There may be several recommendations from all kinds of books I will want to know how prepared are you basically reading all this books may give you all knowledge needed but that doesn't guaranteed the successful trading.
Successful trading depends on self willingness to strive harder even after reading some of these books ref to you the ends results depends on the amounts you used in trading, meaning you must use amount that can be more balanced to your mental state of reasoning otherwise using amount bigger than what you could carry may affect you if mistakenly beginning to incur losses.
Ofcourse there are countless books in the space, but I always stick to the proceeds that would make me a profitable trader. In the present day of trading, books are not required, what is needed the key basis of trading. Consistency also matters in the market, that's were it gives birth to experience which will sealed a trader throughout the entire space. Becoming a successful profitable trader, doesn't require studying complex trading relating books, but the determination to become a successful trader requires some essential qualities.

If you are just getting started in trading or are interested in touching up on some existing knowledge you already have or learn some new skills, there are three to four trading books that can help you discover new methods and enhance your abilities. They're recommendations I've personally got.

1. Try Kathy Lien's "Day Trading and Swing Trading Strategies for Profiting from Currency Market Moves."
2. "How to Make a Living Trading Foreign Exchange: A Guaranteed Income for Life" by Courtney Smith.
3. "Technical Analysis for Dummies" by Barbara Rockefeller.
4. "Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques" by Steve Nison.

Meanwhile, if you quest for more interesting reads, you can then click on the link below to go through a list:

Hello everyone , I'am a beginner on crypto trading and i'am
looking for your recommendation on some essential books on how to trade/trading strategies (preferably on day trading), any of your recommendations would help, thank you.
Reading books is very traditional but a big help too.
I remember reading books as well and its more about trading in general. If you can find a book locally the better, and also more details are available online just choose the reliable site for this. Trading is not easy, and doing your own study about it will be a big help, I suggest to try also other platform while learning how to trade.
However it is a choice because some people are more comfortable with how to read books,
there are many platforms that we can use to learn so make the best use of it,
what is clear if your trade wants to grow then learning it will help.

something that I was able to conclude in this whole time that I was in this cryptocurrency market and trade was that many courses and books on day trading themselves, are not of much help when dealing with cryptocurrencies, it is true that basic things like support and resistance, volume, technical indicators are things that can be used but in terms of profitability it is a very difficult task, I would say that day trade is more for the forex market than for the cryptocurrency market and the problem is that courses and books about day trade talk forex

and when the person reads the technical analysis books and videos, he becomes very motivated and with determination and hope that he will make good profits in the cryptocurrency market with day trade, but when he puts money in and starts to operate, he realizes that he is not making a profit because nothing What he learned applies to the cryptocurrency market, so the person needs to look for videos of experienced traders who are operating cryptocurrencies and at that time the person will see that they are operating in the long, medium and long term, which is the only way to profit in the cryptocurrency market

There's nothing I can recommend because I don't read trading science books.
I prefer to watch videos and look at some trading articles.
Now there are many videos available for beginners on how to analyze the crypto market and what tools to use.
A lot of knowledge you can easily get nowadays.
Reading books is not bad, but as another support video is a good medium.
I agree with you, but it really depends on the culture of each person from country to country. For example Finland, they are a country that has the world's best literacy rating as released some time ago.

But of course the development of technology and intelligence has made it easier for many people to get a lot of information. Many video creators share their knowledge in various media, both Youtube and others. But I don't think beginners need to be too excited to make a quick buck in the market, and they just need to really focus on improving their skills and knowledge before trying anything risky.
Beginner traders have their own preferred medium where they can learn easily and where they can learn more. So if they’re fond in reading, those articles found online would be a lot of help. However, for me I’m usually fond on seeing videos, aside that I easily learn from it, at least my eyes too will start to familiarize the scenarios and factors that occur mostly when trading. So whatever your preference OP, give it a try. Also, don’t forget that this forum too will give you valuable ideas about trading. Explore the trading boards and you will definitely learn a lot from the well experienced traders.

Books are actually losing their value nowadays as most beginner traders just prefer learning from online articles from a legit source. You can actually research some good articles online and do your due diligence to read and understand them. Also, don’t underestimate the power of this forum. You can always learn from the traders experiences shared in this forum, and you can always make some follow up questions if there are times you find it hard to understand.

