I would rather look at some new coins with new scripts, good development, little to no premine etc.

altcoin have a tendency to increase, it conditional on base price of btc and eth . altcoin have a prices increase ($) , possible that use transactions buy some thing and trading on the exchange , make still rise to altcoin price . I'm interested with dogecoin, see prices always adjust at price 1 cent or 2 cent. this is a nice profit for monthly tradingand on dogecoin mining, it's still profitable.

Why you dont choose token for holding? Some token start building their own blockchain and will swap token to coins, i think buy token when it still cheap is also good ways to invest.

3. If the coin have any fuure perspectives then the future inflation is not a big deal. You can always predict the amount of new coins.
