After the Game 2 loss the Nets are now saying that Ben Simmons will return on Monday for game 4 of the series. I can’t wait. It’s also looking like Devon Booker is going to miss a couple games because of his hamstring, which opens the door for the Pelicans to possibly extend the series long enough for Zion to return, which is rumored to be a possibility for game 5, which will happen now that the series is tied 1-1. Zion is playing 5 on 5 contact basketball right now, so I honestly think there’s a decent chance we may get to see him play in at least one game before these playoffs are over. That would make a lot of people feel better about Zion’s future with the Pelicans.

Sorry @Kelvinid, I thought you'd already win your bet.  Sad
If he places a bet for the Celtics, maybe he can withdraw his stake on wins of 114 for the Celtics and 107 for the Nets.

I have believed since yesterday that the Celtics will beat the Nets for the third time, I saw that the Celtics basketball team has good players such as Brow, jayson, marcus and many others.

@Kelvinid, they will meet again this week/24/04/22, would you like to do something for the Celtics vs. Nets, basketball team?
I think you have to see yesterday's players if they are on this Sunday, my score is 90% Celtics will break the Nets for the 4th time.

OP, do you place your bet? If yes, your chance is good as Brooklyn Nets is having a 10+ lead.

But Celtics Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are still silent. If they will explore, later on, they might have a chance to cut the lead. Both team superstars are still silent and their role player teammates are doing much of the scoring.

The second quarter is approaching.

It's a much better performance from the Brooklyn Nets tonight, especially in defence which was literally what cost them the Game 1, They are much more organized defesnsively so far at halftime, and offensively as well they're pretty much efficient putting up 65 points against the best defensive rated team isn't a fluke, they've got all it takes to win this series with relative ease in as much as their defense is a bit better. Claxton has been much more impressive than Drummond imo, and he should probably have his minutes increase for this.

Unfortunately, the Nets melt down in the 4th quarter. The defense of the Celtics picked up in the 4th and they limited Durant. If you guys watch it live, Durant was having trouble with the defense of the Celtics and Tatum even blocked his shot.

True, it's over now, we've seen the Celtics taking over the 4th.
The scary part is that they were able to shutdown Durant, double and triple teaming him at time. And that makes Durant pass the ball, Kyrie is non existent in this game as well. While the Celtics have a good balance contribution, specially Pritchard, when he was inserted late in the 3rd quarter, he provided the spark and I will say he is the big difference in this game.

LOL, this game is so bad, Nets were unable to handle their lead and they even did not cover the handicap. Damn Nets, I don't know if I can trust this game in game 3, with the way they are playing, they won't get past the Bucks who are good defensively.

Irving is having a great start, another great performance for sure in game 2 and maybe we will see a different result which is Nets winning the game. Good luck everyone, not only the handicap, the moneyline bet is also good.

IMO, Nets will make sure they'll win game 2 so they'll have the edge in the series, and it seems that it's what they are doing now.

Brown has 12 points already for the Nets. great contribution.

This thread is for the specific game only, let's discuss this particular game and let's see what you have in mind.

I am leaning on the Nets to cover the spread, my pick is Nets +3.5.

Last game result, Celtics won by 1 point only, so Nets should not be dominated here IMO.
I'm also leaning towards the Nets +3.5 or even a ML which is more juicier.

Current odds +3.5 = 1.94, and then ML = 2.34

The Nets still has Durant and Irving, two of the best offensive weapons we currently have. But in order to win, both of them should play above par. Maybe they should at least score 30 point or more or have someone to help them. And they can stay with the Celtics and fight it out in the last minute of the game, they have a good chance to win Game 2 as I have said, they have the two clutch player.

I think this shouldn't need a separate thread. But anyway, after Game 2, this should be locked.

But let's discuss some details on what happened in Game 1.

1st Quarter - 2nd Quarter
The score is always close. Both teams successfully exchange shots regardless of whether it's well-defended or not.

3rd Quarter
Boston Celtics managed to outscore Brooklyn Nets by 35 points over 24. Celtics ended up the 3rd quarter with an 11 points lead.

4th Quarter
Brooklyn Nets make a rally and they are able to cut down the lead. Later on, they even got the lead. From there, they are now back again in close scoring.

Conclusion
It's not that Brooklyn Nets will dominate the next game but the +3.5 for them is a worthy pick if we are to based or refer on what we see in Game 1.

I think the Nets have way more talent and game 1 was the result of Durant having a bad start and the team being exhausted at the end of the game. The first part will fix itself as Durant is one of the best players in the world. I think Steve Nash has to take a little blame for the second part. He had a lot of fresh legs sitting on the bench but chose to go with a group of exhausted players that were watching Boston make uncontested layups down the stretch. I’m excited for game 2 as game 1 was great, but I think with some simple adjustments the Nets should be able to win big in game 2 so long as Durant isn’t home celebrating 4/20 right now.

Do you have any plans to place a bet for today, for the basketball team (Nets vs Celtics), last Monday I also placed a score bet for the Nets vs Celtics team, I thought I had no chance of winning because I held the Celtics score, in fact the result was a narrow 115-114 win.

I have important information for you today, if you are planning to bet I think it is related to this thread of yours to determine who wins tomorrow between Nets vs Celtics.

I think you should take a look at what @Jason Logan said, it seems to make sense.
Pilihan dan Prediksi Nets vs Celtics Game 2: Never Count Out Irving & KD

I'm sure after you read what @Jason Logan said, at least you know which team is strong to bet on today.

A lot of things went wrong for Brooklyn Nets in game 1 tbh, but the fact that they stayed competitive all through the game is something to be wary of, they gave away too many easy points in the paint, if they can get better defensively then they stand a great chance to not just cover the spread but also take the game. KD didn't have a good game and it's not even any where close to what his standards use to be.

The problem is, they can't put up a defense against Celtics. Heck, I might even go as far as saying that they didn't really exert that much effort in game 1 as you can clearly see with KD's lackluster performance.

I'd love to believe that the Nets are just gauging Celtics' overall performance, especially on the way they defend and pass the ball around but that must be copium on my part.

NB: I think this conversation might be better suited in the already existing NBA betting thread though, because creating a a new for almost every game might just flood the board, since we're not even in the finals yet. I'd rather prefer a single thread, perhaps for the finals

While I mostly agree to what you've stated, perhaps OP is just asking for this particular game only because the NBA discussion board is already flooded with lots of topics and there's really no uniform topic that is being discussed there at this point.

No matter what, i believe Nets will gonna win against celtics, wherein for me IMO surely it just an opportunity for celtics to take the lead but soon there will be a changes like what always happen in NBA reason the game is getting intense..

Perhaps 2 consecutive wins for celtics then until game 7 it's for the Nets.  Cheesy
