If you're still unsure about trusting an escrow agent (just because we do you don't have to), how about just using an open source escrow smart contract on Ethereum? If you don't mind following some basic technical instructions, localethereum.com is a good place to start. There's at least two other similar contracts out there but this one is pretty good with the instructions.
Side question: does anyone know of something similar for Bitcoin (without using multisig)?
