I hope someone gets an answer for this, i was a jnr member before i just woke up to see that my stuff has changed to Newbie without any reason from the moderator or admins, is this not illegal?
Any advice how i can get myself back?
Your trust rating you use tools that are not allowed to be used here in bitcointalk, so the possibility that some of your old posts got deleted and made you fall behind in terms of your forum activities so yes you get to drop back to newbies until you increase your activities back to meet junior members rank requirements.

If you have the interest of this forum at heart you will let go of those AI and contribute as a human that you are at least you will be proud that you can put your brain to use by contributing positively to discussions around the forum.

The rank requirements is not the same as before where you don't need merits to rank up but only activity points. As of now, I checked your activity points and it didn't even reach 30 so you didn't have rhe requirements to become jr. member. The reason could be your posts are deleted and the activity points will be deducted too. Just increase your activity points back to 30 and that will solve your problem. Your posting habit is explained in the post above and that's my guess why it is deleted.

I also have this same issue, I was a junior member rank before I took a break from this forum due to some personal issues that won't allow me time to participate in discussion here.

Came back a few days ago to see I've been dropped back to newbie, I was skeptical initially but later on assumed it was due to my inactivity, was coming here to post a complaint but saw this thread already, and I am happy to learn that the drop in rank is due to lack of the required number or activity to climb and maintain the junior member rank, I will try to be more active henceforth to ensure this does not happen to me again.

This message goes directly to the O.P of this thread, because I just made a glance through your previous comments and noticed that you are fond of replying to people's comments with just two or three words, just as shown below, which according to the forum rules, such statements are regarded as spam e.g "Thank you" or "That was excellent".

Okay i get you thanks

Hence, the only way to avoid having your post been deleted from the forum is for you to stop replying with 2 to 3 words in a statement, but rather make your conversation longer to have at least 20 to 50 words. Because if you can develop the habit of writing long sentences or words, the chances of you having your post deleted will be slimmer, and likewise the higher the chances of you getting merited if you make meaningful conversation, because I'm already seeing 10 posts that are likely to be deleted also if you don't change your posting style of writing few words.

Okay i get you thanks

Considering that half of your messages have been deleted, you should analyze your mistakes so that this does not happen again. In addition, you need to study the rules of the forum, which you are obviously not familiar with - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

There is nothing wrong with your account neither did anyone do you harm, your posts were deleted and as a result reducing the number count of the required post and activities for each rank, this shouldn't be a problem, once you're able to continue posting, but this time i will advise that you make a quality one that could escape being deleted by the moderators.

Don't worry about that, maybe it could that some of your posts was deleted that's why your account change to newbie. Because normally as a newbie you are supposed to know all this things by now so that Incase if you experience such thing you would no what to do by yourself, that's why is necessary for newbie to always stick to the guidelines. However, since you have already gotten 1 merit with 23 activity, I would advice you make more posts so that it'll enable you rank up to jr member again.

Read the information Churchillvv shared to no the number of activities required for the rank in question, so that being said the reason why you are still at your current rank is because your activities is still on 23 while the number that would qualify you is 30 activities, so actually there is no excuses because everything is very transparent and automatic so no body will take you back when you are qualify for any position. However the aspect of being a Jnr member before but currently at newbie is what I did not get right, are you sure see you are not mistaken newbie for Jnr member?.

You have merit and if your account previously was as a Junior member, now demoted to Newbie, it is because of your account activity point that is not enough 30 points.

In previous posts, there are information about forum ranks, that you can read and understand it better.

In the past, there was a demotion on Junior members that did not earn any single merit, but as I said it is not your account situation.
Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements
Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text.

I think you have to read this thread to understand how the forum ranking system work: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177

For clarity, to be a junior member, you need at least 1 merit and 30 activities. It is possible you had enough activities but your posts were deleted and that have to automatically reduce your activities. If you make more posts and earn more activities, then your Jr member status will be restored since you already fulfilled the merit requirements.

According to the report (https://ninjastic.space/user/id/3678956), you had 49 posts and earned 1 merit, so you likely reached Jr. Member status, assuming you also met the activity requirement. However, looking at your current post count, it’s down to 21, meaning more than 50% of your posts were deleted.

If you want to rank up again, just keep posting until you reach the minimum requirement, as outlined in the ranking brackets shared by @Churchillvv.

Okay thanks how did you get so much rank and is there any penalty in sharing?

I registered in 2016, so it took me less than two years to rank up. Back then, the merit system wasn’t introduced yet, so ranking up was just a matter of time and activity.

But for your case, your account now requires merit to rank up.

Here’s the merit requirement to move up in rank:

Merit & new rank requirements

Quote
Rank   Required activity   Required merit
Brand new            0                   0
Newbie           1                   0
Jr Member           30                   1
Member           60               10
Full Member   120                  100
Sr. Member   240                 250
Hero Member   480               500

As to sharing, there was no penalty on that, in fact you get rewarded with merits sometimes if you share valuable posts.

There are two possible things that may affects or cause the change of your account ranks;
  • Is either a topic you created that you made so much post was entirely deleted
  • Or someone reported most of your post to be shitpost or spam.
Apart from this nothing else happened to your profile as everything is intack without changes.

Perhaps you would still have do some reading regarding ranking and activities. Here is the quote below to show how merit and activities work together to update your rank in the forum.

Brand New: 0 posts
Newbie: 1-29 activity
Jr. Member: 30-59 activity
Member:   60-119 activity
Full Member: 120-239 activity
Sr. Member: 240-479 activity
Hero Member: 480 activity
Legendary: Somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity

And this topic doesn't belong here it's a beginner and help question and that's where it belongs. you can move it there.

So I just had to take a look at your profile and you have some neutral tags all for spamming and using chat AIs to make post and perhaps I believe the post which you used the AIs to make must have been scrapped and hence leading to your post or activities reducing.

One thing you should avoid is using ai to make post it's highly frowned at in this prestigious forum.

Your post numbers and activities have reduced; maybe they were deleted by mods or yourself. That’s why your rank dropped down to match your current number of activities.

If you make more posts and your activity is updated back to 30 activities, you will automatically regain your Jnr member rank without doing anything.
