I paid 0.00053btc for this Fantech KX-302s Mouse and Keyboard Combo Pack today.

I feel really happy because, for the second time, I used Bitcoin again to purchase a physical product. Though I used it first as a restaurant bill at my friend's restaurant, where any crypto is not accepted, I just personally sent it to him because he wanted it. Second, one of my online friends who is interested in cryptography and whose aim is also to be a bitcoin merchant when bitcoin is accepted in our country. He will be a bitcoin merchant too for his tech shop. Today I bought a keyboard and mouse combo for $26, which accumulated to 2200 tk of our native currency and 0.00053 I sent to him directly to his personal account. It feels so fast, though I use the centralized method of Coinbase Friends to Friends, so I don't need to pay any fees either. I'm hoping that I'll be able to go to a merchant soon and get my product as well.
P2P bitcoin payments are the best way to do in countries that do not yet recognize Bitcoin as a means of payment

I also made several transactions using the P2P method with friends who have a business selling clothes and pants, and we do everything directly or the term is COD

my friend is also very happy if he is paid with Bitcoin because he realizes that the price will continue to rise, and he is very excited when he hears the price of Bitcoin goes down, he says when the price of bitcoin goes up then I make a big profit Cheesy

It is incredible the ways they have to do business with BTC, especially when it comes to purchases, this in other developed countries is something normal, however I have been able to make some purchases on the internet and basically on localbitcoins.com, to acquire goods and services , recently I was able to pay another user in btc through localbitcoins to pay me for a directv account that I cannot pay in my country, that belongs to another country but that the signal still comes out due to the proximity, when verifying that the person paid what I did was release the fraction of BTC, I think that things are also possible through this medium.

I am also looking to upgrade my PC system but prices are so high at the moment that I am just not that comfortable. The most important component for me is a new GPU which are expected to rise another 15% this year. If prices recover soon I might sell some of my alt coins for the new PC.
why don't you just do the following

take $100 and invest LTC now and in a few months when it rises together with bitcoin it will have a price of $300 and with that you would have 300$ so you would already have money to buy parts for your pc without having to spend a lot of money
He have altcoins with him that he wants to sell and I suppose when he said altcoins, that already includes ltc or if not then he can sell those alts first or convert them into ltc. No doubt that ltc is a good coin better than most altcoins today.

LTC is often compared to as a silver bitcoin so chances are when btc recovers, ltc can also follow or vice versa. 300 usd looks so small though and might not be enough because his aim is to buy quality parts better than what he was using and if that is a latest product , that will surely be expensive for now although he can always re invest the 300 dollars and repeat the process till he get his desired amount.
LTC is indeed a great choice and I must agree that it is very similar to bitcoin as both of them are based on the same underlying blockchain and verification methods. However, there are some key differences that should also be paid attention to.

Well, I am happy that you did a transaction, but unfortunately that transaction only occurred in the internal Exchange database and not on the actual Bitcoin Blockchain. It is not a train smash, but you cannot compare the speed of the internal Exchange database with actual Bitcoin transaction confirmation on the Blockchain. (The transaction on the legacy Bitcoin Blockchain will take much longer)

Your next goal should be to setup a Lightning Network node to do a LN transaction between your friend and yourself, because that will show you what Bitcoin transactions can be, if you focused on transaction speed and low transaction cost.

Question : Have you ever transferred any bitcoins from a Bitcoin address to another Bitcoin address on the Blockchain? (Example : Electrum wallet)

It feels good to see how people have been making use of their bitcoins. I haven't bought anything so far with my bitcoin. It’s only trading that I have been doing. But I will definitely think about using my bitcoin when I have a big purchase to make.

I did my second purchase in Bitcoin yesterday , Lucky to find a coffee shop in outside the city that accepts bitcoin and Binance as payments, but it is sad that i did not happen to take at least a photo because we are in rush heading to far province so i just enjoy my Coffee and cake paying with my bitcoin.
congratulations to you, until now I have never made payments using bitcoin, because in my country I have not been able to make transactions using bitcoin, there is hope that one day I can feel how to buy goods by paying with bitcoin money, and of course I can share stories with people if bitcoin can indeed be used for virtual payments
there are of course all you have to do is search for the local stores or online business, i also have same though in the past because bitcoin is not literally accepted in my country but what i found is there are plenty of them .

It is cool, man.
So far, I have never used Bitcoin as a payment to buy something. LOL
Maybe because of the prohibition in my country to use BTC as payment, also other cryptocurrencies.
Actually, I may still be able to buy it abroad, but so far, no need to use it. But, I am happy to see every person who shares their experience of buying something with Bitcoin. Hopefully, many more merchants (especially the giant merchants) can accept BTC or more cryptos as their part of payment options.

