So as not to derail this thread any more, you can open a new one and provide Forum search engine examples that don’t render the expected result, to see if anyone can see the reason, or whether the search engine is indeed faulty at times (I know a few faults myself).

You won’t be reported for plagiarism for being coincidental in topic to an already existing topic, but rather for what is seemingly logical: for using extracts from another source in a literal o deliberately spun sort of manner. Certain topics are to some extent reiterative, and that is pretty much unavoidable, but it is not considered plagiarism by any means.

Search is not brilliant, but I tend to use a few times per day on average, and the results I get are what I intended (I used the Advanced search to better refine my search scope). I may use Google too (fixing the site to Bitcointalk -> site:Bitcointalk.org).

Sorry, I saw a similar experience just now, and I also talked about the problems I encountered.
Every time I use the search function, if I search for a sentence (opinion), it cannot be displayed, but I can search for a few words. This may be the reason for my computer, but I can't search it every time, or is it not very convenient?

Hello, I am also a newcomer to this forum, but I am not a newcomer to encryption. If you want to post, you must search first, otherwise you will be considered plagiarized just like other posts, but I have a certain opinion on the search function on the forum. I think the search function can be improved, but I still dare not post because I am afraid that no one will follow me and no one will read my posts.
I still studied silently for a while. There are many rules in the forum that must be followed.

You can use the search function to search before you can post something, but I think this search function is not very useful, it's time to upgrade.
You are welcome to stay, but I am also a novice, and there is still a lot to learn. Let’s work hard together.

There are a lot of things for me to know , and if I keep making only research and reading of post it will take me months. I also need to drop a post as I make research so as to get understanding from the contribution of old member who have been here before me.

It'll take you months to do what exactly? Don't get pressured into creating topics just to try searching for merits. You can get as much reward as possible from just been usefulness in ongoing discussion on the forum. When you see a topic you have an idea on, you join the discussion constructively and not generically.

Be it replies or topic, provided your contribution are worth been merited and seen by someone or sources with smerits, you'll definitely get merited. Do more of reading then posting. Remember you can't offer what you don't have therefore if you want to be a useful member of the community, enlarge your knowledge on cryptocurency specifically, forum related discussion and other general discussion by constantly reading.

I'm a new member of Bitcointalk. Since I joined the forum I have been taking my time to study the rules and the system of the forum, so that I can have a better understanding about everything  in the forum. My little time have spent reading topics in the forum is not enough. There are a lot of things for me to know , and if I keep making only research and reading of post it will take me months. I also need to drop a post as I make research so as to get understanding from the contribution of old member who have been here before me.
My presence in this forum is one of the greatest thing to me, because I know after sometime  things I'll learn here will change and add value to me.

Sometimes reading news about latest happenings really helps you to know about what's happening here and you can contribute good to the discussion if you are knowledgeable about the topic discuss by the members here so I suggest after you read the rules regarding newbies guide next is to follow the media sites who cover the latest updates about bitcoin and other content creator who focus creating good contents which is helpful for newcomers to know more about bitcoin there are so many of them on youtube or other blog sites and they are quite good to begin with.

Welcome to the bitcointalk forum mate. You did the right thing to use your spare time to read threads and replies then understand them. You can use google to search what made you interested then you can create a thread here in the forum to ask what you haven't understand yet or looking for additional information or knowledge that isn't in the site you have found or where you learn it. I did it when I was a noob and a newbie that time, I even created a thread before which did not go well because of my lack of knowledge.

We all have been there and I only rely google during my newbie days. It took me a long time to understand something about the topic of every related board in this forum. They were right, it's not easy to adapt when it's your first time on to something and I struggle a lot during my newbie days but I keep striving to understand.

You really need to read a lot on the internet and books so that you will have a vast knowledge about crypto currency. And also, there are other board in here that's not really more about on crypto but more about on general knowledge so reading a books will eventually pays off.

You are welcomed to the community at first, the question you should ask yourself as a new fellow is that, what is my target and what possible thing can i invent that will elevate the forum or that will add knowledge to another fellow via the community, now making a meaningful contribution for the community is base on your findings or research concerning cryptocurrencies, so as you said initially from your text...you really have a tax to execute to adopt the procedures of the forum...at first you have to read concerning the rules and regulations of the community, then you also have to read very well or cross check your work before dropping a post.. observation and correction are the Genesis of learning, observe and make a post for the area or board you understand very well, in the aspect correction, you have to accept a correction made by your senior colleagues because no bitcointalk user is ready to render a negative information to a newbie except it's a scammer.

