There needs to be some heavy mod'ing of the discussion board. Most of the threads are repeats of other threads, or threads where the post couint is going for parity with the price of Bitcoin. Smiley

Workload needs to be delegated between current staff for sure as there's too much weight resting on the shoulders of a few and this is something I've been urging theymos to do for quite some time. There are several boards with no dedicated mod assigned at all and huge boards like Bitcoin Discussion and Marketplace should have their own non-Global mods assigned. I wouldn't be against promoting a new mod to staff either as I think some people who are on the 'top reporters' list have probably earned their dues.

Honestly I don't see the benefits of having such things or rather users being promoted to be auxiliary moderators or part-time moderators. Current moderators are more than enough, however we could always help them by making accurate reports, so they could be notified in regards to certain issues and do the appropriate actions.

Don't you think Moderators playing part-time role could be necessary for Bitcointalk?

Their role will be to help moderate the Threads whenever the main moderate are busy or signal them to help moderate.
