I just wanted you guys to know my bitcoin kickstarter project was denied, so I modified it and resubmitted.

They said I must do all the software development internally,  and I noted on the description in the first version that I have little experience in iOS...  so I might ousource parts of it.  They grabbed onto that and stated that I cannot outsource anything with Kickstarter funding?...  (like everyone that builds anything there owns a factory........ or anyone that codes a video game is both the programmer and the graphic designer and advertiser and publisher? )

So I resubmitted it and now I am going to hit the books for iOS app development....  if they approve it.. I am going to FULLY need the community to support it...    because it will open a door for everyone to get bitcoin projects funded and built.

..  it's a very minor but valid project with expected delivery on January 1st 2014

If you've got good HTML5 experience and are good with JavaScript, I *highly* recommend you look at trigger.io.  Unlike many "non-native" frameworks like Titanium and even the Lua mobile frameworks and Kivy (which I actually like), trigger.io has no delay in starting up -- it's as fast as native apps on both Android and iOS.  It also hooks into a lot of native UI components, which results in an app that is indistinguishable from a native one that runs on both Android and iOS.  If you find you need some native functionality that doesn't exist, it's easy to build native plugins using Java and/or Objective C.

It's definitely worth a look; I'm totally impressed.  Combined with parse.com, and it makes building mobile apps very simple as long as you know JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.

It's like that BY DESIGN so that the guys at Kickstarter see that Bitcoin Projects can be successful...  I'll post the link if and when it's approved..

If it's approved and funded (hopefully more than just what's minimum) the guys at Kickstarter will most likely fund more and more bitcoin projects.. IE: this would change everything for everyone...

Editor-in-Chief of Let's Talk Bitcoin!
Be careful not to overpromise, there is nothing more irritating for a backer than a project where the founder thought they could definitely do something that wound up taking an extra 6 months beyond the estimate to deliver.

If that happens, you'll be making enemies for bitcoin not friends,
So please PLEASE add extra time to your estimated dates to manage expectations.   Better to be early than late

A lot of fingers are crossed for you.  I find it very encouraging that you were denied on the basis of rules that apply to anyone, not just to Bitcoin projects.  Good luck!

You wanted to KickStart an app I'm assuming?  Shouldn't you really have some background in iOS dev in that case?  Tongue

Btw what's the link?

See that's the bugger,  I have extensive Android experience,  and HTML5 webapp experience.. .just never built one for iOS yet...  I know I can do it... just never did yet.

It's not approved yet...  and I can PM you the "preview" link on kickstarter.. but I am not publishing it on an open forum until it's approved.
