Do can i joint it?  Huh

Normally yes, you can join by signing up on the web site (nastyfans.org) and buying one or more seats. However, I read something here about the nastyfans services being down (including seat trading?) so it may some time before that is possible again.

Thank you very much for your helping, i am sorry because i am newbie. I will bookmark the thread hope i can understand about it.

I have traded the Avalon6 for 0.25 BTC & a R9 Nano GPU that I am using to assist in creating vanity addresses for our Minted Seats Coin Series.  I have been generating addresses for the 2oz silver/gold coins for months now, and am anxious to get them out the door to buyers.  Additionally, with rumors of the S9 being made available soon, I thought it was best to get rid of our least efficient hardware and raise some funds in the process.  I have transferred the recently mined coins from Eligius to NastyFans along with 0.25 BTC to NastyMining here.  This does bring our hashrate to low levels, but it is only temporary.

I plan to release all nastyfans services code as GPLv3. The new code I write for transaction server is already available on github at: https://github.com/nonnakip/nastyfans-suite

That is some sleek code.  Cool

Thanks for all the hard work. I know it is time consuming.

Hello nastyfans.

I apologize that things are moving so slow. We are now 8 weeks with no transaction server. This means no distributions and no functioning auction and many related services offline. I do not try to restore the old transaction server because it relies on bitcoin-core too much and that is not sustainable. I take time now to re-implement transaction server.

There is not much there now but it will increase as I finish new modules and we transition to a more reliable setup.

I renewed the TLS certificate for nastyfans.org.

I hope to begin issuing missed distributions in 1-2 weeks. I will issue individual distributions for each missed distribution. The distributions will use the data from the correct distribution points. Since many transactions can be considered a waste of BTC with more tx fees I decide to cover all tx fees for these distributions personally.

After missed distributions are issued I will focus on fixing the auction. I expect it only takes a couple days to implement and test before bringing it online.

As in my last post I ask for continued patience.

Firefox is now flagging the Nastyfans site:

"nastyfans.org uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 4:47 PM."

Working now. Thanks, nonnakip.

Yes, most things NastyFans are basically not working currently.  Luckily, this does not impact NastyMining operations.  Please remain patient as nonnakip finds the time to resolve the outstanding issues.

I believe the letsencrypt renewal or fix for this is just 2 command-line strings. I just went through this not too long ago. Having to recert every 2 or 3 months is a pain, but it does increase security.

Any estimates on when distributions will begin again?

I am hoping this quarter.  The only guidance we have received so far is to be patient.  I am continuing operations as normal, and am still raising funds for my solar dream in the meantime.  This week we will mint our 2oz .9999 gold coins, so we are progressing.  I hope to announce our next silver coin in the coming weeks as well.

TL;DR Many services on nastyfans.org not working correctly. I am alive. I will fix everything. No distributions will be lost. I ask for patience.

We're going to need a bigger heatsink.
One of our S7's has been down for about 24 hours.  After looking into it, it appeared to be due to a firmware issue that relied on a 114.114.114.114 DNS server in China that has gone down.  I have updated the firmware and things are up and running again.  Smiley

Funny how it's literally the internet's fault that the s7 wasn't working.
(Okay, not really, but close enough!)

Glad to hear it's back up though.

EDIT:  Machines went down again for a few hours on 4/23 because my internet went down...

Hey guys,

I have 10 S5 machines (11550GH/s) with Bitmain which is about to expire from cloud mining and I am thinking of donating those machines to NastyFans. I just want to see if there's an interest to accept them in? If the shipping costs to wherever your mining operations are can be covered/reimbursed, I'd be happy to arrange it once the machines have been decommissioned. Thanks.

Jet

Very cool!
