Rather than to just label Ncultimate a scammer I will provide evidence I have gathered as to why he is a scammer.
The SituationHe offered me 1 BTC for 300k Doge, which I understand to be a ridiculous offer however he agreed to use an escrow service so I decided it could be legitimate. After spending an entire day finding an escrow that was suitable to his standards he finally agreed and we exchanged details for the trade. He claimed to be sending the btc from bter so we had to wait. After waiting over 26 hours now I do not believe there to be any transaction occurring and here is the evidence I have collected which has lead me to believe this.
EVIDENCENcultimate is the username for a moderator on reddit.com/r/dogemarket. I spoke to him today and he said he did not have an account on bitcointalk.org (False reference or impersonation coincidence?)
Secondly his skype name "tempishot" belongs to a previous user named "TandemSkys" (
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u%3D225125)
I have been chatting to "tempishot" on skype to sort a trade originally offering to sell Doge for btc at a much lower rate. After searching his skype username I found links to scam accusations for his skype name when he was under the account name TandemSkys and negative feedback on his account. When I presented him with this information I should have left it at that but he claimed he was hacked and so the trade continued.
Finally after waiting over 24 hours for the btc to transfer I asked for a transaction ID to verify that the bitcoin was processing. He told me he would reply with the transaction ID on skype however he never did. He continued to go online and offline on bitcointalk and replied on there saying he had just got home and would reply then. No reply and I don't want to waste any more time on this trade.
ConclusionI have come to the conclusion that Ncultimate is a scammer and that his hopes that I would get sick of waiting for an escrow transaction and simply send first is his motivation. His commitment to following a trade right up to the escrow stage could be to give his account validity and the users dealing with him more trust. Its worth noting that his previous account "TandemSkys" had a similar trade situation occur where the escrow was just never paid. You might ask why I would even bother going through this with a newbie user. The fact is that the same user will continue to make accounts and continue to use similar methods to succesfully scam people. I just want to prevent this user any way I can from wasting anybody elses time. I am going to provide a link to the post on all of his current trades in order to ruin his account.
tl;dr;
I presented evidence for the argument that Ncultimate is a scammer. Believe what you like.