In my country, unfortunately there are no personal shop that accept crypto. I mean in my circle there are no person who sell things like that and mostly only selling digital thing. So i can't buy anything directly with bitcoin.
Same here. Using crypto coins/tokens for payment purposes is illegal in my country. That's why there are no stores accepting Bitcoin or altcoins for payment tools. So, both physical or online stores, still don't accept any crypto coins/tokens here. It's a challenge/obstacle of Bitcoin payment usage in my country, we can use Bitcoin or altcoins for a digital investment only. Maybe someday if our government officially announces allowing Bitcoin both for a digital investment and payment purposes, then we really have the freedom to use crypto coins here.

Buying something or product with bitcoin is something I have never done. People around me will not accept anything that is not seen or felt by eyes or hand. But little by little everyone will come to this place we are already.
Sometimes what we want to pay for will be small amount of money and we will like to use the off chain method. So we have to do extra work to educate the opposite party before you can do transaction.

So are you saying that after three months, the price of Litecoin will be three times the price it is now. Well, i am not neglecting your statement as this could happen but what if bitcoin unable to move above 40K and it is being trading below 30K after three months. If this is the case, then litecoin price may be half of the current price. So he have to wait more to buy the parts of the PC. Lets see what develops but it is the movement of the bitcoin which will determine the price of LTC and other coins in the next three months.

This thread is a great example of how p2p buying and selling can be done without the involvement of a third party. 1 person gave a thing, 2 person immediately received payment and no one else should interfere with this, because this is the relationship of only these two people. Thanks to BTC this is possible.

That's nice of you, nothing Bitcoin can not purchase except the company you want to really get their products don't accept cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin for exchanges of goods transaction and Bitcoin transaction, Even though they doesn't accept Bitcoin, you can as well converts to Fiat currency and purchase their products, since i started trading Bitcoin, Bitcoin has helped me to acquire so many things that i will not be able to go into details, just encourage new once who enroll into cryptocurrency recently to be serious, because their is extent Bitcoin will reach someone can as well establish shop in local environment that will accept Bitcoin as a means of payment. Everything is new innovations.

I think its wonderful Geelong to hear that you somehow bounght purchases using Crypto currency. But my country has not accepted yet.But many countries and many companies are interested in cryptocurrency investment and accepted payment method. This is good thing like Bitcoin payment method. I hope oneday every countries will be legal in bitcoin.
That shouldn't stop you as you can probably advertise what you want to buy and have an offer in bitcoin, it's that simple. Pretty sure that there is someone in your country that would gladly accept a crypto payment if you want it to be, if there is a will then there is a way. I have the same problem as you but if you just asked and looked for the answer, you would definitely find it.

Usually, online stores or friends will offer their second-hand items in exchange for bitcoin, but I believe that the majority of online shops, if not all, are now accepting bitcoin as payment, as the cryptocurrency is becoming more widely recognized. When it comes to his purchase, it is particularly fantastic now that a large number of people who earn bitcoin are gradually purchasing items. As for myself, I have purchased a significant amount of cryptocurrency due to the cryptocurrency boom, but I have converted it to our local currency because there are few businesses that accept bitcoin, despite the fact that it is the same currency, so we are grateful and thankful to have a bitcoin.

It's always nice to see people using bitcoin as currency and not only as an investment, as usual. Good that you were able to find an electronics' shop accepting bitcoin as payment method accessible to your location. I'm constantly trying to find some in my place, but google search algorithms aren't helping very much... It would be useful if there were a filter on google shopping search for showing only stores accepting bitcoin as payment.

This way, even smaller shops could get some special attention from crypto enthusiasts, which they aren't able to get at this moment due to the enourmous amount of inaccurate content displayed by google.
Right this way the actual aim for what bitcoin was made is fulfilled that of making payments with it instead of using inflationary fiat. There are some people like @OP who doesn't care to accumulate all the btc they hold but also spend a little bit by making purchases with it.

So @OP congratulations to you for making your second purchase with it and you have promoted the use of it as small scale shopkeepers will also make use of it and understand how it works.

up until now, a lot of crypto holders are still hesitant to spend their btc for the sole reason that they want to get a hold of satoshis as long as possible. but there are merchants that are now starting to accept crypto payments because of its growing popularity and some of these merchant owners are also crypto users. so it is not hard for them to deal with crypto payments.
but it is true, that up until now, if you look at your local area, you will find out that it is hard to find a shop or merchant accepting crypto. they have their reasons like volatility not to accept crypto but i believe in time, the merchants' list will grow.

