ISP's using dynamic IP's is pretty much the standard.  I haven't heard of anyone else having a problem like this and I sure don't and I use Comcast.

Your router should be able to route the traffic regardless of the ISP changing IP's.  Your mining software only see's the gateway IP, AKA your router address.

Are you still using OS/2? Does it still exist? I used it about 15 years ago, really loved it, but it seemed to ..... disappear ... from my gaze at least.

Thx for the help going to check out that no-ip program today and try that first .. If that dont work out ill call Comcast and try to get a fixed Ip ..  They will most likely want more money for that ... Will update when I get it fugured out thx again Smiley

They will definitely want more money for a fixed IP but it has other advantages as well. Some websites implement security where you can  choose to to log in from one IP address only.

Im stupid newbie lol I just went through all the setup instruction for my miners that is on this fourm. I noticed that you can put two seperate IP address"s in on the set up page. For some reason i put the same one twice instead of using the two addresses that Comcast has been giving me. When I get home from work today im going to put both Ip setting in on the setup screen of my miners. I just hope that it will automatically try both addresses without me having to hit refresh or switch servers on the setup screen for miners ?? I feel kinda stupid now lol ..........    Smiley

For some reason my IP address is being changed every couple days by my Internet provider Comcast. I have to reset all my setting on my miners. It's strange because it goes back and forth from the same 2 addresses every couple days. Is there a setting im missing that locks my IP address or do i have to contact my provider. Im on a old windows XP pc that host my miners. Any help is really apriciated thx Smiley

why do you have to reset the settings?

Most Internet providers don't give you a fixed IP address. Contact Comcast and ask if they can provide one. It will cost more if they can but its a solution.

You probably just have a dynamic IP address.

You might want to look into no-ip, they allow you to assign a name to your IP address so even when it changes all the programs depending on it can find the new address instead of idling around waiting for you to update manually.
