He was trying to offer a solution to your need. It would not be prudent to lend you as much money as you are asking for with only your account as collateral and he was offering a more reasonable amount.

I have personally never lent more then .1 BTC using a senior member as collateral unless there was some special circumstances.

Well from what you can read : the reason for a loan is a payment - 0.1 wont really help since I need something closer to 0.3, so there is no reason to post it. Also I mentioned that I want to fit within 3-5% which I believe is reasonable. Regarding collateral I said I can add steam items - which are fairly liquid and non-refundable.
He offered me 0.1 for 8% thus making a post with absolutely no point other than to upset me, which I believe was the point from the start

I don't see you getting a loan at the rate you are offering nor the size of the loan you are asking for. I might suggest looking at more traditional means of financing your purchase/"payment"
