Lot of convoluted theories in here. Simplest explanation is that theymos has changed the algorithm, since this is the first major shift in trust on someone who had a lot of positive trust. I noticed that even after 6 or 7 people on the default list had given him neg trust he was still at 17x something.

Right. The Trust system isn't really designed to deal with "long con" situations, but it was performing particularly badly in this case. I changed the algorithm to more severely limit the maximum number of positive trust points you can get per month.

(I'm not saying that TradeFortress is or is not a scammer at this point, but someone with more than 30% negative trust ratings should have a negative trust score.)

I also removed TradeFortress from DefaultTrust (early yesterday), so his entire branch of the trust network is now untrusted by default.

When you say thirty percent neg. This only counts if it is trusted?

I'd assume so. Else...well, look at my trust page.

I think he mad.

Uh huh.

Boelens has trusted feedback again.

It seems like it's easier to get the initial +1 now, though. I have the same rep (+4(4)) as before TF was removed, but with green rep text.

The only trust I had from a person in the "Default Trust List" was from Boelens and because TF has been removed (Boelens was added to the list by him), my trust value has dropped back to 0. Undecided

I don't know, I'm not theymos lol. That was just my (relatively boring) theory.

Yeah , I guess all people with trust from TF lost trust.
We need to make a movement to support TF.
He did not scam anyone , but has lost most of his websites to h4xx0rs.

odd.. i just lost two points as well and when to check and some one in my trust list gave me two pos feedback,

getting more pos feedback can lower your score?

i also left neg feedback for tradefortress, maybe we lost trust by giving someone who theymos trusts neg ratings?

i dont know, just odd
Maybe if you remove trust from someone who trusts you (or remove trust from someone who trusts someone who trusts you), The System treats you as being less trusted? TF's connected to just about the entire forum's trust system.

If thats the case this trust system is so flawed obviously his inputs.io went sour i removed my negative trust from him to test it out still the same.

Did you change your trust list?  That could change how you see your own score.
