Ok, thank You for the heads up. I will try in different app (wallet), electrum can not open it,  synchronizes too long and nothing happen. Will try to find some similar app on android.

Since your phone is still under KitKat version it would be hard for us to find which wallet will work on Android KitKat.

Anyway, there are many other options not only electrum for mobile but I think the result might be still the same.

What I think is trying to install an older version of Electrum mobile?

Electrum 2.3 to 2.7 version might work on Android KitKat. You can download them directly from Electrum download page from here https://download.electrum.org/ as an APK extension.

It seems that older than Electrum 2.7 below doesn't have APK file so try the 2.7 version under that folder then install and import the seed phrase just don't forget to set it to BIP39 so that the seed from mycelium will work.

Just make sure to don't update the Electrum if it asks for an update to avoid phishing.

At least you already have your backup. That's all you need to access your coins.

If it won't work using mycelium, you can always restore all of your private keys using any other BIP39 compatible wallet (e.g. electrum).
Regarding your issue with mycelium.. i unfortunately can't help you. Maybe the last update broke something for andorid 4.x ?

Must say thank You. Now i have finally made backup (like You said waited for 60 seconds). Now I have seed safely stored on the paper. One more question can I now delete mycelium add and reinstall it, enter my seed and the same wallet will be created? With btc on it?

Absolutely. I've done it plenty of times myself.

Can you give us more idea about what phone you are using and what Android version of your phone?

So that we can help you how to find the developer settings and enable the ADB in USB settings this one needs code if you are using Samsung phones.

If ever you are using samsung you can find the developer under settings but if you can't find it go to about> then tap 7 times or more the "build number"
Now it will show the developer under settings just go back and check then tap the developer then look for USB debugging tap it then choose allow/ok.

If you are using samsung after you do the above guide you need to go back and dial this "*#0808#" and look for "DM+ACM+ADB" just choose it then ok reboot the phone and connect it again to PC to do some ADB commands to debug the Mycelium wallet.

I am using Samsung SM-G355HN (a bit older phone) Smiley. Android version 4.4.2. So if You can help me find developer settings it would be great. I went to about, tap 7 and more times, but nothing happened. But I think developer is active now. Ok I will try this as soon as I will try to backup Mycelium wallet. Thanks.

I could not call #0808#, i receive error invalid code MMI?

I do not know how to run mycelium in debug mode. I can not find ADB on my computer, i am using linux. I need to wait for 16 more hours to try to create backup.

adb should be in your distro's package manager. Which distro are you using ?
After installing, you need to connect your mobile via USB to your computer, enable debugging mode (developers settings) and use the adb runas command.

The chance aren't that high that it will work. But definitely worth a try if you are not able to create a backup.

I am still waiting for backup, i hope in next 12 hours I will be able to create backup (wait for 60 seconds) and see what will happen. This trick with USB is quite heavy, but if backup wont work, i will try it.

I tried to open new wallet in Electrum with public key from mycelium but it did not work.

The public key won't allow you to spend your BTC. You need the private keys.

Oh, so i need private key for allowing me to spend BTC from Mycelium wallet. Thanks.

Is your phone rooted ?

If yes (which it shouldn't, because it is a security risk), you can easily copy over all necessary data to your computer, to gain access to your private keys.

If not, you might still have a chance by using ADB to connect to your phone and trying to run mycelium in debug-mode. This should not be allowed by the application, but is still possible relatively often.
When running in debug-mode, you will have access to all files owned by this application. This would also allow you to copy all necessary files over to your PC.
Unfortunately i never tried whether mycelium can be run in debug-mode, so i can't tell you whether this will work or not.

Thank You for the answer. I will wait for 2 days (again changed PIN), then i will wait for 60 seconds and see what happens. So if backup can be done, i will see original seed right? Cause then I would try to open new wallet in new app with seed from mycelium. Do I understand this correctly?

Yes. It'll show you the seed its account is based on. You'll be able to import that into another wallet.

The button will show you the countdown and won't let you press it until the 60 seconds are complete. Did it do any of that during your failed attempt? When you say you cannot click the button what exactly do you mean?

It did not count down, so i did not know, that i need to wait for 60 seconds, so button was dark and i just could not go further, just back. So now as soon as i will be able to create backup (1 more day) i will wait for 60 second and see, if button will turn white, so i can click on it.

Hello once again,

now i have trouble also creating backup of my mycelium wallet, i waited for 24 hours (cause creating new pin), now i can not click on button i understand the risk of creating backup. What to do now?

This might be an insultingly obvious observation but are you waiting a minute before pressing the button? It gives you a 60 second countdown between pressing backup and letting you press the button to get the seed.

If it's still not allowing you to do anything I think you need a developer response. It might be that updating a corrupted version is totally safe. Best to wait for confirmation.

I did updated wallet with update on 13th of September. I changed my pin, so now i need to wait for 1 more day to create backup. So if it will work in 1 day i will create backup and store words on paper.

I hope next update will fix this issue or what else can I do?

As long as you have the seed you'll be free to take the seed and try another wallet if the update or reinstalling Mycelium doesn't work.

The only issues I've had with it after several years of use are their servers going down, which affects everyone but has only happened a couple of times, and occasionally I've had to reload the account when new transactions didn't show up.

It sounds like it's crashing on you which has never occurred for me.

Do You think this bug could be fixed itself in a while?

Have you tried to check if there is a new update on google they recently released the latest Mycelium wallet last Sept. 13, 2019.

Before you do update make sure that you have a backup copy of your seeds. You can backup the wallet under settings or just go to accounts click the account then create a backup upper right of the screen. Now copy the seed phrase one by one on the piece of paper. After that start updating the wallet by going to Playstore then look for Mycelium then touch the update.

I do not wanna loose my btc, which i have on Mycelium. Thanks.
If I remember correctly (haven't used Mycelium in a while), it has you write down a seed phrase when you create the wallet.  As long as you have that, your coins are safe.  It sounds like some sort of glitch, though I don't pretend to know anything else about it.  I think I had similar problems when I was using Mycelium as one of my main wallets, but it eventually just resolved itself.

OP, if you find a fix please update this thread, as it might help someone else getting a similar error.

Edit:

As long as you have the recovery seed of your mycelium wallet then I'm sure it's safe, it's just that the mycelium app is buggy af.
Ah, you beat me to it!

I did send error report to Google play and also to mycelium contact ([email protected]), but no reply yet. Please help. I do not wanna loose my btc, which i have on Mycelium.
That's probably a bug, is your app has the latest build?

You can make an issue request on their github page here instead of emailing them.

Try to search on block expolorer your wallet address used to received your funds, if there's no suspicious transfer of funds from your wallet then it's still there. As long as you have the recovery seed of your mycelium wallet then I'm sure it's safe, it's just that the mycelium app is buggy af.
