I just don't know OP if you solved this problem first, maybe around this time you had maintenance on the mycelium wallet apps. Because based on my checking the update about it, I didn't see anything bad.
The issue is solved, he was using an old version of the app.
Tip: Try to read a few replies back and at least a glimpse of all replies the next time you plan to reply to a thread   Wink

Quote of OP's reply:
I am happy to share that my mycelium wallet is now back to normal.

Followed simple instructions of nc50Ic regarding the updates of app. The mycelium version that I was using was very older one. The reason it did not update is I have kept the wallet on my smartphone which is nor in use and remains turned off all the time.

Maybe as long as you have the important things needed for the mycelium, you can still recover it, because honestly, I haven't heard any bad news about it. It's fine as far as I know.

For anyone who might encounter this problem: JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE UPDATED TO LATEST APP VERSIONS.
I think that a better advice is to keep the seed (or private keys if imported) backed up safely offline. Then whatever happens you're good.
That's exactly what I was going to say, so I'll second it.  If you have the seed words written down and stored safely, it doesn't matter if Mycelium disappears forever.  That's one thing I hate about web wallets that you can't back up with seed phrases; you're dependent on their continued existence, just like exchanges.

Glad you got your issue sorted out, OP.  When I was new to bitcoin I had some extremely fear-inducing moments just like the one you went through.  Hope you learned from this thread.

Frankly speaking, learning newer things everyday from the forum. Actually you gotta be crazy enough to do things and make reversible mistakes to learn these things.  Grin
I don't know, I always read articles, learn from somewhere and jump to the actions, and whenever I am stuck or made mistake then bitcointalk is the escape platform where I would drop my question and boom, you get to see similar experience everywhere.

That makes me think, Im on the right track of crypto world. Lolz.

I have done this with so many things, loosing my ledger to burning my mining rigs to loosing the web wallet mania!! The good thing, at the end everything was sorted.

Thanks a lot!  Cheesy

After all Mycelium (or any other wallet!) is just a software, after all it can have bugs and you don't know if sometime in the future even an update won't help. Just keep backup.

Yeah its true. The first thing that came on mind was where I kept my private key and the seed.  Grin
Fortunately I had written down along with photos of all captured with the help of other smartphone. So I was sure that I will be able to extract the same somewhere else.

So yeah, it's a good lesson. I had same problem with my ledger which I lost recently and also asked for help regarding its recovery.

These are such critical lessons for me, I think I will never loose my private key and phrase anytime in future.

Thank you very much @nc50Ic and @Charles-Tim,

I am happy to share that my mycelium wallet is now back to normal.

Followed simple instructions of nc50Ic regarding the updates of app. The mycelium version that I was using was very older one. The reason it did not update is I have kept the wallet on my smartphone which is nor in use and remains turned off all the time.

Due to this neither android was updated to latest version not the mycelium app itself.

I am so much relieved after this. Had crazy morning. Lolz.

Edit:
Also, if I import the address to electrum with PRIVATE KEY, then should I be worried about the wallet integrity?

Will it be completely fine to still use the same address for receiving future payments?
Electrum is safe as long as the wallet is created in a safe environment and the secrets are safely imported. (also follow the link in Charles' reply)
For address reuse, regardless of the privacy issue, you've been using the same address before so there'll be no difference if you continue to use it again.

If you want to reuse it, use the option "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys" when creating a wallet.
The "Private key" option of an existing wallet in "Wallet->Private keys" will only enable you to sweep the address' funds.
But a new standard wallet with new seed is recommended.

Okay guys. Thanks a lot.
Let me check if I have old version or something.

Currently updating the android to latest version. Then will checkout the mycelium wallet version. Let's just hope any of those workout properly.

I have Mycelium installed before upgrading my phone into Android11 and it did crash after typing my pin.
But after updating the app to version 3.10.0.3 from Playstore, it works without issues.

If this keeps happenings then all my earnings would be gone forever. But what's my fault I am not getting it?
If you saved your "12-words backup", you'll be able to restore your HD account associated with that backup.

No, you can not lose your fund. Mycelium wallet is noncustodial and HD wallet, you can recover your Bitcoin on Electrum. But, I will advice you to just first delete the wallet, download the latest version, I believe it will certainly work perfectly. Or just use this guide to download electrum. Import the seed phrase and check the BIP39 box. Do not forget to include the passphrase if you used it when you generated the Mycelium wallet.

Also, the seed phrase will work on altcoins wallet, but make sure you transfer your Bitcoin into another wallet entirely after the importation if you want to use the seed phrase to recover altcoins too because altcoins wallets like Coinomi and Trustwallet that can help in this case are close source. But I am still perfectly sure that the error will not appear again after you delete the old wallet and install the latest version of Mycelium wallet.

Hey guys, I am not sure what happened but I tried to access my Mycelium wallet today and it is continuously giving me terrifying notification as shown in the screenshot below.

It's very frustrating to see this notification, because I am not able to open the app and not able to access my funds.

Had anyone come across such error, if yes, what to do?
