Nigeria is not for the weak, the level of hardship keep increasing daily. Getting a job in Nigeria is really difficult. We have massive number of graduates out there that are walking in the streets because of no job and the smart ones have provided good paying jobs for themselves. It's really a tough situation in the country and there's simply no appropriate method to dissolved this crucial condition, it's have been in existence even since we were born and I can boldy say it won't change now.

Getting good job in Nigeria isn't easy in any way. Government job is either through God intervention or by man know man. Whereas jobs from good private sectors come with a lot of criteria. Even sometimes the government jobs also come with this criteria. The major criteria I wish we discuss here is age and experience. If I'm not wrong, most times getting a good job may require you to have some experience. After getting this experience sometimes, age may have against you as most of this sectors demand for a young and talented people.

This made me to remember a friend's word "when I was young, it was experience. When I got experience, it was age".

This has been a problem for most graduates. But the solution to this is in our hand. We can aquire experience as a student while still in school and by doing this, age won't again us. Some of the ways out are listed as follows:

👉👉Volunteering free job: During holiday, you may visit a workplace associated with your course and ask if you can render a volunteer service for them. Everything isn't about money. Although they may not pay you but you are both gaining on this side. You work for them but you will later acquire knowledge and experience through the process. If you are well behaved, this company may even later employ you after schooling.

👉👉Work shadowing: shadow someone at work may give you some experience needed to work perfectly in the field.

👉👉Take a part-time job:  Engaging in a part-time job can be a way to acquire experience for job placement in the future. Just don't be carry away by the peanut being paid by the company but you rather focus on the job, relate with your fellow workers even your boss as to gather good experience about the field.

👉👉Get a superior mentor in the same field and similar interest: This may be a family, neighbor or friend. Since he knows more than you and he/she has an experience in that same field. Moving around with him/her and discussing his/her job roles can be a good advantage for you to acquire enough experience. You can discuss going to work with him/her at your free time. The more you visit his/her office and join him/her in some work, the more experience you gain.

👉👉Internships: Internships are a great way to acquire knowledge and experience in a career field or job when you are still studying. Internships are perfect for developing a successful career in a prestigious company that’s connected to your study interests. With this you get to know better in the field you are looking to learn about. Depending on the company, internships can be paid or unpaid. But this isn't the point, the point here is what you are able to learn that can help you in your future career for the period of your stay in this organization.

CONCLUSION
I believe practicing one or two of the mention point above can help you to overcome the challenges of no experience as a fresh graduate when you are still young. Although doing this may not be easy at the early stage but will definitely help you after graduating.
