Hey,

I have a query regarding the wallet address on My Ether Wallet.
When I registered, I was requested to download the papercopy (PDF) of my wallet address and key - which I did.
When I use the Meta Mask/Mist Chrome Extension to view my wallet address, it is different to the wallet address in the PDF hardcopy - Why is this?
Which one is supposed to the the valid address?
Thanks!

What you view in metamask and the papercopy from MyEtherWallet is different since both addresses generated have different private keys.

In order to use the wallet address you have in papercopy , copy the private key from that papercopy that you've downloaded from MyEtherWallet and import it in MetaMask/Mist. (Note: Don't provide the key to anyone as this will make your address compromised leading to access to funds if it's in that address).

Theory behind it: Every address has different private keys. So in order for you to have access to a particular wallet address, you will need a private key. A private key gives you an access to spend/receive funds from that address. In order to use it into other wallets just use the import function of that wallet and paste the private key.
