin could make them rich in just a short amount of time. With how generous bitcoin faucets give  during those times and scammers showing-off their fake earnings allegedly from trading bitcoin and other crypto, it made them think that those ponzi schemes that promise a huge return is legit. Trading platforms is not that popular that time so if a scammer is claiming to be a pro-trader and tells his investor that is the source of his funds, they fall easily because they think it's just a simple buy and sell.

this is what people should learn on the internet, there is no quick way to get rich, everything needs a process even big investors put funds it takes time to get big profits, so like I said nothing is instant in this world, everything needs a process, I hope you take a lesson from your experience, your writing will help new people to avoid doing business on the internet like this whether it's using crypto payments or something else.

What you mean about the support you mentioned above? Are you begging for merit or money? well this forum has a rule to not begging.

Well most people are got scammed when they're start to invest Bitcoin, they're think it's a rich quick method since the high of volatility and many articles that keep hyping Bitcoin. So it's not surprised if there's many scammers in Bitcoin space because not all people already know how Bitcoin work.

I have a nearly similar introduction except I very narrowly avoided getting scammed. Like you I also arrived here in 2019. The only thing that saved me was that I already had a good background on crypto scams (likewise I very nearly fell for some "bitcoin generators" which are now defunct), so I was able to tell Ponzi scheme from legit.

Those so-called btc doubling sites were very rampant back in 2019 and later, am sure many people got scammed because of a lack of understanding. Several Ponzi platforms back then I even got cut up in a few but i was lucky i didn't put too much to will cause huge damage to me.
It is terrible what these scammers are doing to people, they lack any empathy and don't care what will be the outcome for their victims. @op keep your focus and always do your own research and ask questions on the right platform.

Hi I am MUJEEB RAHMAN , iam from inida , today i am telling the story about how i know about crypto and blockchain. In 2019, i am heard about bitcoin , at that time i am crazed about that. So i googled about bitcoin ,but google says me the founder of the bitcoin is an anonymous person or group. It is more impressed me because it is a brilliant technology and my first bitcoin purchase was in 2019. But unfortunately i loose all that bitcoin , because a scammer messaged me and he told me a ponzy scheme, if i invest 100 dollars i will get 300 dollars within 3 days through bitcoin trading, that was his offer. That time the bitcoin price was 8000 dollars.

That's... not really a Bitcoin journey, it's just a regular "How I fell for a scam" story, and you just happened to use Bitcoin to enable the scam. I was around when the choice method was e-gold, predating Bitcoin for many years. Was even around in the late 1990s when PayPal was still easy to use to scam as well.
You are very correct because even though you don't use Bitcoin or crypto at that moment scammers can scam somebody through any means even your bank notes, Ponzi scheme started with bank transfers such as mmm which scammed millions of people in my country it all started through bank transactions before it later transformed into cryptocurrency. Then some of us with investment knowledge did not believe their story because with just close attention one can easily detect the scam in the whole thing. So ops have mix-ups some content of this discussion, maybe because he is not of English-speaking origin but then Cryptocurrency is unconnected to ops experience and he may need to edit the post with the right content for better discussion.

It is possible you were naive to the various malicious ways of scammers making frantic efforts to carry out their evil acts. Experience is always the best way to learn.

The good part of it all is not giving up because of one bad experience, you should always try and avoid anything that seems too good to be true especially in this space. Nobody will double $100 to $300 for you within a few minutes without any sweat.
You should try and learn how to identify scams and stay far away from anything they offer, it is always bad news.

I guess majority here have been scammed at some point in time in their bitcoin journey. I myself fall in a "bitcoin doubler" scheme which is prevalent in 2017. Just the same promises, you will double your bitcoin in 7 days or less and then I re-invest it again, everything including my capital.

Moving forward, I took that as a lessons learned, although it is not that expensive, but still a good experience and I'm glad that I have gone through that sooner than later. So my advise to do the OP is just forget about it and don't trust anyone in cryptosphere.

Take your loss as a tuition fee for the lesson you have learned.

The next time you come across a similar offer, you will be wise enough to realize that if it seems too good to be true, you are probably being duped by someone who is more smarter than you. And this applies to all types of investments that involve money, not only bitcoin.

You might also want to read these guides for you to be aware of other scams happening in the space.

I was hoping this is not going to be the narrative but I guess I was wrong. I understand that up till now, people can still easily be scammed with those kinds of offers, pay such and such amount and you will get double or triple the amount. It is obvious that most of us still want to get rich quickly in the trade and in that process will continue to be a victim of these scammers. Maybe we should be less greedy and actually invest for the true sake of it and also do our due diligence too.

Hi I am xxx , iam from inida...

In so many years since you first heard about Bitcoin, you should have learned something by now, but considering that you published your name and where you are from (I assume India?) it seems that you still have a lot to learn.

Privacy is very important when it comes to Bitcoin, and in addition to scammers who conduct their activities online, there are also those who make home visits and nicely ask you to hand over your seed or private key, and if you refuse, you play together the game "this finger goes to school, this one goes to the store...", and after 20 locations (and much earlier) you will tell them everything they are interested in.