It's easy to say that, but if the price of bitcoin continues to crash of course LTC will also continue to crash.
Holder needs cold money which is not needed for anything else. If the investment is made for the long term or just to achieve a predetermined target, of course it must be done properly and do not violate the rules that have been made.

Well nice to hear that you somehow bought peripherals using crypto, though it is more of an indirect approach like the OP here mentioned which was still back in December. Here in my country, that is somehow what I also do except that I use custodial wallet like Coins PH to pay my bills. It is going to need to be converted to a local currency before being used to pay or buy stuffs.
It's not literally the  BTC payment method due to conversion process, but surely they'll fill the gap of what I meant to say one day.

That was a nice purchase you did there in December, right before the prices were falling. Usually I am against using bitcoins for buying things where I could have used fiat money instead, but if this happens right before the dip it's great timing. The best would be now to buy back the same btc amount at much lower rates. I am also looking to upgrade my PC system but prices are so high at the moment that I am just not that comfortable. The most important component for me is a new GPU which are expected to rise another 15% this year. If prices recover soon I might sell some of my alt coins for the new PC.

I will repeat myself, I would like that one day they would make statistics on how many people use bitcoin as a payment method even with these rates a little exaggerated until recently I used to buy using bitcoin but after that period of increase in rates I stopped doing it purchases with bitcoin because when things happened in my country I would pay customs and it would not be advantageous for me to do that anymore

This is a good thing to support the use of the bitcoin as the payment method because it's a convenient thing but still, this kind of transaction required a p2p transaction because of course both parties does not trust each other so we need to make sure the other part will send into another one. Mostly meet in public places. Currently one of the best crypto atm is crypto.com because they have a debit card in my country I can use it now as payment but of course, the withdrawal is too much in fees so I do it in my payment, not for the withdrawal into our fiat currency.

I'm excited as well to purchase any stuff i want using bitcoin but sad to say here in my country there's still no news about some stores that accepting bitcoin even though it's popular here and seems no problem at all, I dont know why maybe there are some reason why they don't want to expose it if however they exist. Because to be honest i was actually expecting that some of the online sellers within my country will gonna accept bitcoin because of pandemic but seems nothing and they all just relying on other digital currency which is centralized and very common here in my country.

the first one, congrats to you, it was a good experience.
as long as I know bitcoin, I have never made direct transactions with foreigners to buy things using bitcoin. anyway, i just did it by exchanging bitcoin for fiat, and bought something. I made transactions like that long ago.
however, it might be quite interesting to use bitcoins directly to buy something. Unfortunately, in my country, bitcoin is prohibited as a medium of exchange, so I may find it difficult to do so. well, or can only buy digital products such as domains, hosting, and so on.
This is what most from earlier on thought that bitcoin was only good for: To buy digital type goods and services.
But now it is more well known to be used to make purchases of physical goods as more and more retailers are accepting it due to the use of services such as paypal payments and coinbase friend to friend payments which are without transaction fees.
Bitpay use be the only way to pay these retailers as this was the only way they knew how to make it to be able to accept such payments. But now there are services such as square (now known as block) and crypto.com(where available) to be able to make those payments seemless from crypto to fiat. So the retailers don't need to hassle themselves with the technical aspects of accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.

you are lucky that you have successfully made a second purchase using bitcoin, maybe in the country you live in there are already many places available that are allowed to make purchases using bitcoin, maybe my fate is not lucky, because I live in a country where the government says bitcoin it's haram and can't be used as a transaction tool..

It is sad if we live in a country that has not legalized Bitcoin as a means of payment, meaning we can not use Bitcoin to buy the things we want.
Although I also live in a country that prohibits using Bitcoin as a means of payment, but at least I can still be grateful to be able to use Bitcoin
for investment, because the government of my country legalized Bitcoin to be used as a digital asset. So at least I can still get benefit from Bitcoin.
Because I know there are still some countries that really prohibit the use and ownership of Bitcoin, I am quite sad to know that there are still countries
that prohibit Bitcoin. But as time went on and the popularity of Bitcoin increased, slowly, one by one, countries in the world will begin to legalize Bitcoin
as a legal tender, as El Salvador has done. So we do have to be patient to actually see Bitcoin legalized around the world.

