That's quite the experience a lot of persons are skeptical about anything online transactions especially older persons, this means that education can do a lot of opening up people to a whole new world that they woudl not have accepted on their own, most people that are afraid or skeptical about bitcoin still don't know what it is and if anyone would be kind enough to explain what it is to them they might want to give it a try.

I can remember when my mom woudl never accept transfer for any reason but after I had told her that she can use opay bank or palmpay for seemless transaction and she doesn't have to worry about going to the bank or someone deceiving her with fake alert cause they transaction speed fast fair and transparent, she decided to use it and still does till date.

I believe we should always work to educate those around us about bitcoin so they are ready to defend themselves even against scammers. Bitcoin is a payment instrument that will be used in agriculture and is not limited in any way.

Actually I don't know how you think this scenario would enhance education to do away from scammers, don't be too believe that bitcoin as a blockchain which transactions can be traceable with the public ledger is limited from scammers to shoot their targets, you also need to understand that bitcoin is a digital technology currency which demands higher classic of knowledges comparing to the fiat and the uneducated society we lives today is not conducive for such preaches as you may think.
So it would even be seen more difficult for higher number of individuals to defend themselves from transacting with bitcoin in the current societies of today.
If you as a dedicated strong hold of bitcoin enthusiast can defend yourself by it, believe it that there're certain traders and persons around you who're defenceless due to their lack of knowledge not just to bitcoin but of the digital and technological world.

Anyways, I applaud the woman accepted to have bitcoin payment, that'd as much encourage not just the big traders but also petty traders to adopt the system and so gradually bitcoin is sporadically spreading in the society.

Do you know that, along with crude oil, agricultural produce is currently one of the most in-demand products in my area? For instance, I paid #300 for a bushel of corn in Port Harcourt. Initially, I wanted to leave to see if the woman would call me back, but she refused, so I went back to buy ten bushels of corn from her, which works out to be about #300 x 10 = 3000. Jokingly, I said to her, "Madam, I will pay you on Bitcoin ooo," hoping she would be angry but was compelled to ask her how she learned about bitcoin after she replied, "I will give you my address if you want." She said that her son and daughter had taught her. Based on this, I believe we should always work to educate those around us about bitcoin so they are ready to defend themselves even against scammers. The thing is that cryptocurrencies is gaining more adoption, expecially in this out country. Like this notcoin of a thing that one will have to tap to mine back then as also help in promoting cryptocurrencies to some individuals. Like when I went to buy something I saw the woman tapping. Even those that sell soya they do tap still. Because they saw what be made from just tapping in notcoin, so this as help to prove that cryptocurrencies it ain't no joke.

I literally pity those that still have the mindset that cryptocurrencies is a total waste of time or scam . Because they are just using their hands to push away life changing opportunities. I've seen alot of people cryptocurrencies has changed Their lives. You might not be making more now but as time goes on you will see yah self growing tremendously, expecially this time around, where we are expecting bull run.

Yea, many people never believed that Bitcoin will see the light of the day but we won't blame them because airdrops are not sure until it is been launched so it is normal, the notcoin project that has been listed in many exchange after the developers launch it has helped in advertising cryptocurrency more, and many people now umdeetnad  that cryptocurrency is not a joke, at least there is a practical example which is the Bitcoin, people wnat to see before they can Believe, currently the publicity this coin has dont tnink that the government can do anything to stop people right now because mining has become a normal thing, everyone is now tapping their phone all the time to min different airdrop, cryptocurrency has come to stay here, Nigerians are very good in anything they do, as far as Nigerians are conversant with mining then Bitcoin and crypto in general will grow here to the extent that the government will have know option than to suport it soon.

Bitcoin is a electronic peer to peer cash system with an added feature of decentralization. Of course making payments via Bitcoin is nice however here in Nigeria I advice people to act neutral when it comes to crypto transactions this is because if you observe closely you would notice that the government is pretty much against crypto.
Bitcoin is a fine alternative to the world banking system but the fact is it's not a replacement. The world is moving fast in terms of technological advancement and hence we are trailing in the digital era therefore digital banking system will be implemented more and more over time but the likelihood of Bitcoin replacing fiat is near zero . If you come to think of it, Bitcoin is even value and priced in dollar which in turn is also a fiat currency.

I no de surprised say Bitcoin adoption de gradually increase for Nigeria, pass as e be before, because as hardship de increase everyday, people de find means to make money. Di wan wey OP talk about, maybe as di woman de collect di BTC she no go spend am, she go just de hodl am for bull run, so dat wen di matter set for peak of bull run, na sure banker say plenty ROI go enter for her wallet. Maybe after di bull run, wen Bitcoin go enter bear run, maybe sh no go get mind to collect Bitcoin again. Na only real hodlers go get di patience to de hodl for bear run, because dem know say na di best time to accumulate be dat. I look forward to wen every business person go get wallet addresses to de collect Bitcoin, like Bank account to collect naira, but e still far before we go reach dat level.

" She said that her son and daughter had taught her.

She must have been young mother and quite intelligent. She has an open mind and receptive to technology and that's why she allowed herself to be thought by the children. Not many mothers will allow themselves such learning process and this is actually a win for bitcoin because if older generation are already adopting it then the younger generation will have more numbers that will join the progress of bitcoin.

Yes there is no limit to having the knowledge of bitcoin, the woman who is a farmer has shown example that it is the mind that will allow you go through the process of learning. There are some youths that fear to invest in bitcoin because they feel it is scam.

That is very true, I guess she is a young mother and she is knowledgeable and understand technology, digital Mom I love to say. Because not every one especially the elderly ones understand or have a good knowledge about Bitcoin they will always be suspicious if you mention Bitcoin around them, it is just few parents that knows what Bitcoin is all about and these ones understand technology  so it is nothing new to them.

You want to put yourself for trouble right, do you think you are the only one that know BTC in Port Harcourt? There are many bitcoiners in Port Harcourt but you would not know that they are bitcoiners, and even though you caught them with BTC they will pretend they don't know BTC because you don't know your enemy in the country.

Since this new administration is looking for bitcoiners to use to solve their problems, you need to be very careful who you advertise BTC to in your environment, because they can use anybody to set you up to collect the small money you make from BTC.

You don't need to  educate or spread the information about BTC  to people to understand op, BTC has spread it self all over the world to educate people which 80% of people in the country know BTC, and even village people in Nigeria no BTC but they are afraid to put their money in BTC just because BTC has been banned from the country.

Yes, it's true that the use of Bitcoin has no limit, irrespective of the field one finds his/herself, and also good we educate people of age, so as to be familiar with the context "Bitcoin" whenever it been use in daily transaction. So that woman must be a lucky mum, to have had kids who introduced her to the current trend Bitcoin, the currency of the future.
But however, paying #3000 in Bitcoin, which is approximately $2, isn't that too small? Did you actually consider the fees? Or was the transaction made via exchange to exchange where no fees are been required? But inasmuch as that is possible, I know that most exchanges has a minimum internal transfer of $5 and not $2 just as you claimed. So how was yours possible if I may ask?
