I made an account quickly and pressed imported wallet instead of standard wallet and I received 1 Bit. It never asked me to make a seed or password. And it says its watching only and I have no seed or key, but I have about 6 grand in this account. Is there a way where I can get the money to a standard wallet account or did I lose 6 grand because I pressed the wrong Wallet type. Please respond ASAP.
P.S. I made this account from my phone on electrum

Strange, electrum wallet every times give seed 12 words.
If you imported wallet, you have private key.. Without private key can't import wallet.
Need more details.

He says he was the one who created the account and after that he received 1 BTC to that newly created account.

As much i know about electrum wallets, watch only account are not created but you can open the existing account as watch account to just check the wallet details. So it means that the wallet before itself existed and who ever have created should have the seed key, If you did not hold the seed key then i think the coins are lost.

If you got the seed key then you can open a new wallet with standard wallet feature and then it will ask the seed key and it will open as regular wallet.
My point exactly. From what I understand and what I wrote before, watch only is basically the mirror of the same wallet you should already have access to. So if he imported his wallet address to the watch only wallet type he must have imported an already existing wallet from what I understand. If the wallet already exists, and it is his - he is the one who should have the keys/seed to it.

There’s not really much of a point in continuing to discuss this until op says where the source of the coins came from. If it was from his wallet, an exchange or somewhere else.
And yes, a watching only wallet requires an address/public key in order to be useful and doesn’t create one for you. Unless op just made and address, imported it and forgot to log the private key then...

I thought that watch-only wallets are actually mirrors of your existing wallets that you already have the private keys off.  Huh
Is it not a way to keep track of your transactions without actually logging in to your actual wallet where you are keeping your bitcoins?
Someone fill me in please.

Yep. That's exactly what he did. He simply imported an adress, resulting in him only being able to see balance/transactions.

@OP if someone "sold" you that adress, you got scammed.

It's not your money. You have no seed or key. (Just an adress?) Which everyone can have. So you didn't really "lose" anything, as it wasn't yours in the first place.

Unless ofcourse, as i stated above, you "bought" that adress from someone.
Is either the OP bought the address from someone or somebody is trying to scam the OP since he's novice and they know once the balance show up in his wallet he will believe that btc are definitely send to his account.
Said this cause the OP actually opened ti thread for the situation and this was what he said on other thread.

This is probably what he’s done but there’s a lot of watch-only wallet cams about.
If he bought those coins, someone might have sold him the address for $6000 and not the private key that actually controls those funds.

after you pressed that, you must've entered a bitcoin address... right?
where you get the bitcoin address from?
did you provide your own address to receive that 1 BTC?
or you received 1 BTC by importing a bitcoin address made and given by someone else? (=scammed)

Well, if it's watch only,  Electrum wallet doesn't have the private  for that addresses.

Probably lost, unless you somehow saved a seed or some privatekey when creating it.

Well you probably lose all those money and you cant use it if you dont have private key or seeds. Did you importing address instead importing private key?

What did you actually do?

The coins are potentially lost, but if you just scanned the bitcoin address the coins are in then they’re presumably in the last wallet you sent them from?

Where did you send these coins from, log onto that account.