I feel really happy because, for the second time, I used Bitcoin again to purchase a physical product.
It could be better for us if we all can use BTC as a payment method in our country. Nowadays the popularity of Bitcoin is increasing. Hopes, in near future our govt.. will take steps for Bitcoin's legalization.
I also brought a keyboard and a mouse from the money that comes from crypto income. It cost me 1200 BDT(keyboard) and Mouse(around 1000 BDT). I remember, I sold my USDT in the p2p market of finance, converted them into BDT, right sitting before the cash chamber of that shop.

May recent purchase using crypto is Laptop , a intel core 7 7th generation that costs me 1100 dollars (it is a complete set actually but not mechanical keyboard)

and yes this is the best purchase I have done from crypto .

wow that is really cool, that you can buy some goods directly with your bitcoin, honestly, i never buy anything with my bitcoin / other cryptocurrencies directly, usually i  swap it into my local currency and transfer it into my bank account, after that i buy the goods with that money
you can try to do it with the store of the goods you want. although bitcoin payments are not accepted yet, you can see how the OP did it.
initiate transactions with people we know. trying to offer payment with bitcoin. if both parties agree, then it will be your trading experience.

Dear OP, you did very well. transactions with people around that create new people's interest in crypto assets. I believe this will be a great start for more and more shops that will accept bitcoin as a means of payment for every trade.

Bitcoins being legal in Ukraine are now showing a trend where the sellers are legally accepting: bitcoins and ETH, I have not seen any other cryptocurrencies being accepted here, but at the same time it's not as common as buying a coffee with Bitcoins but rather you can try and get some household things from certain places if you do look closely. So before I did buy some dog food and pet products which is very very common but seeing the guy accept Bitcoins online was quite a big deal. I do think you did an amazing job here!! Using bitcoins as a currency far overlooked by many people but can work wonders for some, now you can even pay mortgage with Bitcoins soon or buy houses!

You have made a great purchase with your bitcoin for sure. I don’t have anything big to buy and so could never use my bitcoin. It’s only trading that I do with my bitcoin.

I am sure that must be feeling so good to make transactions through crypto and buy a physical product. I had the same feeling when I got my product upon paying in BTC.
So far I have bought a book called Citadel which is a bitcoin magazine and some domains and paid through BTC for them.
I have also bought some other products for which I made some indirect payments.
Next I am thinking to start doing mobile recharges since Binance has started giving that option these days.

It looks like you are shopping not at a store that officially accepts payments with Bitcoin. You pay the hotel bill and the cost of buying a mouse and keyboard to your friend. I don't think your friend will accept Bitcoin payments to other customers. But congratulations to you for using Bitcoin as a means of payment to your friends who have an online store even though the store does not officially accept all payments with Bitcoin.

Somehow, I feel not right to use bitcoin to buy a computer peripheral because I think we can use fiat to buy that product. I feel better converting bitcoin to fiat and purchasing the product. But anyway, congratulations on your second buy. Maybe you need to store your bitcoin to wait for the high price so you can use that satoshi amount for buying another product and not just to buy that thing. I can not find a local store that accepts payment from bitcoin so that is my reason to use fiat.

In my country, unfortunately there are no personal shop that accept crypto. I mean in my circle there are no person who sell things like that and mostly only selling digital thing. So i can't buy anything directly with bitcoin. Well, at least we can appreciate if there are someone who want to accept bitcoin as payment, as long when bitcoin price up or down, no one who regret it.

I personally wouldn’t pay for any computer equipment with BTC & I’ll tell you why….
If I was planning to store BTC on any device bought with BTC I’d be paranoid every single day that somebody may have tampered with it knowing what you may be using it for. I’d be scared there was some kind of malware present.

I’m sure it’ll be fine but just be careful.

Congratulations on your second purchase. Your friend is more interested in cryptocurrency I guess but not literally in cryptography.

I wish I have that friend who's selling his stuff for bitcoin or any accepted altcoin that he wishes to have or, I want to find that merchant that accepts bitcoin payment for sort of products like kb's and other computer stuff and accessories.

Hmmm do we have a topic “my first purchase with bitcoin”?
So, my first purchase happened few years ago, in 2015 or 2016, I have paid for Thaï take-away dinner for two… it was just to proof someone that Bitcoin is “usable”. Meal was really tasty, so it was a good deal Smiley
Somewhere I have already heard this ...Wink The main thing is that this dinner does not turn out to be pizza ..Wink
Paying for goods with bitcoins is a wonderful thing and I am sure that this process will only bring a positive reaction to the bitcoin price tag. But do not forget that bitcoin will still bring more benefits on the trade.

Hmmm do we have a topic “my first purchase with bitcoin”?