Well you are not obliged to post anyway unless there is something you would want to ask or contribute to the topic. Feel free to ask anyone here in the forum, but before you do that, please use the Search bar here in the forum first before you click that "Create Topic".
There are other newbies that keeps asking the same thing that are just one search away here in the forum.

Whilst that's somewhat true, as asking questions through posts when you're prolly stuck along the way when making a research on a particular topic or subject is a good thing to do, it could sometimes be unnecessary, and that will make me bring the search option to your notice and I indeed feel it should be introduced to every new user. On the strength of that, it's pertinent you know that you actually do not have to start a new topic everytime, you should use the search option to surf for things you need more ideas on, and the search button will channel you to posts or threads that have been made on the topic of your curiosity. The search option actually ensures that many redundant or unnecessary threads don't get made and it generally helps to increase ones knowledge sufficiently.

Congratulations, to you on joining the forum, but if it hasn't been said, already to you, almost all you said are like personal purpose, I mean it sounds like an affirmation recitation, time will tell if you would do what you affirmed to, but I encourage you to do so, when I was a newbies I found the forum at first frightening and I had grown curious about Bitcoin, so mixed that together I was filled with so many emotions about what the forum is, but am thankful about all that now, affirmation is okay, but don't be excited to show more than you know or can.

You are a good aim in the forum with great enthusiasm to seek experience in this forum and it will be of value to you.

Welcome to the forum for your good intentions.

Of course, by following the newbie rules, you will definitely understand and obey so that it is one of the ways not to violate and the link above is clear about the rules.

I'm sure you must have a broad understanding but indeed if you just read the topic it is very difficult to understand if we enter into the discussion there is a special value where you can post with your skills about crypto and here there is a lot of understanding that can be learned as well as possible, So I appreciate your good intentions.

Welcome to the forum.

You choose the right method as a new user because you are willing to read and learn the rules and systems that apply in the forum before you post it. It's actually a bit hard to trust a newbie who claim to be a newbie but has the ability to sign bitcoin message without asking which wallet is right for him. I see you managed to do it even when the thread sank since July 25, 2021 or before you signed up. It is clear that this is not a habit the average beginner exhibits where they feel confused about what they should do. OP, enjoy your journey on this forum and never go against the grain, meaning there are rule you have to follow if you want to be a useful user.

I hate to piss on your party mate but, is this really a thing? If I is, of what value does it do the forum becuase, there is literally no bone of contentment in your thread as I see it now.pershape if it were to be some information on how making a first post made you feel or perhaps some other contributions that could aid newbies and perhaps provide some encouragement not to be scared of making contributions, it could have been better.

As it is now, its just empty to me and of little or no value. I just breezed in quickly to for a review on what DdmrDdmr's first thread was like and it talked about his experience with ICOs and then I took a stroll through mine and it was very brief though, it had it's team set on understanding why bitcoin has got such slow growth, why so many people are familiar with the term but it still seemed as though, it was for a selected few. There was a time too, I checked on Darkstars's first thread and it was about lending of cryptos, more of rendering a service by the way.

Why am I bringing this up, I know it's often not so easy here as a beginner but that's because, you've termed it so #Difficult. Reading is good but don't be scared to make contributions and if you must contribute, make it count. Which ever way you want to put it, it should be taxed at performing some function. Either passing some information, helping someone and stuff like that.  Make it count.

Out of curiosity, I’ve just taken a look at the first thread I created, and of all places, it was in Altcoin Discussion, amidst the ICO Hype. So were the second and third threads I created. I was actually very curious about the whole matter at the time, and new to it all. After a brief time of wading around the different forum boards, I shifted my focus of interest.

What I mean by the above is that it takes a while to explore and discern your areas of interest, and there is indeed a fair share of reading to be done, both on the forum and through external resources that provide a more linear explanation (i.e. books).

Ask when you need to ask and express your opinion at will, but getting some ground basics goes a long way.

You are not the only one!  Grin

As far as I can see, BitcoinTalk's forum is not radically different from other online communities. I don't understand why some newcomers are obsessed with forum rules?
Respecting each other and respecting differing opinions is the most important principle of any social community.

You shouldn't necessarily be obsessed, mostly people just need to know that plagiarism is a huge offense here(rightfully so, because of spammers). Along with that, just don't do anything stupid and shady and you're pretty much good.

Google is your guide, if you have something to ask or you faced some problem while in here or you don't understand something, try to use google first before making a post here. Everything that is forum related questions, you can make a thread on meta boards or just here in Beginners & Help it will be move to meta if necessary though.
