i have made only good experience using the information of coinwarez so far. what bad experience has you made?

It would be nice if coinwarz ever did anything but time out for me.

Which part of "time out" do you not understand?

I've never been able to get ON the site because it times out EVERY TIME I've tried.

Stick with Bitcoin makes sense, it's worth more vs. effort of mining it than ANY of the SHA256 altcoins, and some pools (like Slush) do some merge mining of some of the altcoins anyway.

I like the interface on Slush, but eventually I'll be moving to F2Pool for the lower fees - just need a more reliable and faster connection to handle the increased bandwidth (I tried it for a while, kept capping out my connection over a month).

Hi guys,

I just received my first miner - a USB sapphire.  I know it's pretty much useless nowadays, but the thing was $5...figured I might as well mess around and learn the ropes  Shocked

Where would be a good place to start mining (SHA256)?  Should I point the thing at whatever new shitcoin comes along & pray its value rises? Solo mine a less-shittier-shitcoin and hope to win big?  I've only successfully connected to LEAcoin, where the pool said I was hashing @ 900+ MH/s...when the miner was advertised @ 330MH/s  Huh

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm sure more questions will pop up here soon  Tongue

Sure, slush is good, go ahead with that. But don't expect to make much with this. Smiley

Don't do any altcoin, stick to BTC. It would be simpler too. Anyhow just keep in mind that it will take a very long time just to make it over the minimum dust payment threshold. And when you do there will be a fee of ... 100k satoshi, is it?

Why do you say 'stick to BTC'?  I figure as I'm going up against everything from single ant S7's to giant mining farms, it'd prove a higher chance to mine some random altcoin with the hopes its price rises one day.  Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong?

Thanks in advance!
Most altcoins have a mining profitability lower than bitcoins so I would be better to mine bitcoins and buy your preferred altcoin with that money. You would get more bank for the buck that way.

Go for slush, i am with them for over a year.

Pool luck is good and for bitcoin decentralization we need to give our hashes to the small pools too.

I always advice newcomers to go for either; slush, f2pool and antpool.

Those pools have been long in the game and best of all they have easy setup instructions on their website.

I don't suggest Antpool.
Loads and loads of proof has been brought up on them and Elugius stealing blocks from their miners to shove into their pockets, filthy rich damn pockets.
Slush has the best/most noob friendly GUI to exercise so I'd suggest them to any newcomers arriving.

Antpool can't be trusted.

Slush is always good, and f2pool (most of my miners are pointed to them) is very very reliable. They are big and have daily payouts.

Compared to antpool their pool luck is also better.

Try solominging, that is a lottery but it has atleast some chance to get something big back. You earn less than in most of faucets.

It's a lottery which he can't win at anytime. If you calculate that chances to find a block are lower than world's collapse right now, Jesus' come back or Yeezus' run for presidency. Smiley

To mine solo you have to believe in chance:
I mine 5 satoshi or so per 10 minutes.
a block is found every 10 minutes or so.

This means that I have when I mine 10 minutes or so:
5 chances on 2500000000
or
1 chance on 500000000

Sorry...I prefer mining in a pool...

Why do sometimes people mining few satoshi solonine?
Because the have no chance to withdraw from a pool relative to the minimum withdrawal...
it is why I propose the co-mining...think about.

Join any BTC pool that support difficulty 1 shares (as a 330 MH/s miner will generate a difficulty 1 share in 13 seconds). I don't suggest mining in any shitcoins, as the profitability of them is all lower than mining bitcoin itself.
