If you join just for the bounties, it’s your decision. You will likely start doing social reports on the bounty threads, and that sometimes leads to breaking the rules of the forum.
You then will likely be interested in wearing a signature for a certain campaign that will require you to make no less that 20 posts per week on specific sections, only to realize that you need to be a Jr. Member (but for a few exceptions). You will then see that raising your activity is not enough, but that you also require to earn at least 1 merit. That will lead you to posting like mad to see if you get one. Since it is not trivial to get (I didn’t say difficult), you will then start asking why you didn’t get any merits and so on.
During all this process, posting quick non-sensical one-liners could deem the account as non-contributive through any post, and thus could lead to it being nuked or banned. You may even be tempted to copy/[spin]/paste in order to try to get some merits, which leads to a ban penalty.
The other way to focus things is to try to become a hybrid at least. That is, do your socials if you wish, but also try to post meaningful content in your posts to avoid being banned for becoming a spammer. It requires more time, but should end up being a safer path, if banning is of concern to you.
Start-off by becoming familiar with the rules in any case:
