Hi,

Installed this plugin - https://kb.myetherwallet.com/en/getting-started/using-mewcx/ and I get -ws after the network.

Is this normal?

Thanks
That's normal and that means if you are connecting to the infura node. You can change it anytime to connect to another node. If you wanna connect to the usual node and just change it into the myetherwallet node and i think that already listed there.
This is clearly stated on myetherwallet github as the provider was giving you some nodes to be used
https://github.com/MyEtherWallet/etherwallet

It's not a problem and when you feel inconvenience with it and just change it into another node that familiar for you like myetherwallet or etherscan node.

CMIIW, that's a dapp right? I think it's the API of it and not sure if that's just a normal thing.
Although it is from MEW directly, I refrain to install any plugins on my browser if it's related to my funds.
