ok I will go in to more detail the one that works has been running for over a week with out dyeing,

the faulty one can some times stop working after a few minutes and then there's times when it wont go above 4ghs and it will beep at times even tho I'm sure the u3s don't have a speaker this is why I think it is faulty and will be looking for an exchange.

Ok that you would be right on second one sounding fault if it only reaches 4ghs and you tried different things to operate it and still happens.  That is not normal so getting a refund your right would be proper.

But on your one running over a week that is luck.  Zombies normally hit U3's much more often then that, the more you have the more you see it.  When I had 3 I was resting multiple times a day zombies are just that common.  The R1 with CrazyGuys firmware saved all that though.

Yeah do that.

Then let us know how the replacement works.

Or do that and also get the only known piece of equipment in the world. That runs more then one u3 consistently well

The bitmaintech router with crazy guys updated patch.

First run the replacement with out the router see how it works.  Then run the two with crazy guys modded router.

Let's us know if you prefer the two with or with the router.

Based on the reports of twenty or more owners you will need to run with the router to get good results.

One question did you run it with just the bad one alone plugged into all the wires the good one uses.

If the bad one works then the issue is your epuipment can't run two of them.

So please swap out the good one and do not attach it.  Then put the bad one in run it and see what happens.

Hello every one who tried to help me with my problem I am sorry I haven't reapplied in a while I had a family emergency, I found the problem one of the u3s is faulty it zombies after an hour or 2 but my other one is perfectly fine, so now I have to get the ebay seller to ether exchange or Refund, wish me luck and thanks for all your help.

That is not faulty sadly that is the nature of U3's.  If you read thread you will see it is VERY common for zombie.  So you really should not get a refund, as its a well known issue.   And if he exchanges for other... it's going to do same thing.

What you need to do is find something to automate restarting.  Best in my mind is a R1 with crazyguy's firmware it resets if zombies happen and need it.  And this restarts them without you having to do anything.

Haha and thanks for trying to help me

hmmm that would make sense they are the ones included with the U3s

information on the back of the power adapter model LR120075

INOUT 100-240v 50/60hz
2.5A MAX
output 12v 7.5A

and the PI is powered by  micro usb plug and the information on the back

Power adapter
The PIhut
ModelLA-520W
input 100-240vac0.3A
50/60hz
Output5V 2000mA

And I'm in the UK

1st off, that is probably a bad power adapter that is undersupplying the miners. Get a better power supply, preferably 10-20w above required for headroom. Some power bricks have terrible efficiency, and I have experience with that. U3s will go into zombie as the power rail is coupled with the usb connector for some odd reason. Probably just lazy bitmain engineering. Crazyguy's software for R1s, as posted above, is your only hope for u3s. There's a reason they're sold so low. Ofc there are watchdog scripts makeable out there that automagically reboot cgminer on zombie, but seriously U3s are a pain in the butt and you made a mistake buying them.

With U3's it's called a "zombie".  You can search this term and will come back with a TON of issues its not you... it's the U3's.  Your choices are sell them, get a R1 with crazyguys firmware, or reset multiple time a day.

I would suggest getting a R1 if your dead set on keeping the U3's.  But unless you have it automated like crazyguy's firmware the zombies will make you hate mining.

Lol I cant sell them I only got them like 2 weeks ago

the speed of both r box miners are only the power of one U3

I don't have a ant miner router.

I use 2 separate power blocks to power the Ant miner U3s.

and I think my internet is stable is there any monitoring software I can use to check out my connection ?

okay  repeat ant miner u3s suck.

that said i will try to help.

let me have the exact specs of the power bricks you are using.

shitty bricks run out of gas and get warm then give it up.

Also how do you power your rasp pi?

lastly are you in the usa ?

Is your internet stable?  Don't have any experience with miners you mentioned but some of the other bitmain products will stop mining if the internet disconnects for any reason.  Something to look at.

Sell the u 3s they suck

Some have had luck using the ant miner router with crazyguy's

Custom software.

Other ideas run the  r box miners and don't run the u3s.

If they do not crash  just run them.

Lastly how do you power the u3s?

OK so I will tell you the problem then I will tell you my set up.

MY Miners run fine for a few hours some times a few days but it always dies and I have to reset it and its getting really annoying as its not like I can leave it for long periods of time.

I have 2 Ant miner U3s

And 2 R-box rockminers

That connect Directly to my Raspberry Pi 2

I am running Minera

I'm not using a Wi-Fi dongle I connect directly to my Router with a Ethernet cable.

well that's it, I hope some one can help me....
