It's really hard to prove whether you story is real or not but I don't think you can't do anything more that feedback will not be removed in your account since it is a feedback on whatever happened from the accounts before whether it's your fault or your friends fault but retrieving your reputation might not be easy, needs a lot of efforts.

I handed my bitcointalk account to my friend few years ago and he started doing paid shit posting. Now I asked him to provide me the account login and when I checked that its simple got down voted.
Yes (theymos) account is mine.  I let my friend use that account.  Now that he is the admin of the forum he is not returning the account to me  Grin (I made a drama like yours  Cheesy)

Is there anyway to fix my account reputation?
first of all There is no clear evidence that the account was used by your friend. And even if it did, it's entirely up to you and It's your fault. Because it is your responsibility to protect your account. So you have to take your account responsibility. I don't think the reputation of your account will be back again. Because I guess you're trying to save your account. so you making  a drama.

Well, then you made a big mistake, (but this is if, like other members have said, you are not the friend you referring to).
I can decide to misuse my account and come back tomorrow to tell people that a friend I lended my account to misused it, please forgive me and remove the negative trust people... It doesn't work that way bro, if it does, then there will be alot of scammers in this forum.

Imagine a friend pushed you to go killing some one, and after killing the person, God calls you out for killing, and you say it's a friend who pushed you to do it, does that stop God from punishing you...No.

In the Bible, Eve convinced Adam to eat the forbidden fruit, and when God asked adam, "why did you eat it?" Adam answered, "the woman you (God) gave me made me eat" and God said "because you listened to your wife, the ground is cursed for your sake"

This is why privacy is highly valued, be careful who you share your private stuff with, cus when you hand over your private stuff to a person, you automatically give that person access to you.. Whatever they do with that which you gave them comes back to hurt you.

Great story. There is no any way to prove either your account was sold, hacked, or changed ownership. Changing IP, email and password doesn't mean the account changed ownership. Even the admin couldn't prove it. Admin only can provide evidence-based on your IP address. So you are just wasting your time here. All abusers would say the same thing after getting the red tag. It doesn't mean all they are true.

Even we don't either promote or run all fake teams project yourself. Now you are just trying to turn your account fresh by blaming your friends. Nice try, but only they could remove feedbacks those have left. But I don't think they will remove based on this post.

The negative trust on his account can't be removed just by saying that the account is misused by his friends. That's a lame excuse but even if show how this miracle happen, the account will still be tagged as it changes hands.

I would like to suggest OP that instead of complaining here, go ask your friend why he misuse your account. Claim damages from your friend.
Either way even if OP's friend come here, it won't help the fact that s/he gave his/er account to someone else. Signing a message with the staked address like khaled0111 said is the only way to prove the account's ownership, but from the looks of it, the -ive has slim chance of being removed now that there is even a flag created.

Did you hand him your Skype account too?!
Hah, nice catch!

To me this sounds like just another bullshit story we heared countless time before. But even (for the sake of argument) say that what you are saying is right, how can anyone believe you as you are ready tu give your account to other people? Just that fact alone makes you untrustworthy.

I see you have edited your last posts, but when exactly did you gave your account to your friend? I think that in 2017 it was still your, as you have participated in bounties with 1CoLd1dwf9TMiieTUYAep4u8FYHEer3QM4 wallet.
If you are the real owner of that account, can you sign a message from that address? Or prove that you have control of it? Because your account might look like a bought account and you try to clear your trust with this topic.

It's not your account any more. It's your (you and your friend's) account now, so you both share the experience together.

At the first place why did you hand over your account to a friend whom you know doesn't qualify to handle such account or possibly doesn't know the value of your account.
You handed over your account to whom know little knowledge about the forum rules and regulations, so to me you did wrong by initiating such activity so asking to have good reputation is like trying cleanse all the mal-activity or shit post that resulted to loosing your quality.

This is the exact reason why account trading is not supported by the community. Though you said you didn’t sell but helped your friend, this is also as same as selling your account.
Neg tags are on the account coldice, not on any person. So, no one will be agreed to remove the tag and they should not be.
What’s wrong with your skype? Did you lend it too as khaled0111 pointed?

