People should make note and start using quttera.com or similar services before clicking on a link or use virtual environments to open links which you're not aware of. Especially if your bitcoin wallet is on the same machine.

there is one thing that i dont understand, did you get infected by just clicking on one link or by clicking on a link +download&install something?

I have letyouearn on skype and he showed me a message when he tries to login that says email theymos your acct is locked. He has sent an email but has to wait for theymos to reply

So it was just a misunderstanding that yahoo's account was hacked? And what about the other user "letyoulearn"?

I really don't get how do experienced members here click on links which are infected. When anyone send me a link, I don't click on it and instead search the website on Google and then check the website's original link. Also, it's high time this forum has a method to stop atleast newbies/jr members from posting links as they are the ones mainly who pass these phishing links via messages.

This verifies that he has in control both accounts and the signed message confirms this too.

What they did is a good thing and i think they were pretty fast tagging your account.

But they should be even faster when you tell them that you got it back.

We know how things goes in our community, so it needs just time.

They were the ones who contacted the hacker for trying out his (malicious) script.

I have messaged badbear and theymos with the situation. The acct isnt compromised period if anyone bothered to read. I changed pw last night after clicking the suspicious link in question. When i went to login later i didnt enter the pw correctly. Plain and simple. When i woke up today and tried again i had entered the correct password and felt like a retard. Then proceeded to change pw again and wrote it down so i would not make the same mistake.

I can see your opinion is for the community here but at the same time, look around im not involved in any scammy activity. I have 2 outstanding loans due the 4th of feb. Im not gonna screw my account over .330. I suppose the "hacker" could control my keys but since the account wasnt really taken control of i dont think theres a worry here.

Basically i do feel i clicked a malicious link because after running a scan i removed 2 trojans and a downloader virus. I do not think the guy was coming after my account though. Personal information or bank info most likely. I also informed everyone right away once i felt like my account was compromised from sellsrmember account. Once i logged in to this account again i informed all members as well that all was good.

I dont know. I guess do what we gotta do in this case. I have pasted a signed message from all my addresses associated with btctalk and im not trying to pull any kind of exit scam.

At the end of the day, always scan a file downloaded from an unknown source.

Just because the messages are confirmed does not mean anything, this guy is playing games as much as the guy that he is claiming did something to him.  It is all just a big game and everyone is jumping right in and helping him, the timeline does not gel and the story does not work with the messages, have fun guys!

even if the signatures do verify, it would be a good idea to have BadBear take a look at the situation and see if his professional opinion is that the account is still hacked. If yahoo was infected with malware then it would be possible that the hacker was able to gain access to his private keys as well.

Though it was a typing mistake of yours, you did a good job of informing the forum that about the possible outcomes if your account was really compromised.
Just sign messages from 2-3 address that are 4-5 months old , and it will be sufficient.

I may have fallen victim to stupidity here idk. After i clicked his link last night i ran across the letyouearn thread and changed my password. Possible i wasnt entering password correctly last night and just kinda freaked out idk.

Once i clicked his link i also ran a virus scan(AVG) and came across 2 trojans and a downloader virus that were removed. So even if my stupidity on the password login wasnt him trying to hack my account he most likely was trying to steal some sort of information from my computer.

For all whom have neg repped me as asked i appreciate it. I can either post here with signed messages from multiple addresses associated with my account, Or you can all pm me 1 by 1 and ask for signed messages from whichever address you want a message from.

Being smart wont always prevent you from getting hacked, don't be stupid please and as far as I know master-p is a scammer, he didn't get hacked. This stuff can happen to everybody but yahoo managed correctly and informed everyone really fast that his account was hacked.

I like you first of all. I feel famous with the amount of attention you are paying to my account. I work weekends first of all and im away from my computer and access btctalk via mobile from friday to sunday. That being said i dont cruise every single section of the forum on the weekends. I mainly stick to the services section and check the threads for the campaigns i manage.

Yea i also posted for unpaid moderator positions for a moneypot app i own. Im not a rich guy and this guy was saying he needed "administrators for a casino" not just basic moderators. So the case is a hell of alot different.

I wonder what is happening to Forum ? First LetYouearn got hacked and then Yahoo got hacked...

I was supposedly checking out his casino via a link he gave on skype. Clicked link and instead of going to a casino it went to some meter. then 5 mins later i was unable to login to yahoo acct.

ive ran 2 different scans on the machine and removed 2 trojans and 1 downloader virus, plus uninstalled skype for now.