Books can serve as a personal navigation system, directing you around the twisting byways of this dynamic world. Some examples of classic literature are as follows:

- John J. Murphy's "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" A wealth of information on how to use charts to your advantage.

- Philip Fisher's "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits." - helps you recognise a unicorn from a mile away.

- Joel Greenblatt's "The Little Book That Beats the Market." A succinct manual for raking in the dough.

- "The Disciplined Trader" by Mark Douglas. When you need to rein in the urge to go for broke.

- The book "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas. It teaches you to trade with your head as well as your heart, which is just as vital.

You are the one behind the wheel; the books just give you directions. Put on your seatbelt, drive safely, and good luck in the markets!

You are welcome to the trading journey. You should take baby steps each day and not rush it. You have asked a very insightful question. I have gone through the thread and so many book recommendations have been given. How do you go about picking the right one to start with? Some of the recommended books are not beginner friendly so you should approach with caution. You should explore which is your favorite learning style, I always recommend that my friends start with a short 10 minutes to 15 minutes video introduction on trading. The best was to find the one to watch is to simply look at the video with the most views it means the speaker knows their onus. From there you can get a general idea of the direction to take whether it be through books, online course, YouTube videos, etc.

Here are highly recommended books that can provide valuable insights into trading strategies, including day trading:

  • "The Bitcoin Standard" and "The Fiat Standard" by Saifedean Ammous
  • "The Only Cryptocurrency Investing Book You'll Ever Need" by Freeman Publications
  • "A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online" by Toni Turner
  • "Start Day Trading Now" by Michael Sincere
  • "Technical Analysis of Financial Markets" by John J. Murphy

Enjoy, and good luck!
Most of books in your list are for investment, not for trading.

[LIST] Big Library of Bitcoin & Blockchain Books. Some books for trading in that list and check Awesome crypto trading.

I only want to remind that trading is harder than investment. You will have more difficulties in trading than in investment and I believe newbies should start with investment first. They must be intelligent and successful investors before they can be intelligent and successful traders.

Now it's more practical, on Youtube there have been lots of ways to share about trading techniques for beginners and there have been practices, so you can see how the initial process for beginners is so that it's easier to understand, I also prefer to see videos and several other articles which makes it easier for us to learn without buying books.

Now times have changed and learning media has become more sophisticated. Not only from reading, but watching videos carefully will provide a lot of knowledge and can also be immediately practiced. Beginner trading video tutorials are really explained in detail. Especially now that there are also many AI that make it easier to learn, you can ask AI about trading tips and some of their understanding easily.

Trading in the zone by Mark D. A lot of people see it a very valuable book and because of that I bought it years ago but never opened it since I already had the info to keep going. However, I still advice you to read it based on the hype that book had by then.

For the avid readers, we understand that reading a book is best enjoyed while relaxing. The need to chock down several important information by reading is more of studying.
In this case, the book you should be looking for, should be able to prep your mind and stimulate your imagination. It should be able to help you think and carry yourself like an investor in cryptocurrency (if that's what the book is about). Not one that talks about a different story like love or sci Fi.

Better still, the kind of books you meant can be summary articles on the subject of interest, which in this case is crypto. Watch more practical videos online and discuss with real time mentors. It will double your chances of trying it out, and also you get to make profits faster.

Personally, it's best to join mentorship than to rely in books because most of the time you will just learn an outdated trading strategy which is not working in a modern market. And for the books, I suggest to read a book that will improve your psychology in trading such as Atomic Habits because what I have noticed, most people who loses a lot in trading are the one who don't have discipline and patience, they're the ones who forcing a trade without a clear setup.

1. Binance Academy

I strongly recommend staying away from reading Binance Academy for beginners, as it is basically an encyclopedia for anyone who wants to increase their information about something without going into details or knowing it in depth, which is something different as @op wants to learn the details and start his journey to learn trading properly, and therefore Binance Academy is not a place fit him.

The Crypto trader is good

How to day trade for a living is a book for active trading which is L2 after you learn trading basics.

