ranging from random account freezes to denying money transfers to some subcontractors

Now we use bitcoin whenever we can and no more time wasted with paypal customer service!!

You can withdraw through a bank account that has the same name etc... after 180 days and sometimes less as far as I know, PayPal has already been known for doing this with anyone doing anything they don't like (not necessarily forbidden by them)

i3.gov - file complaint

Than go to state AG office and file complaint online.

Better just use bitcoin. They are big and the government wont do anything.

He will be just wasting his time with useless bureocrats.

Depends on the state.  I live in CA and this is the worst state for businesses.  It's the best if you want to fight a company. Antime I reference the CA State AG or Trade or Labor Bureau I get things solved quickly Tongue

PayPal shut an account a friend of mine owns down.  This account had a balance of 2.9 Million dollars.  The did this about 2 months after 9/11 and wanted to verify who he was.  His attorney sent them the verification information with in the matter of 2 hours from his account being frozen, pending verification, and it took them 7 days to release the account.  Then 2 days later they froze an account that large over $81.  That is all.  They are great people that need to fall off the face of the earth.

so UFC related stuff against their TOS ? WOW i had no idea that is fucking retarded !

i know any digital currency stuff is.

and guy don't just make another account that us dumb LOL

and DO NOT ever put a credit card number in there.. that is plain stupid.

I fought these pricks over a BTC-e withdrawal after they unlocked my account for fighting them for 2 months
they ripped me off for almost $700 bucks and kept lying about it..
then i got them to admit after another month of fighting.
then i got a random bill *swiftly pushed to my bank account for $24 in ebay fee's from months earlier
when i sold something and i had an invoice that said i owed 0 dollars and 0 cents.
i didn't owe them anything..
my bank stuck me with a $45 nsf charge and i got pissed off and closed my account
later my bank manager met with me on another matter and used that incident to ban me from my bank for ever.

I had taken out all my money just for the hell of it the day before (i don't trust banks)
I had about $150 in there and had not spent it yet the next day when the NSF charge showed up.
and funny part is when i ever waited for money to get sent from Paypal to my bank it took days..
But they sent me an email and had taken the money from my account in 24 hours flat.

oh and get this..
i had called Paypal before sending coins from BTC-e to Paypal
and asked if all was cool.. they said yeah no problem and even checked with a supervisor.
I did this i told them because i had not used my Paypal in a couple years roughly.
and i had a new address.. they said ya your fine go ahead.. spend away !

roughly 8 hours after being told on the phone your good.. they locked my account.
and why was a fishing expedition.. they kept changing their story as to what the problem is.
they would never tell me really just demanding more and more info etc.
do yourselves a favor and stay the fuck away from Paypal.

I will repeat.. ALL digital currency activity is against their TOS.. your will have your account locked and funds seized !

There is so much that PayPal can do without justifying.

If you know how to navigate without pissing them off, you can last long.

Lucky that i closed my accounts years ago, fuck them, they look like a bunch of scammers.

Look like? They are.

I`m not sure, it might be just incompetence and abusive power concentrated to monopoly corporations like usual.

Tons of people tend to abuse their power, it might not be premeditated.

Have they confiscated your money too?

Why do people store money in their PayPal accounts?
Surely you would want it in the bank where it is (slightly) safer?

Paypal is the leading payment processor. Major companies accept paypal for their goods and the ease of use is very convenient.
think about what you just said, paypal is a payment processor, they specialize in sending and receiving money  and some people trust them enough to actually store money in their accounts
Banks on the other hand store money, their main job is to keep money safe

Though, in a bank your money won't be frozen for 180 days unless there is some serious accusations against you

But whenever I spend money through PayPal, it uses my card.
I didn't even know PayPal stored money until I read some of the horror stories of accounts getting limited.
When you receive a payment,PayPal doesn't immediately transfer it to your account. They have different policies for different countries. For Indian users, they cant hold their money for more than 48 hours due to RBI regulations. In most of other countries, users have to manually withdraw their funds after a stipulated time and if some dispute arises in the meantime, they limit your account and prevent withdrawal

Lmao PayPal is thinks that they're King and can do whatever they want. The sad part about it is that it's true. Too many people trust in it to go to another payment processor. Losing a couple customers means nothing to them

They are King, what else can you use that is safe.  They do offer buyer and seller protection when you can provide the necessary proofs.

I got scammed 3,500$ worht of selling BTC on Paypal due to the funds being reversed by buyer (this is 3 years ago).

Then Paypal contacted me stating since they had refunded the 3,500$ to the buyer i now owed 3,500$ (total 7,000$ loss)

I sent the debtors agency Paypal had hired to get my money the conversation screenshots LocalBTC had provided me with.

In the end i only lost 3,500$ as Paypal left me alone.

From what I understand, they believe you have made purchase of something at the mentioned site and hence violated their terms of use.Does it reflect in your PayPal transaction history?

Not a purchase, sales offers.

No.

They limited my account for selling on a website on which I  never sold on, and which I never visited at all!!

If anyone can tell me where I could send my story to get it published, I would be very interested in doing so.

Are you completely sure that that email is from a legitimate PayPal employee? If it's a scam phishing mail, then it might be a whole 'nother problem.

Yes, my account has been limited on PayPal.com
And I have talked with their support numerous times.

Have they confiscated your money too? if that is the case, you can sue them and if you had no money in your paypal account, dont waste your time on PayPal and move to skrill.I have been reading lots of PayPal stories but my personal experience with them were very pleasant when once they limited my account. I called them and they helped me got the limit removed.

Yes, 160$.
I don't really care about the money though, I cared about using my PayPal, I used it for many years, I have made 200+ purchases on eBay, and this is what I get in return without any of my own fault.

On 30th August I got this e-mail

Claiming my account has been limited because of sales offers on fight-bb.com

It was the first time ever hearing of that website, so I thought that was a simple mistake and could be sorted out easily.

I called them and asked why has my account been limited, I have never heard of this website before
The response was: "I have no information about that, but I can send it for a review"

I said okay with faith it will be lifted.

Soon, I got an e-mail.

I called them again and asked why has my account been limited, and I said I don't want the limit removed, I just want to know why has my account been limited, and again the response was "I don't have access to that information", I sent e-mails, I called and called, and no results.

I visited the website and found out fight-bb.com is a UFC website, UFC!

I have never done any sales or even bought something related to UFC online.

I thought I was framed by someone else and started searching the website with anything related to me, but found nothing.

I called again and asked why, still the same response, I got furious and said "I can't believe this, I'm going to make sure every website on the internet knows how PayPal treats its customers".

This is what I'm trying to do.

PayPal can get you banned for no reason, and you won't be able to get your account back!
