You should never use an outdated version.
Your version (2.8.3) is vulnerable to an RPC exploit [1] (which under some circumstances can lead to a loss of your funds if your wallet is not password protected).

You need to make sure your system is up-to date to keep your system/funds secured.
Always update your OS, AV, java, flash, ... If you don't you run the risk of losing funds in the long term (the odds are against you).

Updating to the new version worked.  I can see my bitcoin now.  The new platform is nice too.  Thanks.

there was a bug in the old Electrum version that you are using. this bug causes some issues when trying to parse certain transactions that are using SegWit. this problem was fixed a couple of months ago in release version 3.0.6
the way to fix this is to update to the latest version which is currently 3.1.3

Here your image, you can't post short link such as goo gl because it will removed Image Click Here

Looks like your electrum is out of date (your version in the picture is 2.8.3), try update your electrum to newest one and see if the problem is solved.

I sent 0.1 bitcoin from my Coinbase wallet to my electrum wallet about 4 days ago but I don't see it. Coinbase shows the transaction was successfully completed but Electrum just shows an "unknown" transaction and that is "synchronizing". Clicking the refresh button to connect to the network doesn't work.  I need some help. What is the problem? What can I do and why?  A screenshot of my electrum wallet is attached.
