I always use forkdelta to send tokens, you have to enter a private key and set gass 9 gwei, that's enough and never fails.
if it fails try just raising the gass price.

i guess the simple ways to know recomended gas and gwei limit is sending your token by imtoken , they are always set automatic recomended gas for sending any token.

Same problem for this week.

Transaction gas price is too low. It does not satisfy your node's minimal gas price (minimal: 2000000000, got: 1000000000). Try increasing the gas price.

1800000000 gas = 5.04 eth.

I also experienced the same problem https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20867130

I also want to ask, if I send 0.1 - 0.2 ETH to the same address, whether the previous transaction can be confirmed as well or not?
I also encountered that same error when I sent my tokens with a lower gas limit. It automatically got cancelled so I tried sending the transaction again after I put 0.09 eth in myetherwallet and it send with the calculated gas provided in the transaction.  It didn't cost me much eth because I sfill have 0.083 eth in my wallet. I still don't get the calculation of fee tho.
200000 gas is recommended to send tokens, it doesn't mean you will pay high fee.
Network will take only necessary eth for fee.
I've sent tokens with 200K gas and network took 0.002eth for fees. I think it depends on how many transactions are there at the moment.

I'm trying to send a token to an exchange and I am not sure how much eth should I put in ny mew accojnt. currently I have 0.02 eth in there and I tried sending the tokens but I received an error that my gas is too low.

I'm not familiar with using mew so if someone can help me how much eth I should put in my wallet and how much gas should I input to send the transaction, that will be awesome.

here's the error I received:
Transaction gas is too low. There is not enough gas to cover minimal cost of the transaction (minimal: 23320, got: 21000). Try increasing supplied gas.
For me, Myetherwallet has become one of the safest platforms. In your case, it is necessary to make a gas limit increase.
You are just totally shit posting and doesnt have any sense on the post you had made on this one since you are just telling the public on how good do ETH platform. Its just common sense to increase gas limit since its being advised or theres a caution message when you tried out to sent out a certain tx. 20000 or 21000 is the default gas based on my experience 21 gwei in short if you do tried to scroll it up on MEW top right but you can even still lower it down if the network isnt congested even myself do made tx with just 2 gwei.

For sending tokens, set the gas limit to 200000. This is what MEW suggest. Note that extra gas will return to your wallet. So don't worry about the high fee.
How much is 200000 gas convert in eth tho? I need to know so I can put an enough amount in my mew wallet.

Transaction fee= (gas limit * gas price)/1000000000   (in ETH)

Pls what is the relationship between Ether gas price and gas limit.?

Gas limit is the amount of gas you need to have in order to accomplish your transaction. Like in order to drive 100 miles you need some X amount of gas, you need to have at least 21000 gas to transfer ETH and, say 200000 for sending ERC20 token. Gas price is the price you are willng to pay for a single unit of gas.

That is why your final fee is calculated using the formula you can see above.

recharge your eth balance to cover GAS,  minimum hold 0.1ETH to cover GAS for all transactions

Can you tell us what token you intend to send in exchange? Because from what I know the coin developers themselves are the ones who provide the recommendation on how much gas one needs to put in to send their tokens to a specific exchange site. For example, in Humaniq their developers are the ones who gave the recommendation to place the gas limit at 100000 if one wants to transfer his/her HMQ in exchange sites. The same is done by Status (SNT), DAO.Casino, Basic Attention Token (BAT), etc. They have provided gas recommendations on their posts on their sites.

Perhaps if you know the site of the token you are planning to send in the exchange, then maybe it's a good idea to just ask them how much gas you need to apply to do it.

I still can not solve this problem, already you solved on your transaction problem?
I intend to send 0.1-0.2 ETH again to the same address that there is a transaction that is stuck (out of gas) but I still doubt whether if I do sent ETH again and then the stuck transaction can be successfully confirmed or not.

0.02 ETH should be more than enough to send tokens.
Just set higher gas limit, default is 21000 so set it to 200000.
It will probably take 0.001 ETH fee, more or less.

Try putting an Ethereum worth 0.005 bitcoin, that's the amount I sent on my MEW and successfully withdrawn my coins from MEW to Etherdelta. A friend of mine told me to put at least that amount to be safe.
Wow. That's a lot for a fee considering the value of bitcoin. Thanks for the suggestion. I will do what you suggest and hopefully I will be able to send my tokens by then.