Of course, we have such topics, it is not the first time that someone wanted to share their enthusiasm with the fact that they paid something with BTC. I don’t remember exactly whether I did it in 2015 or early 2016, but I know I bought my first domain and hosting back then and paid with Bitcoin. The first physical thing came a little later and it was a hardware wallet, and since then I've bought a lot with BTC, unfortunately never food - but that's why I bought some good wines Wink

as long as I know bitcoin, I have never made direct transactions with foreigners to buy things using bitcoin. anyway, i just did it by exchanging bitcoin for fiat, and bought something. I made transactions like that long ago.
however, it might be quite interesting to use bitcoins directly to buy something. Unfortunately, in my country, bitcoin is prohibited as a medium of exchange, so I may find it difficult to do so. well, or can only buy digital products such as domains, hosting, and so on.
an obvious way of Bounty Hunters , always converting Bitcoin into fiat while there are really option to use your Bitcoin in purchasing online and those are being mentioned above you.

Yea congrats to the OP for the trade of Bitcoin for product, he knows and is looking
forward to dealing direct with a merchant who accepts Bitcoin.

More demand from buyers will show traders and merchants that should
consider accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment, obviously it would only
be viable in countries without a hardline stance against Bitcoin and crypto.

I don't blame them. It's their money and they do as they want.
While I do have bank account, I prefer the easy way the transfers are done between Revolut users.

Yep, because most big dogs in the world of digital skins do it as a business anyway, hence pay taxes and stuff; so having all the transactions on Coinbase is just extra speed and convenience for them and wouldn't need separate screenshots of on-chain transactions for proof.

It feels so fast, though I use the centralized method of Coinbase Friends to Friends, so I don't need to pay any fees either.

I think that this means that you didn't make any bitcoin transaction at all on the network.
And if so, you may get the wrong impression about bitcoin transactions.

Unfortunately this is still the norm. I've been a huge trader of online gaming skins, and a lot of times people are expecting you to be using Coinbase by default.

Though bitcoin tx fees right now are definitely nowhere as high as it used to be, people have been so used to free and instant transactions; and not to mention most a lot of people are already on Coinbase to start with.

The important part is to get them understand what are they doing: transfer of "numbers" inside a company's internal database, which is not actual bitcoin transaction.
But since OP has his own HW with coins, I'd say that he has a better idea how actual transactions look like.

Regardless of how you make transactions, what you consider as transactions using Bitcoin. In any way and by whatever method you do while it involves Bitcoin because you make money from Bitcoin then there is clearly a transaction relationship. Maybe just because the method is not P2P or between Bitcoin wallets to Bitcoin wallets. Once again you buy stuff and the money is made from Bitcoin, so I appreciate that. Customize crypto transactions with the goods you want to own in a way that you understand and are easy to do.

As long as Bitcoin was used I think that's a great thing and that it's indeed a best purchase. Never experience as well paying directly onto a Bitcoin transaction all of it involves some other things like converting it first to fiat or using centralized exchanges but I always say to myself that it's real and can be a thing even in the future.

For me it's okay to transact bitcoin with any method, and yes sometimes we face people with different minds and need to adapt to them. Most importantly, we as bitcoiners must learn all the transaction methods and know the risks.

Talking about privacy, bitcoin is so complicated. The question is, which is more private between paying via a centralized service or onchain when you buy goods at a physical store? In fact we have to give up one of our privacy concerns about our identity or the number of bitcoin holdings. One's curiosity will increase about something that is kept secret.

Congrats @Imran232 for the second purchase with crypto, specially with bitcoin. Keyboard looks good as i used fantech previously and currently using RK71 keyboard, but using headset from fantech. BTW, my second purchase was gift card with bitcoin and don't remember the first one, but it could be the domain purchasing.  Cheesy

Yes, you are right, but I asked him how I should pay you. He said, "though it is a small amount, you can pay me on coinbase." I have a coinbase account and you send me via email, so you don't need to pay transaction fees. Actually, he gives me friendly advice, so I take it; otherwise, he might think that I am rich and I am showing off to him. I am more and I can use it for fees too. That is why I just sent him an email, though I don't hold my BTC on coinbase, I use ledger. For some reason, my coinbase has a small amount of what I keep. That's the story, Man.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, but you may want to experience that too (or maybe you already did with your first transaction?)

I can tell that my first purchase with Bitcoin almost became a fiasco because I've sent the funds from an exchange. Afterwards I learned and sent from my own wallet.
One has to learn and get experience. It's part of the "journey"  Wink
