You can go with this one, but make sure to check games requirements.
http://www.amazon.in/HP-15-r036TU-15-6-inch-Laptop-Sparkling/dp/B00L2B290U/ref=sr_1_22?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1407655433&sr=1-22

4GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, 2.16GHz  N3530 (Quad Core) (which is newer and better than i3 3217 http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-N3530-vs-Intel-Core-i3-3217U), comes with windows 8.1 and you will also get a laptop bag free.
It's going for 26k on flipkart so grab it from amazon.

I like it Smiley but I don't know about the company ASUS Is it good company?

Asus is the world's fifth-largest PC vendor by 2013 unit sales (after Lenovo, HP, Dell and Acer). Asus appears in BusinessWeek’s "InfoTech 100" and "Asia’s Top 10 IT Companies" rankings, and it ranked first in the IT Hardware category of the 2008 Taiwan Top 10 Global Brands survey with a total brand value of US$1.3 billion.

I am planning to buy a laptop below Rs. 25000 or cheaper but I don't know much about it. Can you advise me on what things to keep in mind when buying a laptop. My only use of laptop is some work on excel and small programs and music and some games like counter strike and movies.

I don't know much about processors and all the other technical details, so any advise will be helpful. thanks.

Is it ok to buy laptop from online sites like flipkart and amazon, they offer big discounts?

Asus X552EA-SX006D Laptop (APU Quad Core A4/ 4GB/ 500GB/ DOS) for 21000 is good deal, lot of positive reviews
