if your sempron 145 is having issues, try setting cgminer/sgminer to high priority.  it's a software issue, not a processor limitation.

yes i run a lot of rigs with a single core processor.  it doesn't matter if it's an intel or AMD.

and less is better.  it's not a 'trend', it's good business sense.  If i can save $5 on the processor, i can spend that on the GPU.

If you cannot get this and want to buy an extra core to fit into your voodoo, then feel free.  however it's not supported by anything that you can demonstrate.

single core systems work fine with 4 or 5 cards.

next.
My sempron 145? You're the one having issues. Where did I say I have a Sempron 145?

At this stage, I suspect you never used sgminer. Here is what happens CPU wise if intensity >20 gives the best performance:

Now, show us your sempron 145 running VNC/Teamviewer, cgwatcher and sgminer at maxed out hashrate/intensity/WU. Also show us your previous contribution in helping newbies at mining.

win 7 and 8, lots of different motherboards, the newest amd drivers, and yes. any more questions, Officer Dual Core?

you're acting like any of the software you mention tax a modern, single core processor.  you seem to think processors get 'clogged'.  take a look at your task manager and audit the processes.  your CPU usage will not top 10%.

lol, it has nothing to do with 10% cpu "usage". It has to do with interrupts and lower mining WU. Keep this kind of advice to yourself.

OP, ignore this foolish "less is better" trend. If you want to use sgminer with high intensity, VNC/Teamviewer, cgwatcher, MSI afterburner, etc... go for the Sempron 190 dual-core and spend the extra $5 in your $2000 system.

Ditch the Sempron 145. Get's clogged with Windows, drivers, interrupts, sgminer at high intensity, VNC or teamviewer, cgwatcher, MSI Afterburner and so on. Get a dual-core Sempron 190 for $5 more.
i've built eight sempron 145 in 4 card configs with no issues whatsoever.  nothing gets 'clogged' with a single core.

I've also successfully installed on core solo, Athlon x64, and triple core athlons, so slower CPU works fine too.
What OS, motherboard, drivers and software did you use? Did you use cgwatcher, sgminer and VNC/teamviewer?

Thank you for all.
Another important question.
Does Seasonic 1000 Platinum, fit with 3 280x?
With undervolt each will go 250W so it will use 750W + Mb processor and so on they require around 150W, so total will be around 900W is it right my calculation?

Also for Ups Nilox Line Interactive 2100VA Server 17NXGCLI20002
Is that ok? May i buy also two more battery when it fail i change them?
Can i expand each rig with 2 R9-290?

Don't get new Sapphire Dual-X or Vapor-X 280x's! They have a new BIOS (015.041) that throttles at 73 C. I have 6 and can barely break 700 kh/s on each.

PSU : Nilox Line Interactive 2100VA Server 17NXGCLI20002

CABLES:
total 6 riser usb 3.0 .. 1 meter lenght
the USB3-connector risers look awesome, and give lots of config flexibility.  i want to try some out, but they are 3-4x as much as the equivalent ribbon cable risers.   Undecided

super smart to use a UPS with line conditioning.  most people don't think that far along.

You can also install Win8 on an 32GB usb 3.0 pen and save the price of the SSD. It has it's set of disadvantages though: slow and not straightforward.

You may also get away with 4GB of RAM per rig, since you're not using R9-290's.

The same way, you can go single PSU with undervolted cards, if you use an EVGA Supernova G2 1300W, Seasonic X 1250W or some 1500W out there. The point of dual-PSU is saving money, and you're not doing so with your picks. You will be close to the specified amperage though, without much margin for 24/7 operation.

That said, the 3 last suggestions have limitations and drawbacks.
