You understand that you'd only be doing it for educational purposes and won't be rolling in mega-coins any time soon right?  The electricity you use CPU mining will be more expensive than the BTC you earn as mining has evolved now to something best left to the serious guys with their specialized hardware in places where electricity is cheap.

If you still want to proceed, you can read lots from the guy who released GuiMiner from his announcement in this forum site here:

He includes tips and help info, and you can read the hundreds of posts for more guidance.  Doubt you'll get more help than that since profitable miners don't encourage competition, and the easy mining days are essentially over.

Hi,

Just trying things out with GUIMiner and could use some advice:

- Which server/pool is best for me?
- Where do I specify my wallet address for GUIMine to send me any mined coinage?
