yeah we will think about that. We are aiming at those starters, that do not want to think about any pools and just get a working solution…

Hi styleshifter,

thank you for your reply. You can set the active currencies here:

The software mines the most profitable currency from the activated currencies, so only activated currencies are considered by the software.

We updated to v2.19i and added support for Ethereum classic as well as support for Cruxpool (ETH pool) and Coinfoundry (XMR pool). We are happy about your feedback!

I tried the new version today.
Great that you support ETC now but how can I select to mine ETC?

Hi nc50lc and joble,

we are an officially registered company in Germany (HRB 82480 Düsseldorf). So everybody can look up our chargeable address, name of managing director, contact details etc. in the (official!) commercial register of Germany as well as on our website.

myMiner UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Managing Director: Niels Kaufmann
Schwindstraße 6

In addition:
- myMiner is digitally signed using a certificate issued by GlobalSign, verifying that the executable is built by an officially registered entity/company called "myMiner UG".
- While designing our software, we put a lot efforts into giving the users tools to verify the mining performance of myMiner, including from 3rd-party sources, so users can check their progress at the respective pool(s). There are even links to the users' statistics in the software, to make it as easy as possible.

There have been a lot of scam miners posted recently and your post look just like them:

I disagree with this statement. I have yet to see a scammer who is
a) using an officially registered company (in Germany!)
b) publishing digital signed software
(most likely since it wouldn't be very wise to do so if one is a scammer)

However, we are open for suggestions. What entities would like to put us to the test? Do you have any independent mining software journalists in mind? What would it take for you to trust a new closed source software?

I'd like to know what they think of you collecting a dev fee from their software.
It's either covered by the license of the software or we asked them for permission (or both).

Best regards,
Niklas

I can agree with your explanation about the malware detection but,
since your software is closed-source, people will always be skeptical about it.

If I were you, I'll add reviews and testaments (from trusted source) or ask a trusted member to review this software to gain some reputation.

I have to agree. There have been a lot of scam miners posted recently and your post look just  like them:

- closed source
- posted by a newbie user
- targetting newbie miners (only newbies use GUI miners)
- slick ANN
- giving reassurances of trustworthiness

As it stands you've followed the same path as scammers and you can expect to be treated as one
until a trusted third party can vouch for you and your product. The developpers of the software
you imported would be a credible start. I'd like to know what they think of you collecting a dev fee
from their software.

I never trust anyone who says "you can trust me".

Hi P00P135,

thanks for the heads up. If you look in the analysis, most antivirus softwares correctly identify our software as a crypto currency miner.

e.g.

Quote
ClamAV: Multios.Coinminer.Miner-6781728-2
ESET-NOD32: A Variant Of Win64/CoinMiner.DU Potentially Unwanted
Ikarus: PUA.CoinMiner
Kaspersky: Not-a-virus:HEUR:RiskTool.Win32.BitMiner.gen
ZoneAlarm by Check Point: Not-a-virus:HEUR:RiskTool.Win32.BitMiner.gen

As all miners are having issues with antivirus, myMiner has them too. We are shipping etherminer and XMR_stak, which are detected by some antivirus companies, which we can not change.

To address this problem, we have a code signing certificate. That proofs, that the software is built and shipped by us.

In addition we are a registered and you can look up our contact details.

If there are further questions, feel free to contact us or post in this thread Smiley

Looks nice! I tried it. Unfortunately the price for cryptos is way too low, so mining is not fun.
But: My GUI has Ping issues (shows a Ping of 0) and maybe you should get rid of the commandline window.

Wish the best!

Version 2.25a

In the late summer of 2017, a friend of mine ask me how to get started with mining with his AMD 390.
While I would have been able to get this done in less then 10 minutes, doing it remote via text messages turned out to be an annoying process.
We talked about miners, pools, the windows command line and how to bring them all together for quite same time. Explaining multiple new concepts at the same time really does not work out to well most of the times.... I really wished there was an application which I could just throw at him, like: Look, here is an application which will get you started into mining, you don’t need to do or know anything at all, just start it!

Soo, here we are, more than one year later and proudly present to the public myMiner, which is just that: a one-click miner.

There is no need to create an account or to configure anything, just start it and you are in business.
You can take a look how mining works and if you want to invest further time in it, without doing anything upfront!

We take a little cut for us (the developers), but apart from that, myMiner is free-of-charge, no ads, no data collection, no telemetry and no premium features.
myMiner mines using your wallet (either generated by myMiner or provided by you) directly.

What are your thoughts?

Features

  • Direct poolmining
We are not a man in the middle, there is no loss of money due to non-transparent exchange processes. You can chose the pool you are mining with.

  • Verifiable progress
All numbers and values are checkable with third parties. You can verify your pool balance on the website of your pool, so myMiner can not show any fake data and mine secretly in favor of someone else.

  • No login or registration
For real mining you never need any account. You only need a Wallet-Address, which is generated by myMiner. If you already have a Wallet-Address, you can use it, of course.

  • GUI with wallet- and poolbalance
There are even more information regarding your mining devices in expert mode.

  • Up-to-date exchange rates
To find the most profitable Coin, myMiner looks up exchange rates regularly.

  • Devfee 2%
We want to develop and improve the software more and more. There is a fee of 2%.

While this release is fully functional, it is still an alpha release. Therefore let me introduce you to what is currently implemented, what is work in progress and what features are up next:

Future:
-   Pool, Coin and Miner choosing
-   More Currencies/Pools and miners
-   Supported GPUs: AMD HD7000 series [GCN1] and newer, NVIDIA GTX600 series [Kepler] and newer

FAQ

  • Which Currencies are supported?
At the moment you can mine Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Monero (XMR).

  • Which mining software is included?
    Ethminer (https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer), XMRig (https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig) and XMR-Stak (https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak)

  • Which Pools can I use?
    ethermine.org; Hashvault; Nanopool; coinfoundry; cruxpools;

  • Can I use my own Wallet-Address?
Yes. Click on the gear-icon to enter your address.

  • Why is myMiner trustful?
To verify, that myMiner displays correct performance values, you can visit the website of your pool and check your progress.
This makes the use of myMiner comfortable, because you need not to worry about fake data.
Also, you will get your payouts directly from the pool, so we never get in touch with your earnings.
In addition, this is not a self-moderated topic and you can see our contact details on our website: www.myminer.org
We also do not promise any fabulous hashrates, you will use the mining software everyone else does. myMiner is just a tool to make it as simple as possible.

Use the software on your own and give it to peoples, who are new to Cryptocurrencies and want to start mining.

We are interested in your feedback and feature-requests :-)
