The verb "to mint" means to fabricate new coins.  The Spanish word for it is "acuñar", which is very precise, and translating it online yields "monnayer" and "battre la monaie" as sensible choices.  The noun "mint" (usually capitalized) is the institution that physically makes coins and bills, as in "The US Mint", and that apparently really is translated as "l'hôtel de la Monnaie".  Have a look:

I'd be happy to help with other questions you may have, I have a good level of French (I'm a native English and Spanish speaker)

yes, I already try it but sometime it doesn't mean anything for exemple google translate mint as "hôtel de la monnaie" but I really don't know what does it refer to.

Can you explain to me (in english or french) what did "mint" mean like that I would be able to understand the word and give a correct translation.
In addition I believe that Satoshi used google translate too ^^ because sometimes I saw newspaper (journal in french) and the sentence would be more comprehensive by saying log (also journal in french)

Probably "Produce for the first time"

Though it specifically refers to the building in which coins are stamped. The US Mint.

I think "hôtel de la monnaie" means something in the nature of this (but not exactly of course)

I'm no french speaker though.

Hi,

I am actually trying to traduce the Satoshi paper in french, but some sentences are hard for me to translate.
So I am looking for an English speaking person (or several) who have a godd level in french to help me in this translation.

I will post here the sentences to translate.

Thanks

Gellimac