Even if you prove that you are the original owner of this account, probably here is no chance to do anything with your trust feedbacks. you will certainly find it very difficult to prove that someone else used your account.
therefore, that you gave someone an account to use is enough that you don’t expect much empathy for your situation.

btw. I did not check your post history, but the negative tag on your account is not because of trash posts or spam, but for the promotion of fraudulent schemes. if by any chance your negative tags are removed, how will we know that you will not repeat a similar "mistake" again?

Sounds odd!

This might not make make much difference, but can you sign a message with a staked address from before 2017 at least to confirm you are the real owner of this account?

The fact that you gave your account or not, we cannot verify this now. Your excuses are popular enough and are no longer interesting.
This is pretty much the long and short of this situation--OP is coming back here claiming his "friend" is responsible for a campaign of shitposts and doesn't want to be held accountable for what he (or that friend) did with his account.

OP, you've been a member here long enough to know that you're not going to garner any sympathy or support.  The only thing you're going to get are posts like mine, lovesmayfamilis's, and all the others telling you that you're stuck with the consequences of whatever you did.  If you really did lend your account to a friend, that was a stupid thing to do, but that was your choice and those negative trusts are yours.

Only way for you out of this would be just like what others mentioned above. Contribute and see where it goes. It is not gonna be a fast solution for sure.
That's unlikely to happen, but who knows.  I agree that getting those negs removed isn't going to come quickly.

I handed my account in 2017 and by then I used to have good reputation here. Then he started paid posting of some crypto based scams and something similar to that. Although I have edited those posts but still the other users opinion will still be there.

Just by saying that the "account changed hands" in that year would just make your case even difficult. Surprised that there isn't tag yet to you that "the account changed hands", as it is obvious that it isn't you that was using the account to post that whatever scam post that was.
Who knows if the one even posting this is you or your "friend"?

Sounds like bullshit to me, there is no way of verifying your version of events so unfortunately for you, nobody is going to remove the negative trust they’ve given you.

Maybe if you post constructively & are a good honest member for a couple of years you could ask people who left you red trust to change it to neutral. I’ll be very surprised if anybody believes your excuses about some friend & removes neg trust now.

When you give something, you are fully responsible. Having given your car for temporary use, you will also be responsible for all events that occurred during this period.
Therefore, stop making excuses, but rather think about your entourage, whom you trust.
Also read the unsolicited private messaging rule.

If it were just paid shit posting as you describe then I don't think it would be that big of an issue.  It appears (at a quick glance so maybe I'm wrong) that your friend was promoting an outright scam knowingly.  That's the sort of thing that just doesn't go away with a thread and a good story.  I'd say if you handed away your account years ago, that's an equally bad offense and likely won't get you much sympathy around here.  You're probably risking more negative feedback to be totally honest.  All you can really do is roll with the punches and try to rebuild a reputation.

Each person/user should be responsible for his/her account. If you were so worried about possible misuses of your account, your friend simply could create a new account and start fresh. The fact that you "handed" over your the account to your friend is highly suspicious to me as well (who knows if you didn't sell your account to him?).
Anyways, if you lacked responsibility to handle your account, you can't just ask the forum to "forgive" for your lack of care, it just doesn't make sense. That should be your top priority even before thinking in lending your credentials...

The chances are slim to none. A good status and reputation are very hard to earn and very easy to lose. Now you know that.
And it's not even something this account didn't do, or got tagged by mistake. I doubt that you'll get any of those negative tags removed.

It doesn't matter much if it was you or anybody else behind that account. And it was not even a hack, it was your friend and you gave him your account details yourself!
Just imagine if each and every scammer would come after some time telling that it was not him doing this or that...

Although, Bitcointalk member's account is not a certificate, but it is like you handed over your certificate to a friend which is very wrong. Everything that happened will be deemed as you that did it so far it is your account. Only what you can do is to build your reputation, maybe luckily those that tagged your account will remove it. And how can we even be sure that you are not your friend, but only deploying means for your negative trust to be removed.