If you were scammed, then you learned something from it, but every new day is an opportunity to learn something new and try to stay one step ahead of scammers.

It doesn't matter if you are new or old to cryptocurrency. Everything in cryptocurrency can be learned with patience, honesty and hard work. You say, when you were new, someone told you that investing $100 would earn $300. And then you recklessly invested there and then you lost dollars. This shows that you were greedy.Since you don't know much about crypto currency, you should have researched it first and learned about crypto from others. If you don't get knowledge about crypto currency then you will be scammed in different places. I am very sorry for the loss of your dollars. But I hope that you will never invest anywhere without learning about crypto.

I think most of us here experience something like that, in short, we all have that kind of experience where we got scammed in any ways. But it is a blessing in disguise, because you'll grow, you'll be more cautious before proceeding to a certain transaction with someone else, also you'll learn how to verify if that certain individual is really legitimate person or not to avoid being scam.

I won't blame you OP since you're just starting when that happened, and a newbie always wanted to make more income instantly, therefore they are the number 1 victim of scammers.

Why do you believe in an unknown person who offers a weird promise like this? It is clearly scam, it is impossible that someone gives you free money $200 only in 3 days. You should think realistically, it is a too easy way to earn money. And you must suspect him because you even don't know him at all. Why did he directly send you a message?  Huh Next time, never believe an unknown person. Even if you know him, you don't give any of your coins if he doesn't guarantee anything. You are better to learn trading yourself and earn money in your own way.

Anyway, how many Bitcoin you lost at that moment?
You didn't explain it above.

Thank you for sharing your experience and that's not new because there were many the same experiences that have been told. Scamming in all means, crypto or not is truly dirty.

Sorry with your loss though and that's a lesson that you will never ever be a victim again by these scammers. It had taught you to have that clear mind and never engage into those quick returns scam.

I prefer to change the title to " How I got scammed " than my bitcoin journey because the story tells about how you got scammed.
If you can think before investing in the program, you can see that no investment in any field can yield huge profits in a short time so you will know right away that it is a scam in the end.
The scammers use their best offers for novice investors who don't have enough knowledge about bitcoin so they will be interested and send the bitcoins.
This is a valuable lesson so you don't get scammed again.
Never be attracted by offers that look too good to be real.

You didnt curious why would he said you could gain 300 from 100 in three days? From that point, its kinda hinting the guy was a scammer cause that is a short time to earn that provided that he will not do it on a known process such as trading. Also why would you trust someone to give your bitcoin its wrong move. I hope you already learn the hard lesson. Reflect and focus more on knowledge cause it can be your skills to earn in a right way. Avoid talking to strangers cause majority of someone just pm you is after your money.
The scammer probably established trust and we know how most people are when someone they trust is promising them something, pretty sure that they're going to be ignoring the flags because they want to see the good in people. Maybe OP hasn't heard of the saying that if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Hmmm. Sharing how you got scammed is not encouraging at all. Do you have a lot of scam ch you are planning to make this thread a series of story? And what kind of support you want to get from your reader besides the criticism and questioning about your experience?

I read many story like this since I start investing on Bitcoin last 2015 and way back then was there’s a lot of ponzi and doubler available on the internet which is understandable for newbie to get scammed but in your case was different because you voluntarily gave your money to someone that took away it. Take note you got scammed during 2019 which Bitcoin is already mainstream.

That time i was a newbie brother.
It doesn’t matter whether you were a newbie or from old school. There's a saying, "If something is too good to be true, there must be something wrong". $300 return for $100 in 3 days exactly sounds like this.
Also, you could have been scammer with fiat money, or different e-money. That's the same thing. It's nothing to do with bitcoin. There's no certain coin/currency for scammers.
Have a good journey with Bitcoin.

I believe the OP meant How I Got Scammed as opposed to How I Scammed.  Anyway, it sucks losing that money and hopefully you learned your lesson and this won't be a repeatable event.

Hi, better if you use an online translator because your English is crap. Apart from google translator you can use deepl.com. It's just that in the title for example you have put the opposite of what you mean. And the text is pretty crappy as well.

About what you say, your story is not exceptional unfortunately. I don't get caught in a scam offering me 300% profitability in 3 days. Simply with those numbers I know it's a scam, no matter if it's in Bitcoin in a startup or a fancy shitcoin.

What happens is that there are many people who have no experience in these scams, nor do you know about profitability, and you are blinded by the possibility of making quick money.

Sorry for your loss. I hope it helps you to learn.

MY FIRST BITCOIN EXPERIENCE

I send all my bitcoin to him, and the result is " I LOST ALL MY BITCOIN". That was my first bitcoin experience in the crypto world. But i did not stop, i continue my research in the crypto and blockchain. And finally i understand that many people using crypto for bad things. It must be stop them to use crypto for bad things. "CRYPTO SCAM IS A DIRTY BUSINESS".

And also there are a lots of newbies coming in to blockchain and crypto sectors , and out of many newbies scammed by scammers, who giving them big offers like 10x and 100x returns for their investment. and finally they stealing their money and vanishing in to air.