I do not advise you to read a book only to master trading, as trading is based on experiences, experience and psychological factors more than just a person reading a book, and therefore creating a demo account and learning the basics of technical indicators while following the news and controlling emotions is much more important than reading a book, which may not be updated according to the course the price.

Read the basics of trading and you can read The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham to find out
Create a demo account and learn to trade without losing your money.
Learn how to draw Tradingview charts.
Repeat until you learn from your experiences.

Personally, I have not read any book on trading, I rely on YouTube or tutorials from the Internet when I need to explain a certain point or increase my knowledge about trading.

This differs from person to person. Some people find reading books more fun and useful, while others like to follow YouTube and Telegram. In the end, it is important to increase our knowledge and gain experience in trading the way each trader sees fit.

But the problem is that books, YouTube or online courses do not give you trading secrets if they are free.

For the beginner watching Youtube channel give education about trading in cryptocurrency looks better than reading a boook, but first time when trading in cryptocurreny never read book and practice it directly in the market. I think right now many success trader put out their ideas on how to be successful in trading cryptocurrency in a book, but I don't sure when practice it you will ge success in trading.

Almost have unpredicatbel thing when investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency, actually when whales coming suddenly give effect for bitcoin drastically up or down.

Maybe he doesn't know how to use Google properly? I mean if what is the specific keywords that he will use to get the best results. That is why he just head straight on the forum but this place is much better than in Google. Google only indexed the relevant results from other sources but Bitcointalk is the direct source already for crypto information.

Documentaries are interesting to watch because they are mostly based on facts but I think they are less important. They can only wait once we are done with the main subject of crypto trading. About downloading files. It's indeed risky if you will just get it on random websites though you can always scan it using an anti-virus/malware software.

The books can give you basic knowledge about different trading standards but the most important part is practical experience you will get in real market and how to implement those strategies according to the situations.Sometimes what we read in the books don't work in actual scenarios so try demo account while reading the books which will help you a lot.
Basically it will always be different because when it enters the real market it is very complicated,
it's not as easy as in the book so don't expect that when we have read and mastered it doesn't mean our decisions will always be right,
The most important thing is to keep learning and trying lots of experiences.

There are a lot of trading books that you can see. It's easily searchable on Google. But for me, these are the books that I have read and helped me have a great approach to trading.

- Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline, and a Winning Attitude by Mark Douglas
- Trading for a Living: Psychology, Trading Tactics, Money Management by Alexander Elder

Those are the books I've read and they are very insightful to what trading could do for you and how you could approach it.

I don't think there are a lot of books purely focused on cryptos in trading but I think how to win at trading and stock trading wizards are the two that are really helpful and actually help the new comers in creating their strategies when they are new to the market. I feel somehow these are good books for newbies.

Would you prefer books or videos that go straight to the point. Books can get boring to read and sometimes the major points and things you should take note of are hidden in between too many unnecessary sentences that you miss them. But if you are the type that like reading and you are good reader, books can be good for you. But I still feel that you should have and request for some videos that you could watch as well to summarise the knowledge. The benefit of these videos is that you can always rewatch them easily than looking for a paragraph in a big book.

Hmm, there are still people who read books, I was assuming now people just read blogs and watch tutorials which are although more effective in learning. Book readers are really rare still I have some recommendations for good material, Bubble & OR Revolution and The Crypto Crash Course still there are a lot of good books but these are 2 books I've heard about most of the time.

I will still recommend you if you are interested in learning the most effective medium is videos.

Above many people have shared you some good quality authors and book names so I didn't share the book names but I want to suggest you something different. In addition to learning about trading from the book, you will try to gain a trading experience by depositing a small amount of money into a good quality exchange account with some ideas from your book. And if you have any free time then you can browse online about trading related topics. And you will get various videos related to trading on different social media, keep following them. Hope you can become a good trader with the ideas of the book as well as practical experience and various videos from social media.

The ultimate question is that will a book impact you more than your own experience?

Because,  I am sure investing a portion of your time into trading just to gain experience and build a skill is far more better than reading tons of books related to trading,  so what is most important is for you to read and learn the basics of trading and thereafter applying that knowledge in your trading activities over time.

