I used yam-yvg1900-M7j on beeeeer.org with pretty good results. My older macbook pro was getting 155CPM on CPU. Get one from here and pick your CPU architecture.

For primecoin mining Im using mac port of xolominer available on homebrew.
0.012 chains/d on macbook air and 0.028 chains/d on macbook pro

You can use the CPU Miner window in MacMiner, but you need to set up as though you were setting up Litecoin to use it for Primecoin mining.