Anyway I haven't read any books from above but I researched a little bit and these are one of the most popular books for crypto trading. You can also complete some courses where you will be able to learn about trading from basic to advance within a short period. You can find them in Udemy.
What can I say, I think OP do know the use of Google or any other search engine and yet you still search some famous trading books for a newbie on the internet and suggested them to OP, what if I say, Op's intentions to learn about basics of crypto along with the teaching of day trading. And you didn't recommend him the one he was asking for. Well, I mean to disrespect and I didn't intend to point out it, but I thought it would help you to make more useful posts than these (As, this could be improved, no disrespect).

SeriouslyGiveaway, your recommendations are not relatable too, In my POV. Note* i know, the like and dislike of suggestions is for mainly OP, but i also had the same query so i think i should take this thread as an answer to my questions too, so, that's why i mention my feelings for some recommendations.

After whatever you read from the books suggested to you, you need the techniques and technicalities involved in analysing what you have read and interpret them in the charts and your trade. Therefore, practice your trade in demo before going life. Moreover you need to understand technical analysis and fundamental of the trade analysis too. Visit https://www.babypips.com/

I would recommend you to ICT Trading you can search for it easily on youtube, he is also known as the mentor of all mentors teaching Smart money concepts and price action.

I don't find any books that are helpful in terms of strategy (I want it to be in a course or video sample teachings). But I would recommend you some books that tackle trading psychology. Those will be Mental Game of Trading, Trading in The Zone, The hour between the dog and the wolf.

I would also recommend you to watch trading documentaries on netflix or at youtube, it will help you to realize proper expectation on trading your own account and what professional trading truly is. Wish you best and good trading.

I think it's better to read it here on this forum platform, and this is the section you go to and then you can ask questions or interact with those posted on this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board= 8.0 There is a lot to see constructive discussed here.

Or if you're not satisfied, you can also watch tutorials on YouTube, it's up to the influencers who you think make sense of the tutorial that is said in the content video that you can also watch. Good luck to you Smiley

Books recommended above are enough to teach you about trading, but you can also visit YouTube and watch some tutorial videos on how to trade, but videos you see on YouTube might be talking about profits alone, and in trading, their is always profit and lose, but make sure your profit is more than your lose.

You should know that its not all about watching videos and reading books, you have to put everything in practice, and you have to start with little amount you know if you lose it wont affect you. Don't think because you have watched different videos and you will think you know everything already, and you will end up starting with big amount of money, its not done like that, you have to start practicing gradually and you will develop your own strategy, everyone one is having strategy that works for them.

Who are professional traders?

Start with demo tradings but between demo trading and actual trading are big differences. You will be more greedy with actual trading, feel more stressful and make more mistakes.

Read those books that other have mentioned already. But the strategy to use in trading that is most important are:

The use of very little amount of you your money to trader. Trading is very risky. First see it as gambling until you make money from it frequently. If you still lose, see it as something dangerous.

Do not leverage or at least using low leverage. If you use leverage more than 5x for bitcoin, it is getting too high. For a better and convenient trading, even use no leverage at all.

Trade with good coins like bitcoin. Some good trader will keep on losing just because of the shitcoins they are using to trade.

Learn how to use indicators and learn about fundamental analyses too.

Discipline yourself. Do not be addicted. Do not be greedy. Overcome emotion. These are very important.

Every time I dig slightly deep into trading discussions, this book almost always gets mentioned: "The Mental Game of Trading" by Jared Tendler. Can't vouch for it though because I haven't read it nor am interested in day trading. I'm more of a fundamental trader myself!

Have you learned the basics of crypto ? Because there are many useful books where you can learn about the history of crypto, about Bitcoin deeply and also have books here writter discussed about the machanism of Virtual Currency.

I can suggest you Cryptocurrency by Abraham K. White to learn about cryptocurrencies and trading.

There are two books that I have seen highly recommended for beginners Day Trading and Swing Trading the Currency Market by Kathy Lien and Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John J. Murphy. These two books can provide useful information in your trading journey. You can also refer to this thread - Big Library of Bitcoin & Blockchain Books for books related to trading.
